PS的主體部分應該是鏗鏘有力的“金剛身”，有邏輯，有說服力，詳略得當，重點突出。當你的PS開了一個好頭，吸引人看下去的時候，就是主體部分起作用的時候，讀者要通過PS的主體部分來進一步了解你是什么樣的人，你具備哪些品質和能力等。主體部分通常包括個人經歷、教育背景、工作經歷、科研經歷等，具體寫什么內容，突出哪些部分要依個人情況來定。在寫這些經歷是，不要平鋪直敘，僅僅羅列出你有過什么經歷，你的角色和你具體做了什么，更重要的是要展現出你從這些事件或經歷中學到了什么，這些經歷對你的申請起到什么作用，如何去看待和評價這種經歷。

需要有一個“鳳尾”。龍頭鳳尾，首尾呼應，才算是一篇優秀的PS。PS的結尾應該是一個起到一個總結陳詞的作用，呼應全文主題，讓文章的主題更加鮮明。提醒大家要注意，PS的結尾要避免簡單復述文章內容，應簡潔明了，不要過分啰嗦，要有說服力，起到畫龍點睛的作用。
