了解口試評分原則與方法

在口試過程中口試教師依照口試評分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)進行評分，而不對兩名考生的口試情況作任何比較。口試教師依照口試各節(jié)的全部考查內(nèi)容對考生進行口語評價，而且依照其中的某一部分獨立評分。

2.口試教師的第二個目的，同時也是一個順理成章的結(jié)果，是得到有關(guān)考生英語水平的初步印象。這一印象對于考生的最后得分至關(guān)重要。因為根據(jù)心理學(xué)測試的結(jié)果，一個有經(jīng)驗的面試官可以在口試開始后1-2分鐘之內(nèi)得出對考生評判的結(jié)論，而無需等到口試結(jié)束。在余下的時間里，口試教師多半都在按照自己初步結(jié)論的慣性思維，從考生的回答中有意無意地尋找符合自己所做結(jié)論的證據(jù)來進一步證實自己的結(jié)論是正確的。其實這種思維方式不僅體現(xiàn)在各種口試中，也普遍存在于社會生活的方方面面，我們對于一個人或任何事物在最初接觸時形成的第一印象往往是很難改變的，除非發(fā)生什么戲劇性的情況，這種印象經(jīng)常是占據(jù)主導(dǎo)地位的。

這就意味著我們應(yīng)該特別注意對第一階段最初幾個問題的回答，盡管它們都是非常簡單的問題，考生絕不能掉以輕心，忽視對這些簡單問題的回答。有些考生在回答這些簡單問題時甚至?xí)敢恍┑图夊e誤，給口試教師留下不好的第一印象，也影響了自己后面的正常發(fā)揮。例如：

i: “what do you do?”

c: “i’m talking with you.”

上面兩句中口試教師明明在問：“你是做什么的？”考生卻回答：“我正在跟你談話。”可以想像，這樣的回答會對考生產(chǎn)生多么不利的第一印象。

口語考試不僅應(yīng)該用口，還要用心回答每個問題。在回答任何問題時，不要慌慌張張地急于切入主題，大腦中迅速思考一下這個問題可能涉及到的后續(xù)問題，盡量把話題引到自己比較熟悉而口試教師又可能感興趣的話題上，而不要匆忙中為自己設(shè)下一個陷阱。比如當(dāng)口試教師問你曾經(jīng)做過哪些職業(yè)或從事過哪些業(yè)余活動時，如果你的回答是“i like singing”就可能被問到更多有關(guān)singing的問題，如“who is your favourite singer?”“what is your favourite song?”“why do you like him/her/it?”等等。這就要求考生在考前要做好相應(yīng)的準(zhǔn)備，考試中才能應(yīng)對自如，輕松過關(guān)。

三、聽說一體促進提高口語水平

我們學(xué)習(xí)口語目的是為了與別人進行交流，所以英語口語中的幾個要素的重要次序應(yīng)為：流利—準(zhǔn)確—恰當(dāng)。也就是說，我們應(yīng)更注重與人交流的能力而不是僅僅把重點放在語法的正確性上。

首先，我講講我們的學(xué)生在英語口語學(xué)習(xí)中主要存在的障礙：

①過于追求學(xué)習(xí)的捷徑，爭于求成，沒有真正踏踏實實地去接觸大量的英語材料。②套用中文思維方式去學(xué)英語，而不是采用英語思維方式。中國學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)英語的常用方法是大量地記憶單詞，或大量做題，卻不進入英語本身的語言符號系統(tǒng)中去，而這正是“啞巴英語”產(chǎn)生的根源。

③把英語當(dāng)成嚴(yán)密的科學(xué)來學(xué)，說話之前首先看是否符合語法，始終用語法來思維。在英語學(xué)習(xí)中，邏輯思維的運用是必要的，但更重要的是還要運用日常表達的習(xí)慣性思維。那么針對這些主要障礙，我提出以下幾個相對有效的學(xué)習(xí)方法：

1.通過大量的聽力練習(xí)，自覺培養(yǎng)英語思維習(xí)慣

語言輸入的一個重要途徑之一就是聽。大家知道，口語學(xué)習(xí)的關(guān)鍵是要模仿地道的英語，如果你找不到老外或是練習(xí)口語的對象，你可以從聽力材料中借力。聽力材料需包括校園、社會、科普等話題，在進行聽力練習(xí)的時候，從中總結(jié)口語表達的語言套路，并加以演練，這樣你的口語聽起來就會顯得洋味十足。開始練習(xí)時速度可以慢一些，要逐步使自己跟上磁帶的朗讀速度。

具體步驟：先放錄音磁帶，聽段落大意，理解整個故事的情節(jié)；再放錄音，盡量聽懂每一句話，實在聽不懂再去看書，搞明白每一個單詞的意思。然后，放一句，暫停，模仿錄音讀一句；然后，放下一句，暫停，再學(xué)一句，中間可以回放。當(dāng)你對文章的發(fā)音、語調(diào)完全掌握之后，就要在放錄音的同時同步跟讀。爭取讓自己的聲音與錄音磁帶完全重合。如果中間有結(jié)巴的地方也不要緊，繼續(xù)讀下去，然后再回來重讀。最后，關(guān)掉錄音機，朗誦課文。注意使用學(xué)到的語音語調(diào)。

2.復(fù)述練習(xí)：通過大量閱讀，提高英語思維能力

了解英漢兩種語言的思維差異需要在平時的閱讀中不斷地感受、體會、積累。由于受母語的影響，有些人講英語往往是先在頭腦中出現(xiàn)漢語，然后才是英語，因此就出現(xiàn)了不顧思維差異的“中式英語”現(xiàn)象。解決這一問題的方法就是加大英語閱讀量，多讀一些簡易讀物。要想提高口語表達水平，所讀的語言材料能夠朗朗上口。你可以試著把自己所讀過的章節(jié)或

剛剛讀過的小故事用英語復(fù)述出來。相信用這樣的方法練習(xí)，一定會提高口語表達的流利程度，并逐步擺脫母語的影響，逐漸形成用英語思維的習(xí)慣。正是鑒于這一點，本書第三、四章的長難句及第五、六章的語義段落均選編自口語功能較強的英語國家原版期刊，考生必須對照磁帶上英、美專家的朗讀，加強自己的跟讀練習(xí)。

3.堅持背誦和朗讀英語，培養(yǎng)英語語感和英語思維能力

在學(xué)漢語時，我們知道“熟讀唐詩三百首，不會作詩也會吟”，英語學(xué)習(xí)也是這樣，可以這么說，如能熟背英語九百句，口語交流的基本障礙就會被掃除。在實際生活中，在各種不同的情景或場合、對不同的對象表達某一意念時常使用的習(xí)慣用語并不太多。這些用語大多具有固定的句型，往往不能用漢譯英的方式直譯出來。一個對口語句型掌握熟練的人，只要掌握2500~3000個常用詞和短語，就能較自由地表達自己的思想。而朗讀英語實際是在“磨牙”、練口腔肌肉，是純粹的“體力活”。成年人英語講不好很大程度上是因為講英文時舌頭不靈活，沒有講英文的習(xí)慣。找一些英文段落、繞口令或者典型句型，反復(fù)大聲讀，直到舌、齒靈活。我相信只要持之以恒，通過朗讀發(fā)聲訓(xùn)練完全可以提高“口齒”伶俐程度。同時，朗讀會不斷刺激大腦，強化英語語感和英語思維能力。

4.通過英漢口譯練習(xí)，鍛煉英語思維

首先要選擇地道的漢英（或英漢）對照讀物，選好材料后，先讀漢語部分，然后逐句口譯成英文，完成一小段后，再對照書上的英文部分并與自己的口譯進行比較，就可以發(fā)現(xiàn)口譯中的錯誤、不足以及一點一滴的進步。這種比較過程，就像一位高級教師在指導(dǎo)你，一些我們在學(xué)習(xí)英語課文時熟視無睹的地道的英語用法通過比較會被重新發(fā)現(xiàn)和認(rèn)識。進行這種“back translation”練習(xí)，開始時要選擇較簡單的讀物，而且應(yīng)大量地做，只做一兩篇效果是不明顯的。這種練習(xí)在最初的時候可能進展緩慢，費時較多，但這是一個啟動、加速的過程，只要堅持下去，練上一段時間后你的翻譯速度就會大大加快。經(jīng)過大量的練習(xí)，你會有這樣的感覺：你的翻譯水平大大加強了，你的口語表達能力大大提高了！你的口譯（語）能力和英語思維能力同步增長！<本書的第三、四章所運用的英文語句，我們都基本上采用直譯的方式譯成漢語與其原文按對照方式排列，這樣就是為了方便考生進行“back translation”的練習(xí)>

5.尋找學(xué)伴一起練習(xí)口語

英語角是個不錯的地方，在那我們不但可以練習(xí)口語，還可以交流英語學(xué)習(xí)經(jīng)驗，開拓視野，提高英語學(xué)習(xí)興趣。如果找不到學(xué)伴或參加英語角的機會很少，那么也沒有關(guān)系，有很多種方法可以自己練習(xí)口語。比如通過自己對自己來創(chuàng)造英語環(huán)境。可以對自己描述所看到的景物，英語口述自己正在做的事情。

6.聽譯法—角色互換：三人一組，模擬翻譯實戰(zhàn)
