1.第一句中的定語 促進經濟發展的 較長，故將其處理為后置定語修飾 重要政策，翻譯時，可譯為現在分詞短語或定語從句，此外 促進經濟發展 是該項政策的目的因此宜增譯短語aim

at，譯作aiming at promoting economicdevelopment 或 which aims at…。2.第二句 自從…以來，尤其是… 為并列的兩個分句，因此可考慮將其翻譯為兩個由since引導的時間狀語從句 SinceChina

adopted..., and especially since the special economic zones were...，注意

since引導的從句要用一般過去時，主句使用現在完成時。3.翻譯第三句的 由于…中國西部地區… 時，可使用owing

to...結構表達 由于…，而 位置偏遠、交通落后、與其他地區交流不足 為三個并列的原因，可用并列結構進行直譯。在…方面不夠發達 可譯作 be

lessdeveloped in…。

4.倒數第二句的 為了解決地區間發展的不平衡 表目的，故將其譯作目的狀語in order

to...。后兩個分句可直譯為and連接的并列句，但這樣處理句子結構松散，稍顯平淡，不如選 中國開展了…運動 作為主句，將 在引進人才和投資等方面給予… 處理為現在分詞短語offering

areas is still a severe problem.Because of poverty, more than 30

millionchildren between the ages of 6-14 are unable to attend school or are

forced to drop out.Theimplement of Project Hope changes the fate of a large

number of dropouts and improves theschool faculties in poverty-stricken areas.The development of basic education is thus greatlyenhanced and the fine

school。

5.最后一句漢語句子的主語 希望工程的實施 后跟了4個并列謂語，如果對應譯為4個并列的謂語會顯得突兀，不太連貫，可將后2個謂語譯為被動語態，獨立成句，以增加句型的多樣性;助人為樂 可譯為takingpleasure
