通過寫周記提高中學生的英語寫作能力

在目前的英語教學中, 英語寫作是學生相對薄弱的一個環節, 而且很多學生懼怕寫作。學生在英語寫作中主要存在無話可寫、用漢語思維方式寫作、語法錯誤百出等問題。本人認為此種現象出現的主要原因是：中學英語教學嚴重忽視寫作訓練。為了提高學生的英語寫作水平，我覺得讓學生寫英語周記是很有效的方法。

高中學生已有一定的基礎知識，這時完全可以讓學生自己寫點東西，培養學生的寫作能力。學生通過寫周記，可以復習舊知識；通過老師批改周記，學生訂正錯誤，無疑學生在語法方面會有很大的進步。學生寫周記的過程中，必然會遇到生詞、生句，學生就會問同學、問老師、“問”詞典。學生對自己所想要表達的單詞、句子印象會特別深，日積月累，學生的詞匯量就大大增加了。學生寫周記----教師批改周記----學生看批語過程是師生間進行思想和情感交流的過程，周記里學生會告訴老師他的喜悅、他的煩惱，這樣師生間的距離拉近了，感情加深了，學生對老師有了深厚的感情，自然就樂于學英語。

根據我的做法，我覺得要讓學生寫好周記，作為老師，應該注意以下幾點：

一、讓學生養成用英文寫周記的習慣。

寫作難首先難在無話可說，“問渠哪得清如許，為有源頭活水來”。教師應該鼓勵學生積極地去感悟生活，用心體驗和感悟身邊的人和事，然后將體驗和感受用英語表達出來。寫周記貴在堅持，要養成習慣，切忌三天打魚兩天曬網。開頭可能會很艱難，教師應該要求學生用周末的空閑來完成一篇英語作文，內容可以不限，題材不限。有的學生實在不會寫，可以讓他們去抄一篇自己認為比較好的范文，學習別人如何寫作。同時教師可以放低要求，只要學生用心去寫了，就給與肯定，最大限度的調動學生的積極性，只要學生堅持下去，就會慢慢“上手”，感覺越來越容易，興趣就會越來越高，效果也就越來越明顯。

二、通過供給語言材料，幫學生掃除障礙

學生寫周記的內容大都離不開學校內外的一些活動，但往往因為詞匯量不足，表達時不能得心應手。這時需要老師做個有心人，及時補充他們可能用到的詞。比如：舉辦

運動會，參觀名勝古跡，紀念五四運動，慶祝國慶，迎元旦，看電影，看展覽及一些重大的國際國內活動等常用的詞匯。這樣學生寫起來就順手了，更能表達他們的“要講之言”。

三、從基本句型訓練入手，指導學生造出規范性句子

剛進入高中的學生，英語書面表達能力一般較差，所以剛開始寫英文周記，大部分學生不是滿篇的Chinese English，就是詞匯的隨意湊合。為了克服這一毛病，要從抓基本句型訓練入手，指導學生進行造句訓練。英語的基本句型有五種:1.S+V。2.S+V+C。

3.S+V+O。4.S+V+O+O。5.S+V+O+C。幾乎所有的英語句型都是在這五種基本句型基礎上擴大、延伸和變化。我要求學生每次在寫周記之前，先就自己要寫的內容，用五種基本句型組合句子，寫成大意，再組成短文。如記一次大掃除，可以先造出如下句子:

1． It was the fourth Friday of this month.(S+V+C)

2． We cleaned our classroom.(S+V+O)

3． Some students moved the desks and chairs.(S+V+O)

4． Others mopped the floor.(S+V+O)

5． Our monitor and I cleaned the windows.(S+V+O)

6． We worked two hours.(S+V)

8． We gave our classroom a thorough cleaning.(S+V+O+O)

9． We saw the classroom bright and clean.(S+V+O+C)

10． We were happy.(S+V+C)

在此基礎上，再加上適當的過渡詞或連詞，就可以連接成為一篇基本合乎文法要求的英文周記了。

在加強基本句型訓練的同時，還要指導學生注意英文遣詞造句的規律和習慣。如寫“梅州發生了巨大的變化”，一般不說“Meizhou has happened great changes.“而應說:”Great changes have taken place in Meizhou.” 教師對這些問題要給學生多做分析，歸納對比。

四、用寫短評的形式來提高學生的英文寫作能力。

由于學生生活相對單調，學生寫了一段周記之后，部分學生又會覺得無事可記，沒有話可說。此時老師可以給學生提供一些與時事或日常生活相關的材料，讓無事可記的學生去寫出簡短的評論，此類話題具有很強的現實性，能誘發學生的寫作興趣，使他們

有話可寫、有感而發。寫短評不僅有效解決了“無話可寫”的問題，還能增強學生們的信心，使他們的寫作能力和技巧得到充分的鍛煉和提高。

高中英語新教材中有很多與現實生活貼近的話題，教師可以就這些話題讓學生用短評的形式在作文中寫下自己的看法。如在學習高一必修（3）Health eating 這一單元時，筆者讓學生以“My view on health eating”為題寫短評。學生們各抒己見，寫出了不少有見地的文章來。

除了教材中的話題外，教師還可以從廣播、電視、報紙等媒體上尋找熱點話題或時事，讓學生寫下自己的意見。這樣一來，平時兩耳不聞窗外事的學生有了接觸現實的機會，拓寬了他們的視野和知識面，提高了寫作技能，也培養了他們的思維能力和判斷能力。

五、批改周記要有針對性

雖然批改一篇周記要花很多時間，但是作為教師還是要堅持認真批改每一本，針對每個同學的具體情況提出不同的要求：

對于基礎較差的學生，要求他們基本做到用詞得當，句子結構正確，語法規范，沒有拼寫錯誤等等。這樣適當放寬要求，有利于基礎較差的學生克服畏難心理。同時還要不失時機地加上鼓勵性評語，使學生增強信心。例如，一位學生在一篇周記上只寫了: Yesterday I played basketball.I and my classmates played very well.We had a good time yesterday.我在糾正其中的錯誤之后，給了他這樣的評語: Your weekly journal is not bad,并表示: I am glad that you had a happy day.接著提出問題:

Please answer my following questions:

What day was yesterday ?

Did you have any classes at school ?

What time did you go to play basketball ?

Who did you play with

How did you play?

Were they glad to play with you ?

學生顯然受到鼓勵,周記發下后立即根據我的提問回答:

It was Saturday yesterday.We had no classes at school?We had a lot of fun in our weekend.回答完之后,學生高興地發現自己居然寫成一篇稍為像樣的短文了。

對于程度較好的學生，我則要求他們在遣詞造句符合英語習慣、語言通暢，并提出更高要求。如：“Your work is well done, But it will be better if you keep it clean and tidy / pay attention to your spelling.”“It’s good to be correct.But it’s good to be correct.But it’s also important to use your own words and try to think in English.”

對中等生的作業, 教師應多一點督促.如:“I’m sorry you have made the mistake again, Don’t so careless.”“Are you working hard these days?”同時評語還應涉及學生學習和生活的方方面面,表達形式多樣化,可以是詞匯、句子，也可以是三言兩語的描述和隨感、提問。如：“What a good idea!”“Don’t you think you are not listening carefully enough in class recently?”“If you read more you can understand better.”有時也可以寫上一句諺語,如：“No pains no gains.”“Where there is a will there is a way.”這些話語都能很好地鼓勵學生, 從而增強學生的自信心,進而提高學生的學習興趣,使學生由被動的“要我學”轉變為主要的“我要學”, 同時也能提高他們的寫作能力。

六、采用靈活多變的方法進行批改

批改是促進學生能力發展的重要環節?？梢圆捎萌缦路椒?

1．教師當面批改與課堂講評相結合。對語言錯誤較多的學生，教師可當面批改。對于學生在周記中提到的學習和生活中的問題，也可以找學生當面溝通，幫助他們解決問題。對普遍性毛病，則及時在課堂上講評，并讓學生糾正

2．學生自改。有些毛病只要稍加提示，學生就可以自行改正。這些就讓給學生自改。如一周記中出現若干時態方面的錯誤，我便給予提示:There are some mistakes about the English tenses.Find them out and correct them.或者在錯誤的地方劃上紅線，加個問號。由于這些問題難度不大，一經提示，學生便能給予正確的修改。

3．表揚鼓勵。每次選擇2至3篇寫得較好的周記在班上評講，起到表揚鼓勵，激發寫英文周記的積極性的作用。

25(93)Sleep Sleep is a part of a person’s daily activity cycle.There are several different stages of sleep, and they too occur in cycles.If you are an average sleeper, your sleep cycle is as 2、及時與家長溝通，發現學生的不良反映或表現不好的行為、去成績下降等及時與家長溝通了解情況。前一段時間，我發現班內楊慶良的成績一路下滑，于是我與家長進行了一次談話。發現楊慶良同學原來一直在利用下午放學的時間去操場練習籃球?！皬娚斫◇w”自然是一件好事，但是要保證給孩子充足的學習時間，而楊慶良卻顧此失彼了。于是我和家長達成了共識，如果他的成績總是這樣，就取消他的活動，而一門心思的投入到學習當中。我想從這以后，他一定會取得好成績，獲得進步的。

3.后進生要多加關注，不能放任自流。后進生的問題是班內的一個大問題，也是讓老師頭疼的問題。沒有辦法，人與人之間總是存在著個體差異，十個手指還不一般齊呢！后進生自理能力差、貪玩，教師要進行個別指導，多給他們時間，對于難掌握的地方要重點指導，利用放學后的半個小時進行指導學習，使其共同進步！
