Would you like some coffee?
We were wondering if you‘d like to come to dinner. How about coming to the movies tonight?
Why don‘t you come and eat with us?
Have a cup of tea.
Help yourself.
Come and see us next time you‘re in town.
Try some of this cake.
I‘d like to,but……
I wish I could,but ……
Thank you very much,but ……
It‘s very nice of you,but I’m afraid……
Thank you just
[all] the same 或 Thank you anyway.(盡管如此,我還是要謝謝你)。
Mr, Mrs, Miss, Ms
Mr.and Mrs.Roger Hayden
present their compliments to
Mr.and Mrs.Richard Hillman
and request the honor of
their company at dinner
on Saturday, the 8th July
at seven o’clock p.m.at 45 Walnut Street.45 Walnut Street

Mr.and Mrs.Robert Green
request the Pleasure of
Miss Mary Smith’s
company at a dance
at 9 o’clock p.m.on Friday, 15th JunePorter Street

To meet
Miss Millicent Gordon
Mrs.John Kindhart
Tues.Jan.7
Dancing at 9 o’clock.1350 Madison Avenue
順便說一句,有的請貼右下方印有 R.S.V.P.(請賜復)或Regrets only(如不光臨,請予回音)
Mr.and Mrs.Richard Roth
accept with pleasure
Mr.and Mrs.Johnson’s
kind invitation for dinner
on Monday, the 10th of December
at eight o’clock
Mr.and Mrs.Richard Roth
regret that they are unable to accept
the kind invitation of
Mr.and Mrs.Johnson
for Monday, the 10th of December
Would you like some coffee?
We were wondering if you’d like to come to dinner.
How about coming to the movies tonight?
Why don’t you come and eat with us?
Have a cup of tea.
Help yourself.
Come and see us next time you’re in town. Try some of this cake.
Have a cup of tea.
Have some tea. Have some tea, please.
Would you like a cup of tea, please?
I’d like to, but... I wish I could, but...要是我能去就好了,但是.....I’m sorry, but... Thank you very much, but... It’s very nice of you, but I’m afraid... Thank you just [all] the same.或 Thank you
Would [Will] you do me the honour of dancing with me? Would [Will] you do me the pleasure of dancing with me? Could [May] I have the honour of dancing with you? Could [May] I have the pleasure of dancing with you? Would [Will] you honour me with a dance?
Could [May] I have the honour of your company at dinner tonight?
Would [Will] you honour me by coming to the party tonight?
Would [Will] you come to our party, please? Would you like a cup of tea?

如何邀請別人要從你的邀請介紹開始,像是“Hello everyone!I would like to invite you to my special occasion. This is an extension of my warmth and devotion to all my friends. Please be advised that this special occasion will be fun and full of adventure.”(大家好!
Inviting Someone Over in English
How you can invite someone is to start off your invitation introduction with something like “Hello everyone!I would like to invite you to my special occasion. This is an extension of my warmth and
devotion to all my friends. Please be advised that this special occasion will be fun and full of adventure.”
Depending on the people you would like to invite, choose your vocabulary, invitation letter structure and part of speech appropriately. For instance, if you are inviting your girlfriends for some drinks after work, you can invite them with
colloquial language.“Hey girls, come over for some cocktails at my house, it is guaranteed to be fun and wild.”
However, if you are extending an invitation to an older audience such as professionals, you need to use formal language, and you need to be descriptive when it comes to your vocabulary.“Dear Sir and Madam, I cordially invite you to lunch at my house. The address is enclosed in the invitation. Please RSVP if you are bringing more then one person, Warm regards.”
English is a beautiful language and whichever manner you want to draft an invitation to someone, you will be able to suit people's language standards.Depending on the type of guests you're inviting, you can structure your invitation according to how formal it should be
