第十四屆“21世紀(jì)·聯(lián)想杯”全國英語演講比賽總決賽4月10日在上海圓滿落幕。

總決賽中，60名來自中國大陸和港澳臺地區(qū)的選手，分別圍繞“From College to Career: Coping with Job-hunting Pressure in the Economic Slowdown（面對“經(jīng)濟(jì)危機(jī)”下的大學(xué)生就業(yè)問題）”和“Our Changing Way of Living with the Times: Initiative vs.Convenience（從時代的發(fā)展看人類生活方式的改變：主動性和便利性）”這兩個主題發(fā)表了演講。最終，來自清華大學(xué)的金璐，遼寧大學(xué)的蘇寧馨，北京語言大學(xué)的陳藝分獲冠、亞、季軍。

金璐同學(xué)的演講稿最大的亮點(diǎn)是巧妙地找到了“telecommunications”和“telepathy”這一對同以“tele”為前綴，但卻表達(dá)了兩個截然相反的人與人之間的相處模式：far away和close touch by heart。

If I was given the chance to make my magic wish now, I wish we could go back in time and live three days without advanced technology, I wonder what we will do in these three days, and here is what I imagined:

When I was a kid, milk wasn’t for sale everywhere.For the families who need it, they depended on the milkmen to take it from the local dairy farms to their houses.In our neighborhood, there was such a milkman, whose arrival was much anticipated by the children and always brought us laughter and joy.He knew the name of every kid and could easily see through our tricks.If we didn’t behave, he would side with our parents and threaten to rob us of the nutritious drink.The entire neighborhood was acquainted with him;saw him as a member of the community just like the many residents or street vendors.There was a bond between all of us for it was not only the commodities that been transacted, but also a sense of caring and dependability.And that small box fixed onto our door, other than being a drop-off point for milk;it was a communication junction between the people as we took the initiative to reach out to others.Fast forward to today, milk is ubiquitous with no dedicated delivery system.But the convenience level of our live has gone up a notch.Almost everything is for sale online, which spares us all the travelling and talking.With a few ready clicks, shopping is done.The rest is left for those speed delivery companies.Usually it’s a grumpy mailman, who reaches us through cell phone, urging everyone to pick up their parcels as soon as possible.And the minute the receipt is signed, we rush back to unpack while the courier dashes to the next destination.There is barely a conversation carried out, nor do we feel the need to talk to such a stranger, who changes from time to time frequently.It seems that people are always in a hurry now, though we have more conveniences, still we run short of time to stop and stare, to speak and share.陳藝同學(xué)的稿子最大的亮點(diǎn)是對比和取典型的運(yùn)用。作者對比“old-timer”和“new-timer”生活中兩個極富代表性的形象：Milkman和Mailman.Milkman代表的是一種過去人與人之間固定、頻繁、親密的交流方式，而Mailman則代表人們在“快餐生活”時代過分追求高效導(dǎo)致的冷漠、疏遠(yuǎn)的人際關(guān)系。

第三篇：“世紀(jì)金榜杯”青春文學(xué)征文啟動

由山東省委宣傳部、山東省教育廳、山東省作家協(xié)會聯(lián)合舉辦,山東文學(xué)、時代文學(xué)、大眾日報、齊魯晚報、大眾網(wǎng)、泰山出版社承辦的“世紀(jì)金榜杯”青春文學(xué)征文活動正式啟動。征文體裁包括小說、詩歌、散文、報告文學(xué),征集時間為2012年5月4日至10月31日。活動將向獲獎作者頒發(fā)獎金和獲獎證書。

此次征文活動旨在引導(dǎo)文學(xué)愛好者樹立青春文學(xué)樂觀、陽光的心態(tài)和積極向上的主流價值觀念與文學(xué)觀念。參加征文的作品必須是山東省在校高中、大學(xué)學(xué)生(包括研究生與應(yīng)屆畢業(yè)生)原創(chuàng)的、未在任何正式媒體發(fā)表或出版過的文學(xué)作品。作品要求內(nèi)容積極向上,充分展示當(dāng)代中學(xué)生和大學(xué)生的精神面貌。

征文體裁包括長篇小說、中篇小說、短篇小說、小小說、詩歌、散文、報告文學(xué)。篇幅要求:長篇小說每部12-25萬字；中篇小說每部3-5萬字；短篇小說、散文、報告文學(xué)每篇不超過1萬字；小小說每篇1500字左右；詩歌每首在10行以上。

征文按照不同體裁分設(shè)獎項(xiàng)。其中長篇小說:一等獎1名,二等獎2名,三等獎3名；中篇小說:一等獎2名,二等獎4名,三等獎6名；短篇小說:一等獎5名,二等獎10名,三等獎20名；小小說:一等獎5名,二等獎10名,三等獎20名；詩歌:一等獎10名,二等獎20名,三等獎30名；散文:一等獎10名,二等獎20名,三等獎30名；報告文學(xué):一等獎10名,二等獎20名,三等獎30名。另設(shè)入圍獎若干項(xiàng)。

書信大賽方案

為深入貫徹落實(shí)十七大提出的弘揚(yáng)中華文化、建設(shè)中華民族共有精神家園的戰(zhàn)略任務(wù)，結(jié)合《國家中長期教育改革和發(fā)展規(guī)劃綱要（2010—2020年）》對語言文字工作提出的要求：在教育教學(xué)活動中推廣普及國家通用語言文字，提高國家通用語言文字應(yīng)用水平，加強(qiáng)中華優(yōu)秀文化傳統(tǒng)和革命傳統(tǒng)教育；注重提高學(xué)生語言文字應(yīng)用能力，提高語言文化素質(zhì)，傳承和弘揚(yáng)中華優(yōu)秀文化傳統(tǒng)和革命傳統(tǒng)，語言文字報刊社擬舉辦“世紀(jì)金榜杯”全國校園文化系列活動之書信大賽。

一、大賽主題

本次書信比賽的主題是“學(xué)會感恩”。自古中華民族就有樂于助人、知恩圖報的優(yōu)良傳統(tǒng)。如今很多孩子覺得父母、老師、朋友、同學(xué)對自己的關(guān)心、幫助是理所當(dāng)然的，有的甚至產(chǎn)生反感，更談不上感激，而部分成年人也存在這種心理。在文明社會，懷有一顆感恩之心是一種陽光心態(tài)，是一種成熟和責(zé)任，是傳統(tǒng)文化中積極的人生精神境界，更是現(xiàn)代和諧社會公民的必備素質(zhì)。本次比賽旨在借助書信這一形式，引導(dǎo)大家換位思考，懂得感恩、學(xué)會感恩，同時倡導(dǎo)文明、規(guī)范使用語言文字，以弘揚(yáng)中華優(yōu)秀文化傳統(tǒng)，進(jìn)而為構(gòu)建和諧社會，建設(shè)中華民族共有精神家園，提高國家文化軟實(shí)力做出貢獻(xiàn)。

二、組織單位

此次活動由教育部語言文字應(yīng)用管理司擔(dān)任指導(dǎo)單位，國家語委語言文字報刊社主辦，世紀(jì)金榜教育研究院承辦，語言文字報社協(xié)辦。

三、比賽范圍和辦法

1.本次活動面向全國各級各類學(xué)校的學(xué)生、教師，同時也歡迎其他關(guān)心社會語文生活的人士參加。

2.按照參與對象，分為小學(xué)組、初中組、高中組、中職組、大學(xué)組、教師組和社會組7個組別。

3.本次活動分為初賽和決賽兩個階段。初賽以省級行政區(qū)劃為基本評比單位，從中評出一、二、三等獎和決賽入圍者；大賽組委會組織決賽入圍者舉行決賽，從中評選出特等獎。決賽的時間、地點(diǎn)、內(nèi)容和形式另行通知。

四、比賽要求

1.書信內(nèi)容須符合本次比賽主題，符合書信的文體要求。2.書信須感情真摯，內(nèi)容具體充實(shí)。忌假話、空話、套話、廢話，須為原創(chuàng)作品，不得抄襲。

3.各參賽組別字?jǐn)?shù)要求：小學(xué)組400—600字，其他組600—1000字。

4.若為手寫稿，參賽者須將參賽作品郵寄至大賽組委會辦公室；若為電子稿，則須按大賽組委會網(wǎng)站指定的路徑上傳。

五、時間安排

1.作品征集時間：2011年11月6日——2012年4月30日。

2.專家評審時間：2012年5月1日——2012年6月30日。

3.主辦方將擇時舉辦決賽及本次大賽總結(jié)大會，有關(guān)具體事項(xiàng)另行通知。

六、評選辦法及獎項(xiàng)設(shè)置

1.主辦單位委托承辦單位對所征集的書信作品進(jìn)行評審。評審要素包括思想內(nèi)容、表達(dá)水平及語言規(guī)范等方面。

2.根據(jù)參賽作品質(zhì)量，各省級評比單位按參賽人數(shù)評出各項(xiàng)獎項(xiàng)：一等獎１０％，二等獎１５％，三等獎２５％，每組評選出特等獎10名。針對集體參賽情況，為各參賽單位設(shè)置不同的獎項(xiàng)。

3.所有獲獎?wù)吆瞳@獎單位均獲得由主辦單位頒發(fā)的證書一份。

七、其他事項(xiàng)

1.大賽組委會對全部參賽作品具有收藏、發(fā)表、出版、宣傳等處置權(quán)，以及網(wǎng)絡(luò)發(fā)表權(quán)和其他出版權(quán)；如因作者抄襲帶來版權(quán)糾紛，由作者本人負(fù)全責(zé)；參賽者享有作品署名權(quán)。凡此次活動的參賽者，均視為已確認(rèn)并遵守上述各項(xiàng)規(guī)定。

2.參看活動詳情請登陸大賽官方網(wǎng)站：www.tmdps.cn)下載“集體參賽報名表”,填好之后與作品一起以打包文件的形式按網(wǎng)站提供的引導(dǎo)方式上傳；個人參賽的按網(wǎng)站提供的引導(dǎo)方式上傳。

（二）紙質(zhì)稿件

參賽作品需用作文稿紙謄寫，要求書寫工整規(guī)范。以學(xué)校或班級為單位集體參賽的須從大賽官方網(wǎng)站（www.tmdps.cn)下載“集體參賽報名表”，填好之后與作品一起郵寄至大賽組委會辦公室；個人參賽的自行郵寄。

六、專家評審

大賽組委會將聘請全國知名語言文字專家、學(xué)者、教授、教研員和一線特高級教師組成專家評審團(tuán)隊(duì)，制定評審細(xì)則，對參賽作品進(jìn)行分組評審。

七、獎項(xiàng)設(shè)置

（一）獎項(xiàng)類別 1.參賽個人獎

分為小學(xué)組、初中組、高中組、中職組、大學(xué)組、教師組和社會組，獲獎比例設(shè)置如下：

（1）特等獎：以省、自治區(qū)、直轄市、新疆生產(chǎn)建設(shè)兵團(tuán)為單位，每組選出10名決賽入圍者參加決賽。決賽勝出者為特等獎獲得者，其他為一等獎獲得者。

（2）一等獎：獲獎比例為參賽人數(shù)的10%。（3）二等獎：獲獎比例為參賽人數(shù)的15%。（4）三等獎：獲獎比例為參賽人數(shù)的25%。2.組織單位獎（1）獎項(xiàng)設(shè)置

①全國校園文化系列活動優(yōu)秀單位獎 獲獎條件：

校園文化建設(shè)突出，有一定影響力；對本次活動組織到位，廣泛調(diào)動了師生參與積極性；有詳盡的校園文化建設(shè)材料，并獲得大賽評審專家組通過。

③全國校園文化系列活動優(yōu)秀示范單位 獲獎條件：

校園文化建設(shè)突出，有一定的示范作用；在本次活動評比中獲獎比例較高；有詳盡的校園文化建設(shè)材料，并獲得大賽評審專家組通過。

對符合以上獲獎條件的學(xué)校或校長，頒發(fā)相應(yīng)獎牌或證書，并在大賽官方網(wǎng)站和語言文字報上擇優(yōu)進(jìn)行相關(guān)報道。

申請以上獎項(xiàng)的學(xué)校或校長須提供以下材料： ①學(xué)校概況介紹材料（發(fā)展歷史、所獲榮譽(yù)等）②學(xué)校校園文化建設(shè)材料（視頻、圖片、文字）③校長個人介紹材料（簡介、事跡、榮譽(yù)等）

八、特別說明

本次活動不向參賽者收取報名費(fèi)、材料費(fèi)、評審費(fèi)。大賽組委會對全部參賽作品具有收藏、發(fā)表、出版、宣傳等處置權(quán)，以及網(wǎng)絡(luò)發(fā)表權(quán)和其他出版權(quán)；如因作者抄襲帶來版權(quán)糾紛，由作者本人負(fù)全責(zé)；參賽者享有作品署名權(quán)。凡參加此次活動，均視為已確認(rèn)并遵守上述各項(xiàng)規(guī)定。

Both diversity and integration Ladies and gentlemen, It’s my honor to share my ideas about culture development.Cultural development seems like a huge problem that only anthropologists or government officials can handle.The two cultural developing status “diversity” and “integration” seems contradict to each other.However, I’ll say that culture is a river which moves in both diverged way and confluent way.The riverbed of place can shape the river of culture.With the different geographical status, a river will have its branches and so do the river of culture.Since the river branches are exposed to various rocks and sands, the water differs a lot.A drop of water called music would tend to be fast in this branch while slow in another.Even Chinese poetry would be grandeur in the north while subtle in the south simultaneously.Ones living near a branch can hardly taste the invisible water of cultural phenomena only if they visit another riverbank can they tell the differences.Just as the water condition of an area will give the local some physical characters, the water of culture can also give us different psychological and spiritual characters respectively.It’s not hard for us to figure out the culture diversity by places.Moreover the riverbed of time would also be a typical factor to form the river of culture.Along the flying time, a river may flow into a brook with instantly-changed width and depth.The rivulet of Chinese characters streamed from the original complex form into simplified characters.As we all know, a watershed might tear one river into 2 or more.The certain event can also serve as a watershed, be it the Enlightenment when different schools of thought coexisted.Sometimes a river pours down to meet other rivers which can be interpreted as an integration of culture.The increased dwellers of the riverbanks would be the fans of the new trend.In order to maintain the river’s coursing in long term and in high quality, both of the ways are necessary and can’t be overused.If one branch runs in a dry place with little rain and severe sunlight, what’s worse, the dwellers don’t use it sustainably, this branch may be cutoff if nothing done.It’s common to see that some of the cultural heritage loses its successors.We need to have the endangered flow combined with others.We could see that the paper-cut or embroidery survived by some moderations of modern forms.However, the new river won’t be as pure as before.Once the purity of one culture can’t reach a certain level, its original fans will be reluctant to drink it because it’s too mix-up to be acceptable.Shouldering the mission to maintain the flow of culture, we should adopt both cultural preservation and updating but neither too much division nor too much compounding.Thus the river of culture can moisten people’s drily land of spiritual world and clean the exhausted or increasing materialized hearts.
