（一）便條的寫作

便條是一種簡單的書信形式。要求考生仔細閱讀和分析所給的情景，確定便條所涉及的內容，如寫便條者與便條接收者的身份、兩者之間的關系及情景的正式程度等。

便條的特點在于內容簡短，大多是臨時性的詢問、留言、通知、要求等。與正規書信相比，便條的語言更為口語化，比如要通知某事只需這樣開頭：Just a line to tell you that...而無須像正規書信那樣This is to inform you that...開頭。有急事需要告訴別人而又不能面談時，就可以寫便條，如請假條、留言條等。一般不寫地址，與普通書信基本相同。結尾時也無需要結尾禮詞，只需要寫上便條者姓名。

便條的日期通常寫在右上角，一般只要寫上星期幾，也可以寫明上午、下午的具體時間；日常應用中，寫上幾月幾日的也很普遍。但一般不寫年份，因為便條的內容多半是當日或近日內要辦的事情。

便條具有用途廣泛、形式簡單、文字要求不十分嚴格的特點。

基本寫作格式

便條內容和類型不盡相同，可以靈活變通。但必須包括以下四個基本要素； 1）Date：便條日期2）Salutation：稱呼3）Body：正文 4）Signature：署名

注意事項

1.詞句簡潔，盡量避免應酬語和敬詞 2.切忌內容空洞、言不達意。分類舉例

Joe 從便條中可看出，英語表達先“果”—I won't be able to go to dance with you this weekend后“因”—my mother is suddenly taken ill，即所謂“先果后因”。

一般來說，在單個句子中，英語句子也是先中心，也就是將主要思想、結果放在句首，放在主句里表達；而漢語正相反，一般為后中心，主要的觀點、信息往往放在句末。如：He had to stay at home yesterday because he was ill．（因為他病了，昨天他不得不呆在家里。）

Tragedies can be written in literature since there is tragedy in life．（生活中既然有悲劇，文學作品就可以寫悲劇。）

所以說，大學生用英文寫作時，要按照英美人的思維模式進行思考，避免寫出中國式的英語。
