高考英語口試的目標是測試考生的語言口頭表達能力,其中包括朗讀能力、會話能力、描述能力和表達思想的能力。高考英語口試由五大題組成:
(1)朗讀 10%
(2)快速應答 10%
(3)情景提問 20%
(4)談話 30%
(5)看圖說話 30%朗讀
測試學生的語音基礎、意群停頓、語氣轉換、自然流暢的連讀、失爆等朗讀技巧。
你可能認為30秒鐘讀完這篇文章是不可能的,因此你就會加快速度,搶時間,將文章讀完。其實,這是錯誤的判斷。你應該按正常的速度朗讀,按規定的朗讀要求讀短文。
短文朗讀考查要求如下:
(1)語音的基礎問題。如果對英語國際音標中下列4個元音的發音掌握得較好,則其他元音音素的掌握也不會有大問題。這4個元音是/i:/, /i/, /e/, /ae/。
(2)意群和停頓。句子可按照意思和結構分為若干段,每段稱為一個意群,英語中稱為sense group。每個意群有其特殊的意義。在朗讀每篇短文前,你應找準意群。這樣你可以在說話和朗讀時,意群和意群之間可稍作一定的停頓,也可以在此處換氣,使意思表達更為清楚。你還須注意在同一意群中各個單詞之間應一口氣念完而不可停頓。意群和意群之間根據需要而停頓,也不是非停頓不可。
朗讀樣題:
A four-year-old girl/is lying/in the arms of a doctor.//She has just become motherless.//Her pink clothes are bloodied/and her eyes stare at something/only she can see.//She has suffered from a bombing/near her home/in southern Iraq.(3)語調,主要有升調與降調兩種。升調一般用于句首狀語和一般疑問句,在一個完整句子中各并列成分在最后一個并列成分前者應用升調。如:I have three English books↗,two Chinese dictionaries↗and five pens↘.降調用在陳述句句尾和特殊疑問句中,尤其應注意的是一般疑問句的回答。如:Do you have a map in your hand↗?該疑問句的肯定回答:Yes↘,Ido↘.這里的Yes,必須是降調,Ido也必須是降調。
(4)連讀與失爆。連讀較易掌握。在一個意群中,將前一個單詞最后的輔音與后一個單詞開頭的元音連在一起讀。而失爆是朗讀中較難掌握的一種技巧。當相鄰兩個爆破音在一起時,往往給前面一個爆破音留一個位置,但不爆破,稍停隨即發后面的爆破音。快速應答
主要測試考生對功能性語言的掌握。
首先學生應搞清這題不是回答問題,而是對你所聽到的句子作恰當的反應。這部分的難點是沒有情景提示,考生必須在聽到句子后的瞬間判斷這句子應在什么情景下使用,其前后呼應的句子應該是什么。然后,再確定一個正確的應答句。
如你聽到的句子為:“How are you going to station?”你會想到這是兩人相遇時,一人要去火車站,另一人想
知道對方去火車站的方式。你的應答句應是:“I am going to station by bus/by taxi/on foot?”
在聽到考題時,應搞清這個句子的類型:是一般疑問句,還是特殊疑問句;是陳述句,還是祈使句。對特殊疑問句應抓住:第一個詞——疑問詞,這決定了你的應答句的內容。第二個詞——助動詞,它決定了你的應答句的時態或語態。當然,其他的詞也起了不同的作用,但相比之下,這兩個詞所提供的信息尤為重要。如上述例句:“How are you going to station?”第一個詞how告訴了你應答句的內容有關“方式”——去車站的方式。第二個詞“are you going to”告訴了你的應答句應用be going to作動詞謂語。情景提問
主要測試考生對所給情景中不同信息進行提問的能力。
Ask 2 questions about each situation given below, at least one special question.既然題目中給你情景,必須從所給的情景中搞清幾個要素:這個情景的主角是誰,談話的對象是誰,該情景發生的時間、地點及內容等信息。在英語中也就是when, where, what's happening, whom are you talking to??
考生從屏幕上看到和耳機里聽到的情景:
例:Something is wrong with your mobile phone.You go to the shop to have it repaired.分析:This is a very typical situation happened in a repairing tore.結論:The possible 2 questions will be:
(1)How much shall I pay for the repairing?
(2)Shall I come back to pick it up tomorrow?
注意:(1)考生所提的兩個問題其中一個必須是特殊疑問句。
(2)如果考生所提出的兩個問題的答案是同一個內容,則其中一個問題不得分。談話
根據以往口試情況,考生在屏幕上看到題目的同時還會看到與其配套的錄像,這是為了給考生提供更多的信息。考生可以根據情況采用與否。這部分考核的內容實際上就是一篇口頭小作文——oral composition。既然它被稱為Composition,就必須按段落寫作的要求來準備。
(1)從structure來考慮,文章必須要有beginning, body and conclusion。在beginning里要開門見山地提出該短文的topic sentence.在topic sentence中必須含有關鍵詞。有了關鍵詞后,則在body部分可以根據關鍵詞寫出support details。這是全部短文的重點,而且篇幅在全文中比例最大。如果全文只有10個句子,那么,這部分應有7~8句。最后一部分是conclusion,在結尾部分中你應再次重申你的觀點,但不能將主題句作簡單的重復。第二個要講明的是:短文必須有內容。
如題目為An unforgettable after Class Activity的短文,那就應該描述一個具體的活動。使評卷老師聽到你講的短文后,感覺到你參加的活動確實吸引人,令人難忘。不能靠堆積許多形容詞,而沒有一個具體的情節來證實你講的活動讓人難忘,這個topic學生寫得最多的內容是下鄉、學軍、學農等。如果在你的短文敘述中有這樣有情節、有內容的材料,你的得分就不會低。看圖說話
這部分有4幅內容連貫的圖片,它有一個主題,也有情節,并提供一個開始句。這個題型考查學生是否能用英語按所給的情景來描述這4幅圖片。學生應做到的是內容切題,語言連貫,層次分明,用詞得當,句子結構正確,語音語調準確、自然、流暢。字數在120~150字左右。
拿到圖片后,應看清圖片中的各種提示:除人物外,其他背景資料都應看清楚。往往除了人物外,圖片還提供了故事發生的時間、地點等資料。圖片下的開始句向學生提供了時態與故事的背景。需要注意的是:
(1)如果開始句為一般現在時,圖片的敘述也應以現在時為主;如果開始句為現在進行時,則圖片以現在進行時與一般現在時為主。
(2)如開始句以第一人稱描述,則圖片的敘述應用第一人稱,如果開始句中提供一個名字(第三人稱),你對圖片的敘述也應用第三人稱。
(3)搞清圖片的內在關系,并且找出這一套圖片的內含主題。
(4)如果發生在圖片上某一內容的詞不掌握的情況,可以采取間接表達法。也就是通過另外一兩個句子來表達與該句相近的意思,這方法僅供你在找不到一個適當的詞時才使用。英語的口語應力求簡單明了,不要用過長的句子,如主從復合句等書面用語。

口試

PETS3級口試部分主要考察考生用英語進行口頭交際的能力,要求考生能夠就生活和工作中的情景進行對話,不僅能夠詢問事實,還能詢問抽象的信息;能夠提供或者要求得到更清楚地闡述;表達個人意見、觀點和態度。此外,還能夠描述一個事件,或者就一般性話題
作簡短演講。
考生應具備:基本連貫的進行論述;保持語言的流暢;積極地交流,并能用適當的補救
措施解決交流的困難。
以下是本次口試考試過程中出現的一些問題:
1.過于緊張;聽不懂口試官(interlocutor)的問題。
2.對口試的整個題型不熟悉。
比如Part B是兩個考生對一幅圖進行討論,很多考生拿到圖片即使聽到interlocutor的說明,也不知道怎么說。還有的考生主顧自己夸夸其談并沒有和搭檔互動交際,所以這樣的考生盡管自己覺得說得很好,但在互動交際這部分就不會得很高的分數。
3.有的考生口語還可以但是卻遇到了一個口語不好的搭檔。其實,這并不影響好的一方,考官評分的標準有四項:語法和詞匯;話語運用;語音語調;互動交際。只要考生正常
發揮就可以了。
4.時間控制不好。
Pets3級三個部分共10分鐘Part A3分鐘,Part B 3分鐘,Part C 4分鐘。Part A考生基本答題情況還好,問題出現在Part B 兩個人一共3分鐘,平均每人只有一分半。以這次考試為例,讓你從四件物品中,選一件推薦給你即將離開的外國朋友。那么兩個考生可以把你認為好的物品選出來,然后討論一下為什么就可以了。有的考生并沒有直接切題,而是說了一些和題目沒有關系的話,結果說到正題的時候時間也到了。考生切忌不認真審題,廢話連篇!Part C 也會有這樣的問題,Candidate A說完以后,Candidate B有半分鐘的補充,只是補充!有的考生長篇大論,結果沒說完時間到了,被考官打斷了,還沒反應過來,接下來又是自己描述評論圖片,很影響考生發揮!所以,參加口試的考生一定
要注意時間以及語言上的把握!
5.語言知識及運用能力欠缺,這也是我們考生最應該解決的問題。
我們都知道練習口語不是一朝一夕的事情,所以這里給向參加口試的考生一些建議:
1.樹立自信心,克服緊張心理
2.打好口語語言基礎。平時多讀;多模仿,包括語音、語調以及弱讀、連讀、重讀、節奏等技巧。
3.加強語言運用能力的培養。平時多參加英語角,英語演講等活動。語言是一個習得的過程,只有通過大量的實戰操練,才能講得一口流利的英語。
4.加強互動交際能力的訓練。語言是人與人交流溝通的工具,除了要表達自己的觀點
還要從別人那里的得到信息。
5.積累口語表達的常用語。這一點很重要,看到好句子要馬上記下來,以免出現口試
中考生滿嘴的Chinglish的現在。
