一方面是接下來的實習會占用比較多的時間，一邊是GT的復習也進入緊張的階段，同時文書的制作也進入了高峰期。

既然我們花了這么寶貴的時間去實習，我們希望看到的結果不僅僅是一封實習推薦信，而是在專業認識和職業規劃上有一個質的飛躍。我將會從美國MSF學校的ESSAY題目出發，告訴大家，如何在實習中怎樣思考才能有事半功倍之效?

1.實習的任務——僅僅是推薦信嗎?

毫不客氣地講，很多學生對于實習的認識可能存在一定程度上的偏差。有些認為，實習就是過過場，無非就是讓自己的簡歷上有更多的內容。有些認為，實習無非就是為了找一個推薦人，從而完成自己的實習推薦信。那么，實習又應該是怎樣的呢?也僅僅是為了推薦信的完成或者簡歷的完善嗎?

還是讓我們從學校的申請要求說起吧。既然學校要求申請人具備一定的實習經歷，絕對有其更深層次的原因。其ESSAY的題目就非常好的揭示了這一點。與其說學校青睞你有一段銀行的實習，不如說是你在實習中的收獲，這包括學術上的進步以及個人職業規劃、道德修養等方面的提升。

因此，在實習過程中你要完成的決不僅僅是一份實習推薦信，而是聯系和驗證課本的專業知識，培養和提高自己的溝通和領導能力，制定和深化自己在金融行業的職業規劃，提升個人的職業道德修養。

2.我們為什么需要ESSAY——僅僅是學校要求嗎?

從表中可以看出，ESSAY主要可以分為四大類，當然還有個別學校會有更加個性化的ESSAY題目，到時我們再具體問題具體分析。由于本文主要是結合ESSAY的寫作，幫助大家更好地實習，因此我會選擇其中與實習緊密聯系的ESSAY，分析他們的具體的寫作思路，從而讓大家在實習過程中的思考更加系統化和有針對性。

4.結合ESSAY的寫作思路，讓實習的價值最大化

個人特性篇

對應的ESSAY題目1：你的軟件背景是什么?

思路：理論到實踐→進一步證明學術能力。

成績和研究是學術能力的有利證明，那么實習更是這種學術能力的進一步體現。由于實習時間或者公司的職位所限，很多實習生一般只能夠承擔一些基礎性的工作，那么，思考和用心就變得非常重要了!別人沒有給你機會接觸一些專業性的工作，沒關系，你可以多向同事請教或者主動提出幫助他們承擔一些工作，這樣自然能夠為自己創造一些學習和進步的機會。這樣對于詮釋你的軟件背景方面便有了非常豐富的素材。

對應的ESSAY題目2: 你有什么樣的重大成就?

思路：那么如何在實習中突出自己的學術能力→優異的工作表現

當然，重大成就并一定指在實習中所取得的，在學校的學術或者活動比賽方面同樣可以，但是我們不妨以這個ESSAY為出發點，激勵自己在實習過程中多抓住一切可能的機會，爭取能夠在實習中取得突出成就，從而成為文書素材的可選材料。

具體到銀行的實習，根據部門的不同，可能取得的成就也不一樣。例如：參加一個融資或者貸款審批項目，開拓了多少貸款的客戶，完成了多少額度。在承擔這些任務時，必然會遇到種種問題，而這些問題也正是為了最后突出所取得成就意義之大。

對應的ESSAY題目3：你有什么樣的團隊領導能力或者技能?

思路：商學院的任務在于培養未來的領導人→我是理想人選

與上面的題目一樣，這道題所涉及的并一定是實習。但是實習中所參加的項目往往能夠成為出彩的素材，特別是這個項目本身的含金量和最終成果比較大的話。因此，如果你在實習中有機會參加一個項目活動，你應該爭取成為隊長，這樣對于你的領導能力的培養有非常大的作用。

如果不是隊長，也不要緊，可以留心隊長的工作職責以及這個職位所遇到的困難和阻礙，比如當隊員挑戰你的威信或者隊員之間的溝通出現問題時，你的隊長是如何解決的?而如果你是隊長，你又將如何解決?

職業規劃篇

對應的ESSAY題目：你的職業目標是什么?

思路：親身體會金融職場→使你的職業規劃更加明確化

職業目標是非常常見的ESSAY題目，這也非常好理解，每個學校都希望自己招收到的學生是有非常明確的職業規劃的人，沒有遠大理想和明確規劃的申請者必然遭到淘汰。因此，在寫作這種ESSAY的時候要注意兩點：一為明確，二為理性。

首先我們的職業目標一定要非常明確，不能是模棱兩可的。很多學生申請金融的原因無非是進入金融行業工作，金融行業包羅萬象，那么，你想進入什么樣的機構承擔什么崗位?就算是金融機構中的銀行，也有不同類型的銀行，而崗位方面也是各有特色。

那么我們不妨把目標具體到某一個特定的金融機構，比如大家熟悉的投行，其中的某一個崗位，比如analyst。那么我們如何去確定自己的職業目標呢?實習!只有切身的體會和經歷，才能讓你的職業目標更加明確。

這也就是你在實習中要下的功夫!通過觀察和熟悉銀行的工作業務和流程，去挖掘出你真正的需求，從而向學校展示出你的這個需求(即職業目標)，而這個學校正好可以滿足你的這個需求。

此外，職業目標還需要遵循另外一個原則便是理性。你不可能一畢業就成為某個公司的CEO，中間肯定需要多年的積淀。這就涉及到一個問題：職業目標需要分階段，也即我們常說的長短期職業目標。長期目標可以遠大些，可以是CEO，CFO，這些都沒有問題。但是短期目標一定要是切實可行的。比如上文中提到的，投行的analyst，這樣的職業目標是你在畢業之后通過努力可以達到的。

因此，申請人不應該僅僅是把自己的職業目標定為投身于投行或者其它比較籠統的目標，學校只會認為這樣的學生本身對于專業和職業都沒有清晰的認識。

申請動機篇

對應的ESSAY題目：什么原因驅使你要出國讀MSF碩士?

思路：實習認識到自身的不足→進一步彌補，實現更大的理想

首先必須說明的就是，申請動機往往是與職業規劃緊密聯系在一起的。因此在這種ESSAY中往往也會涉及個人的職業規劃問題。

另外，這個問題涉及的不僅僅是實習，還有在校期間的學習生活。那么，具體到實習中，是什么樣的原因驅使你要出國讀MSF碩士呢?這個問題可以拆分成兩個小問題：為什么出國攻讀碩士?為什么攻讀MSF?那么在你眼里，你出國攻讀碩士的原因又是什么呢?是因為先進的教育制度，還是渴望在一個陌生的環境中培養自己的跨文化溝通能力和適應能力呢?這并沒有標準答案，你可以多挖掘出自己內心的想法，從而更加突出ESSAY的個性化。

思路：兩難選擇的境地→個人的價值取向和修養

這個也是美國商學院比較常見的ESSAY題目，主要是考察學生的道德修養問題。所謂道德困境(ethical dilemma)，指的是一個兩難選擇的境地，無論是選擇A或者B都會有遺憾的地方。而正是走出這樣一個困境的過程中，可以反映出你內心深處，或者說性格上的一些特性，比如對于他人的關懷，或者價值的取向等等。在你實習過程中你可能也會或多或少的遇到道德困境，比如做假賬這些問題，那么在這些涉及你的切身利益的問題上，你個人的價值取向就非常重要了。

而如何完美地解決這些，正是這類ESSAY足以出彩的地方。在寫作這類ESSAY時，心理過程是非常重要的，其意義甚至超過了最終的結果。因為這是一個窺見最真實的申請者的機會。比如在發現同事存在弄虛作假現象的時候，你是直接向上司報告，還是睜一只眼閉一只眼呢?你是如何判定這中間的價值的呢?而這個選擇的過程，正是你的個人品質等方面的體現。
