1.“by+交通工具名詞”表示交通方式。此時(shí)交通工具的名詞只能用原形,不能用復(fù)數(shù),也不能被冠詞或物主代詞等修飾。如:

My parents often go to work by bus.我父母常坐公共汽車去上班。

He comes here by taxi.他乘出租車來(lái)這兒的。

2.“by+交通路線的位置(地理名詞)”表示交通方式,表示“由……途徑”。如:by sea(從海路),by water(從水路),by air(由航空;乘飛機(jī)),by land(由陸路)等。如:

We are going to England by air.我們打算乘飛機(jī)去英國(guó)。

3.“in+交通工具名詞”表示交通方式。不過(guò)此時(shí)交通工具名詞前須用冠詞、名詞的所有格形式或形容詞性物主代詞等限定詞修飾。其用法與“by+交通工具名詞”相同。如:in the plane(taxi,car)=by plane(taxi,car)

4.用“on+限定詞+交通工具名詞”。也表示“乘;坐”之意,也相當(dāng)于“by+交通工具名詞”。不過(guò),on多用于開(kāi)放式或半封閉式交通工具,而上面同學(xué)所說(shuō)的in則多用于封閉式交通工具。試比較:

Don't come here on the ship(by ship).不要乘船來(lái)這里。

She goes to the station in a taxi.她乘出租車去車站。

5.“take a(the)+交通工具名詞”表示交通方式,表示“乘;坐”。如:take a bus(乘公共汽車),take a train(乘火車)等等。

6.“ride+限定詞+交通工具名詞”表示交通方式,意為“騎……”。如:ride a bike(騎自行車),ride a horse(騎馬)等。

而ride to表示“騎車(馬)去”,相當(dāng)于go to...by...。如:Lily rides a bike to her home.(=Lily goes home by bike.)莉莉騎車回家。

7.“fly to”表示“乘飛機(jī);飛往”,相當(dāng)于go to...by air/plane;“drive to”表示“驅(qū)車/開(kāi)車去”,相當(dāng)于go to...by bus/car/taxi等。

表示“步行去某地”可用“go to+某地+on foot”,也可用“walk to+某地”。如:We go to the cinema on foot.(=We walk to the cinema.)我們步行去看電影。

問(wèn)“職業(yè)”

在英語(yǔ)中,詢問(wèn)某人從事何種職業(yè)或干什么工作時(shí),常用以下句型:

形容詞比較等級(jí)構(gòu)成規(guī)則歌訣

比較級(jí)要變化,一般詞尾加-er。

最高級(jí)要牢記,詞尾要加-est。

一般情況直接加,下列幾條是特例。

詞尾有e省去e,nice-nicer-nicest就是例。

如遇“輔音字母+y”詞,變y為i再加-er,-est,easy-easier-easiest是一例。一輔重讀閉音節(jié),末尾字母先雙寫(xiě),再把-er,-est后邊接。
