《小學(xué)牛津英語》的特點結(jié)構(gòu)體系及其教學(xué)方法

1.啟蒙階段的《牛》

1)激發(fā)興趣、感受英語、培養(yǎng)習(xí)慣

剛進入小學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)的孩子在注意力,記憶力,觀察力,認識能力及學(xué)習(xí)能力方尚不能適應(yīng)學(xué)校的習(xí)生活。他們好動,歡說,表現(xiàn)欲強,對新鮮事物感興趣,但注意力持續(xù)不長久。外語對他們是一門完全陌生的學(xué)課,剛開始他們會覺得新鮮,如果一開始不注意教學(xué)方法

一味強調(diào)學(xué)習(xí)的目的性,要求他們做到這做到的積極性

不利于以后的那,必定會給他們的學(xué)習(xí)帶來壓力,影響他們學(xué)習(xí)外學(xué)習(xí)。因此我們把“啟蒙階段”的學(xué)習(xí)目標定為“激發(fā)學(xué)習(xí)興趣,感受英語,養(yǎng)成良好的學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣,讓他們喜歡

英語”。根據(jù)這一目標,首先在課文的安排上,是把孩子們最感興趣的話題作為課文內(nèi)容,如My body, My family, My room, My ability, Play time, New Year, Small animal, Birthday party等等。每課配上Let's act, Let's talk, Let's learn, 以及Let's play 和 Let's enjoy。加上課文中簡單的句子,和美麗的圖畫,讓學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)日常生活中基本的語言表達。如I like…, Give me…, Look at…, Go to…, I am…, You are…, I can…, I see…等等。這些句子學(xué)習(xí)以后馬上可在生活中運用,所

只要經(jīng)過老師適當?shù)囊龑?dǎo),創(chuàng)設(shè)一定的情景,學(xué)生說英語的積極性即會表現(xiàn)出來。應(yīng)該說明的是所有的學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容沒有語法要求,只要求學(xué)生聽聽說說,模仿操練,提供活動平臺。只是到二年級才有少量的書寫。因為“啟蒙階段”的教材這一特點,教材提供的形式生動活潑,有說

有問答,有唱,表演,所以只要老師注意方法,根據(jù)不同的學(xué)生情況,合理安排教學(xué)內(nèi)容,充分激發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣,調(diào)動他們的學(xué)習(xí)潛力,定會達到預(yù)定目的。

2)老師應(yīng)是準確

言的傳播者

應(yīng)該注意的是,雖然一、二年級課文的語言要求簡單,但從讓學(xué)生感受英語,培養(yǎng)他們良好學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣上講,老師應(yīng)該十分注意語言輸出和輸入的準確性。為此首先是要求老師有準確的語言表達能力,包括單詞和句子的正確朗讀。如果可能,單詞朗讀可以演為單詞的拼讀,這樣可讓學(xué)生為以后的詞匯學(xué)習(xí)打下基礎(chǔ)。而句子的朗讀應(yīng)注意意群停頓及升降調(diào),從一開始就培養(yǎng)學(xué)生良好的朗讀習(xí)慣。另外,兒歌的朗誦除了要求語音語調(diào)準確外,還應(yīng)該注意朗讀的節(jié)奏感,讓學(xué)生覺得有趣,朗讀起來朗朗上口,以至喜歡讀。此外,語速的快慢變化,朗讀時的變聲,都調(diào)動學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)興的好辦法。很簡單的學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容可以通過變化創(chuàng)造出精彩的學(xué)習(xí)形式,起到事半功倍的效果。另外學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)能力各有不同,老師應(yīng)十分注意利用他們的非智力因素,發(fā)揮他們的特長,引發(fā)他們的學(xué)習(xí)興趣。需要說明的是,一、二年級學(xué)生的英語測試應(yīng)以聽說為主,以直觀的畫畫連連形式為輔,千萬不能把成人的考試模式用在他們身上。我們

目的只要他們喜歡學(xué)英語,有了這第一步,以后的路就好走了。

2.入門階段的《牛》

進入小學(xué)三年級,學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣和學(xué)習(xí)能力以及自控能力有了明顯的改善,他們的外語學(xué)習(xí)進入了一個新的階段,此時的外語教學(xué)應(yīng)該體現(xiàn)外語學(xué)習(xí)的規(guī)律“循環(huán)、重復(fù)、積累、提高”。為此,從三年級起《牛》教材的“建筑模塊”體系就是遵循這一規(guī)律安排的。上面已就這一體系的情況作了分析。應(yīng)該說明的是三年級《牛》的教學(xué)可分為兩種情況。一種是以三年級為起始年級,即零起點學(xué)英語,另一種是已有一、二年級基礎(chǔ)學(xué)生學(xué)英語。

1)“零起點”的教學(xué)安排

因為沒有一、二年級“啟蒙”階段的經(jīng)歷和準備,對零起點學(xué)生來說他們對英語學(xué)習(xí)沒有感性認識,們對外語學(xué)習(xí)的認識僅僅停留在好奇和有趣的情況中。此時他們學(xué)英語會有一時的習(xí)沖動和積極性。因此,老師要十分注意把握好教學(xué)安排和教學(xué)要求,千方百計地保護好學(xué)生的積極性,引導(dǎo)好他們的學(xué)習(xí)興趣,讓他們覺得外語學(xué)習(xí)不但有趣,還很有用,認識到雖然外語學(xué)習(xí)對他們有一定的困難,但經(jīng)過努力完全能學(xué)習(xí)好。千萬不能要求初學(xué)英語的三年級學(xué)生一開始立即進入全面學(xué)習(xí)的要求。如果一下子學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容多,學(xué)習(xí)形式過于多樣化,他們會適應(yīng)不了,再加上考試和太多的作業(yè)會讓他們覺得困難,結(jié)果是學(xué)生一開始有的興趣和積極性會喪失殆盡,學(xué)習(xí)動力無從談起。解決好這部分學(xué)生的情況,一方面老師要在認真分析教材的基礎(chǔ)上,學(xué)會根據(jù)學(xué)生實際情況對每個Unit的內(nèi)容做出主次之分,并作必要的刪減,以便在教學(xué)中突出重,在有限的教學(xué)時間中,讓學(xué)生達到基本要求。另方面在這一階段,老師千萬要用好教學(xué)手段,努力用學(xué)生喜聞樂見的方法,把學(xué)習(xí)變成生動活潑的活動,激發(fā)學(xué)生參與教學(xué),努力把教學(xué)內(nèi)容體現(xiàn)在這些活動中。下面以3A M1 U4 “Saying and doing”為例,作具體的分析說明。

《小學(xué)牛津英語》的特點結(jié)構(gòu)體系及其教學(xué)方法

本課中包括的教學(xué)內(nèi)容有:Say a rhyme, Now Listen!Learn the letters, Look and learn, Say and act, Ask and answer, Say and act 和Make a play八個欄目。這么多的教學(xué)內(nèi)容對三年級剛開始學(xué)外語的學(xué)生來說內(nèi)容是多了。為解決這一矛盾,我們可以作如下調(diào)整。把Say a rhyme刪去,因為兒歌中涉及到oneten十個數(shù)詞,雖然可能不一定達到四會要求,但對這十個數(shù)詞一點不陌生。這樣他們在學(xué)Say a rhyme不會有困難。相反通過這首兒歌學(xué)

可以復(fù)習(xí)單詞,起到溫故而知新的作用。如果老師引導(dǎo)得得當,配上相應(yīng)的動作,學(xué)生在說說做做的活動中學(xué)習(xí)積極性定會提高,并激發(fā)起他們的表現(xiàn)欲,產(chǎn)生成就感。

接下去的Look and learn 和Say and act及Ask and answer是教學(xué)中的習(xí)得,模仿,運用語的一個完整過程,是本課的主要學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容,老師應(yīng)該重點安排好教學(xué)時間,通過操練帶動學(xué)習(xí),讓盡可能多的學(xué)生參與活動,使不同能力的學(xué)生在這個活動中都有練習(xí)的機會。在基本掌握Say and act的基礎(chǔ)上,可以讓學(xué)生進入Ask and answer欄目。此欄目要求學(xué)生自主完成,先讓有能力的學(xué)生作示范,帶動其他生。也可開展結(jié)對或者小組活動,讓學(xué)生相互幫助,相互補充,使每個學(xué)生都有練習(xí)的機會。如果有條件,可引導(dǎo)學(xué)生在Ask and answer的對話中適當?shù)卦黾诱Z言輸出,擴大對話的內(nèi)容。

例如 Open the window.中加入It is hot.Open the window, please.又如可說:The table is dirty.Clean the table, please.又如Hi, grandma.Close the door, please.等等。總之老師應(yīng)想方設(shè)法調(diào)動一切積極因素,創(chuàng)造條件發(fā)揮學(xué)生的積極性,有了學(xué)習(xí)積極性他們可能表現(xiàn)出老師意想不到的潛能,產(chǎn)生積極的學(xué)習(xí)效果。

這里要說明的是課文中Now Listen!欄目可以根據(jù)需要安排在不同的教

段,不必拘泥于它在課文中的位置。我們認為本課中的Now Listen放在Make a play(做游戲)之前好,因為聽力內(nèi)容基本上符合游戲要求。總之,雖然《牛》課文已為我們提供了各種形式的欄目,但老師還是可以根據(jù)實際情況調(diào)整欄目,努力達到最佳的教學(xué)效果。

五、《牛》的評價特點

1. 課堂教學(xué)的即時反饋

傳統(tǒng)的學(xué)習(xí)評價是通過考試反映學(xué)生的成績,以此了解他們的學(xué)習(xí)情況。這種方法是我們評價學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的主要手段。但小學(xué)《牛》為我們提供了一種思路,這就是時反饋學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)情況的目的,這種方法可讓老師在教學(xué)中及時了解教學(xué)得失,并可隨時做出調(diào)整,以適應(yīng)學(xué)生需要。這一情況體現(xiàn)在欄目的安排中,我們結(jié)合課文重點,在設(shè)置欄目時用

同形式,或是要求學(xué)生完成的語言練習(xí),或是

達到及時真實地反映學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)實要求學(xué)生進行筆頭練習(xí),甚至通過游戲或調(diào)查際情況。

以3A M3 U1 My school 為例,整篇課文分兩個板塊,一是課文學(xué)習(xí)板塊,內(nèi)容是有關(guān)學(xué)校的介紹,在學(xué)習(xí)了相關(guān)的句型和詞匯后,通過學(xué)生指圖,聽問句作回答的方 法,檢查學(xué)習(xí)

果。另一是復(fù)習(xí)板塊,為此課文安排了一個游戲活動,以此檢查學(xué)生掌握有關(guān)數(shù)詞和文具名稱的單詞的掌握情況,這種反饋形式簡單易行,又及時,淡化了考查形式,能真實反映學(xué)生的實際情況,因此,老師在教中應(yīng)該注意利用好教材中提供的評價方式。

2.課文結(jié)束后的自我評測

《牛》課本的結(jié)尾處有Student's self-assessment sheet(學(xué)生自我測評)。這一形式是在學(xué)生每課學(xué)習(xí)以后,對學(xué)習(xí)情況做一自我評估。這一形式強調(diào)的是“自我”目的是讓學(xué)生了解自己在本課中的學(xué)習(xí)情況,為下一步學(xué)習(xí)做準備。Self-assessment體現(xiàn)了學(xué)生的自主性,它是一種主要的“學(xué)習(xí)評價”,符合以學(xué)生為主體的教學(xué)理念。

3.怎樣完成“課題”

《牛》在課本后面安排了要

學(xué)生獨立完成的Project(課題)。“課題”是在學(xué)

擴展性內(nèi)容,把學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容生完成某一課學(xué)習(xí)之后,根據(jù)課文內(nèi)容,要求學(xué)生完擴展用到實踐中去,以檢查學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)能力和知識拓展能力,這也是一種學(xué)習(xí)評價形式。Project不是每課都有的,而是為有條件擴展課文設(shè)置的。例如學(xué)習(xí)了Insect(昆蟲)要求學(xué)生進一步了解不同昆蟲的顏色,生活的地方,它們的形態(tài),并從報刊雜志中收集有關(guān)圖片等等。這些內(nèi)容超出了學(xué)生的認知范圍,但學(xué)生可以借助圖書,電腦尋找有關(guān)資料,完成相關(guān)練,其目的就是培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)能

輔助作用,他們力,提出問題,解決問題的能力。在Project活動中,老師僅只是指導(dǎo)鼓勵學(xué)生,在必要時幫助學(xué)生。

《牛》多種形式的評價方法為教學(xué)反饋提供了即時信息,老師在結(jié)合傳統(tǒng)評價的基礎(chǔ)上,應(yīng)用好《牛》中的評價方法,它們結(jié)合在教學(xué)中,通過這些反饋及時調(diào)整教學(xué),并以此為根據(jù)為提高課堂效率提供新的思路。

六、《牛》對老師的要求

1.老師應(yīng)該是組織者和策劃者

由于《牛》課文形式和欄目安排的多種化,因此要用好用活這些教學(xué)材料,要求老師在教學(xué)中當好組

者和策劃者,真正貫徹老師為主導(dǎo),學(xué)生為主體的教學(xué)

這一教學(xué)效原則,使課堂教學(xué)處于師生雙向交流,互動共進的氣氛之中。要達果,老師首先要了解學(xué)生,根據(jù)學(xué)生的特點,充分利用《牛》提供的教學(xué)資源,安排好教學(xué)環(huán)節(jié),創(chuàng)設(shè)情景,提供給學(xué)生交流的平臺,激發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣,調(diào)動他們學(xué)習(xí)的積極性。例如低年級的學(xué)生要

用活動形式。但由于他們年齡小,自控能力差,因此在活動中老師要做好組織協(xié)調(diào)工作,努力讓活動有序進行,只有這樣才能達到預(yù)期的教學(xué)效果。又如進行“入門階段”學(xué)習(xí)的學(xué)生已有了自主學(xué)習(xí)能力,此時老師應(yīng)該組織他們在結(jié)對和小組活動中互相啟發(fā)互相發(fā)展,讓他們充分發(fā)揮自己的才能。

2.老師應(yīng)較強的語言能力

《牛》強調(diào)聽說領(lǐng)先,注重學(xué)生參與,為此老師應(yīng)該身體力行做好示范。首先在組織教學(xué)中盡量多講課堂用語,盡量用好用活各種問句,創(chuàng)造好語言環(huán)境,努力讓學(xué)生浸潤在英語學(xué)習(xí)環(huán)境中。課堂英語的使用也是一個循環(huán)積累的過程,只要老師堅持下去,到完全用英語組織教學(xué)并不是一件難事。其次在教學(xué)中除了課文中有限的語言要求外,老師應(yīng)盡可能地加大語言的輸入量,讓學(xué)生盡可能地接受英語,即使一時不能完全明白意思,但也可讓他們感受英語。
