英語學(xué)習(xí)，概括起來，只有四個字：下苦功夫。我這絕對不是隨便說說而已。我這幾年學(xué)習(xí)英語的體會，只有日積月累，才有可能實現(xiàn)質(zhì)的飛躍。

記得曾經(jīng)有一段時間，感到自己的英語水平提高的太慢，于是就放松了幾天。誰知等到再從新開始學(xué)習(xí)時，才明顯的感覺到自己退步了許多。從那以后，我就給自己制定了這樣一條座右銘：“拳不離手，曲不離口”，持之以恒。學(xué)好英語，我覺得興趣非常重要。正如愛因斯坦所說“興趣是最好的老師”。學(xué)習(xí)英語的興趣大大激發(fā)了我的求知欲。有人說，英語水平高是將來找到理想的工作甚至出國的資本。這固然不錯，但除此之外，我更覺得，英語是一扇窗口，他向我們展示的是一片廣闊的天地，一派新奇的景象。當(dāng)我能夠用英語同外國朋友交流，了解國外的社會、歷史、科學(xué)和文化，并取得第一手資料時，我才真正的領(lǐng)悟了掌握一種語言的妙處。

學(xué)好英語，一套科學(xué)的學(xué)習(xí)方法是必不可少的。由于個人實際情況不同，生搬硬套是行不通的。但我相信：只要仔細(xì)體會，逐漸摸索，人人都可以創(chuàng)造出一套有特色并且行之有效的學(xué)習(xí)方法。

在這里，我想同大家談?wù)勎以趯W(xué)習(xí)英語過程中的一些體會，以供參考。盡管在中學(xué)時我的英語基礎(chǔ)不錯，但剛跨入大學(xué)校門的時候，我還是深深地感到了自己的差距。要具備一定的聽、說、讀、寫能力，首先要掌握五千到八千詞匯。而作為一個高中畢業(yè)生，我當(dāng)時的詞匯量真是少得可憐。于是，我決定把迅速擴(kuò)大詞匯量作為主要突破口。有的同學(xué)喜歡背大部頭的詞匯手冊，而我覺得這樣做，既枯燥，又不利于靈活運用。我于是就把著眼點放到了閱讀上，詞匯與閱讀齊頭并進(jìn)，產(chǎn)生了事半功倍的效果。為了迅速擴(kuò)大詞匯量我從一開始就選擇一些當(dāng)時對我們來說難度偏大的閱讀材料。上千字的文章，通常會有二、三十個生詞。這些文章涉及的范圍很廣，包括了多個領(lǐng)域的詞匯。

我通常采取“兩遍閱讀法”，即第一遍著重訓(xùn)練閱讀能力，第二遍著重擴(kuò)大詞匯量并培養(yǎng)語感。閱讀初期我采用的是《成功英語閱讀》這套教材，首先從提高閱讀速度入手。集中精力閱讀一篇長度適中的文章，記下起止時間，并計算單位時間的閱讀量。在第一遍閱讀過程中，我將重點放在訓(xùn)練速度，掌握文章大意及基本結(jié)構(gòu)上，并找出問題，以便進(jìn)一步閱讀時著重解決。第二遍閱讀的重點有兩個：一是擴(kuò)大詞匯量。具體做法是：把文章再過一遍，查出生單詞，記到筆記本上，有時間就拿出來背。不要把背單詞看成是負(fù)擔(dān)，這是學(xué)起來很也會更隨意，對我來說，背單詞。每次背的時間不一定很長，貴在多次反復(fù)。了解詞的確切含義及使用的語言環(huán)境和釋意最為重要。隨著閱讀量的增加，我的詞匯量也就突飛猛進(jìn)了。

第二遍閱讀的第二個重點在于培養(yǎng)語感。仔細(xì)地體會精彩的語言，留意詞的使用以及搭配，對某些段落我常出聲朗讀，甚至背誦下來。這樣做，有利于加強(qiáng)語感；為寫作打基礎(chǔ)。通過這種兩遍閱讀法，所讀內(nèi)容在我頭腦中留下的印象一般都很深刻，而且也提高了閱讀材料的利用率。我十分重視閱讀材料的選擇。不單從興趣出發(fā)，相反，有意識地讀一些自己不甚了解、甚至不大感興趣的科普、歷史、哲學(xué)等方面的文章。另外，針對不同的訓(xùn)練目的，我還選取了內(nèi)容難度不同的閱讀材料。

例如，進(jìn)行快速閱讀時，可以選擇生詞量較小、篇幅較短的文章；而重點在擴(kuò)大詞匯量、拓寬視野的閱讀訓(xùn)練，就選擇英美報刊雜志。此外，我還注重循序漸進(jìn)，根據(jù)不同階段自己英語水平的變化選擇相應(yīng)的閱讀材料。在聽、說、讀、寫四個方面，我從“讀”中受益無窮。通過有意識的大量閱讀、一方面擴(kuò)大了詞匯量，另一方面培養(yǎng)了語感。而這兩方面我認(rèn)為是掌握一種語言的兩大支柱。至于聽、說、寫三個環(huán)節(jié)，我其實并沒有經(jīng)過什么特殊的訓(xùn)練。讀的東西多了，詞匯量足夠大，語感足夠強(qiáng)，只要多加練習(xí)，這三方面的能力也就自然而然的提高了。
