2014年英國留學申請季即將來臨，大多數的同學早已準備好申請材料，自己DIY大學申請，那同學們在DIY申請的過程中該注意些什么呢？

1、是否有充裕的時間和精力？

同學們要想保證DIY英國留學申請的效率，有充裕的時間和精力是必不可少的。

如果申請人學術背景不是很強、GPA不是很高，那么，現在最重要的事情就是把時間和精力放到提升學術背景和GPA上面。

如果申請人的IELTS/TOEFL/GRE/GMAT成績有待提高，DIY申請會導致無法集中全部的時間和精力提高這些考試成績。

2、是否有較強的自我分析和定位能力？

申請人準確的給自己定位是DIY英國留學申請成功與否的一個重要因素。

留學申請復雜而又瑣細，DIY申請人必須具備一種時間統籌觀念。如果在關鍵的時間節點錯過申請、面試等會落下遺憾。

比如，如果在申請季開始時，申請人甚至還沒有弄清楚TOEFL考試考位很緊張需提前好幾個月報名這一狀況，再或者是想申請巴斯大學口譯專業的學生不知道巴斯大學每年的1月份就截止對中國學生的招生、曼徹斯特大學的部分專業在提交申請時必須有雅思成績才能提交申請，那么，DIY對你來說將非常地困難。

4、對于信息的篩選和分析能力夠嗎？

大部分DIY學生的信息來源于網絡。面對信息的龐雜和魚龍混雜，DIY學生需要做的是鑒別信息的真實性、實用性、時效性。

有很多學生問過我這樣的問題：我看見貼吧和論壇上面說，英國學生簽證需要提供的資金證明必須在半年以上，是嗎？

不是的！申請英國學生簽證只需提供28天的存款證明就可以了。大家在查看互聯網信息時，請一定不要盡信“網”。

5、是否有較好的中英文寫作能力？

DIY需要申請人具有較高的中英文寫作水平。沒錯，這里說的是中文和英文寫作能力。語言表達能力、思考深度、為什么申請這個專業，你有什么優勢。申請人如果沒有較好的中文能力，怎么能寫出深刻的文章呢？

同學們有良好的中文寫作能力還不夠，沒有良好的英文基礎，基本時態要錯，句式只會簡單句，那么，你寫出來的文章會是什么樣子的呢？因此，DIY文書寫作如果沒有同時具備良好的中文和英文能力，那么，請不要自己DIY英國留學申請。

第三篇：留學申請

名校申請之路--從大二開始規劃

一、出國還是不出國

出國申請不是一個小工程，本科畢業之后的出路可以算得上是人生第一個重要決寫。所以決定做這件事之前，我們應該先弄清楚為什么要出國，我建議大家可以從以下幾個角度考慮，評估下自己要不要出國：

1、個人職業規劃

A如果你想做科研，那么毫無疑問你需要出去讀一個PhD。雖然中國現在也在進步，但進步的步伐明顯落后于經濟實力進步的速度，如果你是一個專心搞科研的人，那么PHD是一條最適合的道路。

B如果你想進軍工業界，那么你是想做技術還是想做管理？如果出國的話，中國的孩子大多數都很難做到一個大公司的高級管理崗位，如果你國內的學校牌子不錯，聲譽不錯的話，進入一個企業從基層做起，最后進入管理層的希望要比在國外大。當然，去國外鍍金然后回國進入工業界，也是可行的。如果你想做一個純粹的技術人員，那么我覺得國外是一個好選擇。2.見世面、開眼界

有的人對出國不想想這么多，只是想趁著自己年輕出去闖一闖，見識一下國外的天空，開闊一下自己的眼界，和其他文化背景的人交流交流。我想這個理由已經足夠充分了。坦率地說，我遇到的很多學生都是這種想法的人。

二、如果決定出國，那么應該怎么做

1、充分的了解

做一件事情之前，對基本知識的掌握是很有必要的。我推薦的參考材料和信息來源如下： 推薦的入門讀物是《北大飛躍手冊》和《上海交大飛躍手冊》。這兩本書可以讓你了解出國的流程是什么，這都是百科全書級別的著作，抽時間讀一讀，你的收獲會很大。推薦的深入級讀物是《太傻十日談》（絕對不是王婆賣瓜哈，相信只要是去美國的同學，90%以上都是讀過這本經典之作吧。）這本書可以讓深入了解什么是申請，申請的本質是什么。寄托和太傻恐怕所有想要出國的人都去過。這兩個論壇可以說是全國最大的兩個留學論壇了，特點是信息量大，缺點是人多且雜，遴選有效信息較為費時。這兩個論壇我覺得你一定要去過，尤其是論壇的托福版和GRE版，絕對體現了勤勞的天朝人民互幫互助的傳統美德，是你備考期間必去的地方。

如果有興趣也可以參與一下國內外的機構做的出國交流的項目，可以提前去國外的學校體驗學習生活，順便見一下導師和同學。這類的目前有新東方的冬夏令營，還有像GYDO這樣的機構做的一些名校課程為主的短期出國交流項目。新東方http://liuxue.neworiental.org/ GYDO www.tmdps.cn。最后，請不要忘了自己學校的BBS。在上面你可以很輕松的找到針對你自己學校的信息和經驗，一定是你飛躍路上的好幫手。

2、時間安排

任何時候都不能忘記的東西是GPA和科研，這兩點是你申請中最重要的兩部分。因此我建議你將這兩項貫穿到你的整個時間安排之中，永遠都要抓牢。

如果你現在已經決定要出國，那么我建議你把GRE安排在明年6月。GRE的報名現在就可以進行了，最好把作文安排在明年的2-3月，給筆試留下足夠的時間。GRE結束后就可以開始TOEFL的備考了，如果有了GRE的基礎，T的復習可以安排在明年期末考試結束之后，9月初進行第一次TOEFL考試，由于T是人機對話，不確定因素很多，大部分學生都需要考兩次，但第二次不要和第一次隔的時間過長，可以安排在明年的10月或是11月。這樣你就可以在大三的上半學期把所有的考試都完成了。如果把英語的考試時間固定后，我們就可以根據英語考試時間來同時進行背景提升了。

3、申請中各項因素的逐一分析

個人認為，如果你沒有特別突出的，足以改變局勢的亮點，申請中各項的重要性排序應該是GPA>Research>套磁>TOEFL>選校>GRE>申請文書。A、GPA

越高越好，任何時候行動都不算晚。之所以把GPA放在第一位，是因為這個是每一個本科生想做都可以做得好的。關于如何得到一個好的GPA，我就不詳細說了，少逃課，多自習，考試前使勁兒突擊，靠著三條足以應付國內絕大多數學校的絕大多數課程了。B、Research

科研是申請的決定性因素，也是最能拉開申請者檔次的一項。每年一大把的申請者都和你有著同樣的GPA、G和T，你靠什么脫穎而出？只能靠科研經歷。

對于本科生來說，進實驗室的機會并不是那么好得到的，所以你應該早一點開始規劃。在進實驗室這前最好能先確定自己出去后想讀的專業，應該說專業確定是我們開始時面臨的比較棘手的問題，國內外的專業設置不大一樣，國外的方向一般是比較細的，我們能做的只能是盡可能的去了解，然后判斷。在確定了自己的方向后，就要開始進行實驗室和導師的調查了，和自己想讀的方向是否有一定的相關性，外國做的人多不多，老師有無國際聲譽，有無海外經歷，他發paper的水平，他對本科生指導不指導，等等等等。

科研經歷最重要，paper對大多數申請者來說是補充，因為國內絕大多數本科生發出來的文章都不夠top。切忌掛名文、灌水文，很容易露餡。自己水平的提高、經歷的豐富、對research的理解體會才是最重要、最能打動人的?，F在我接觸的學生中有一個很不好的誤區，就是動輒就談paper，發幾篇中文核心可以如何如何，發幾篇EI可以如何如何。其實，外國教授分不清咱們中國人的什么中文核心，什么EI，他們關心的是你文章的質量（他們關心業內的頂級期刊，而這些期刊，國內的老師也未必能發出來，更別說本科生了。）如果你有很好的科研經歷，那么發paper是對你研究的總結和“獎勵”，切忌本末倒置。科研的深度比寬度重要，即使是寬也要與你申請方向沾邊才好，非申請方向的科研經歷基本上會被無視。我今年帶的一個學生，本科期間做過3個完全不同方向的research，最后老板只關心他那個方向的那段經歷，剩下的只是起了豐富經歷、裝飾簡歷的作用。本科生得到好科研的機會很有限。我這里要強烈推薦“本科生創新實踐計劃”這個教育部開展的東西。國家出錢，給本科生做科研做項目的機會，一定要好好把握。C、競賽

國內常見的國家級大學生競賽包括數學建模，ACM編程大賽，大學生創業比賽，挑戰杯和電子設計競賽這幾樣。如果能在跟你專業緊密相關的領域，取得非常優秀的競賽成績，會對申請幫助很大。但是競賽要花很多時間但是又很難保證優秀的結果，投入大量的時間搞競賽而忽略了專業學習或者科研，得不償失。D、套磁

套磁與research和選校密切相關。E、TOEFL

托福是必考的考試，對于申請美國大學來說，不建議考雅思，因為沒有托福的認可程度高，學校的老師也對iBT更熟悉一些。備考請以100+為目標，口語越高越好，最好要做到>20，23-24是一個坎，如果考到了24以上，那么恭喜你，你很有希望靠這個口語砍下TA了。TOEFL的備考期一般在2到3個月，不建議為準備托福花過多時間。切忌每次考都覺得自己還沒準備好，然后考完再去考第二次、第三次，如果你一直不好好準備的話，考8次和考2次沒有本質區別。復習技巧我在這里就不多說了，如果以后有可能的話，我會專門寫一篇文章來介紹。F、GRE

相對于GRE的重要性來說，很多人動輒全脫產一年復習實在是反應過度了，這可能和新東方對GT的神話有很大關系。如果你有一個差不多的分數，就不要花超多時間去刷分了，但是不要以為GRE就完全不重要，很多學校在第一輪篩學生的時候，往往是用這些硬件成績來劃線的，所以GRE不能低到連第一輪都過不去。

備考請以1300+4.0為目標，考過這個分，就完全夠用了。對于理工科學生，AW不重要，只有極少數學?？ˋW，哪怕有的學校明確在網頁上寫了要求X.X，也不會太嚴格的執行。備考GRE最忌諱的是恍恍惚惚混混噩噩。我見過太多天天拿著紅寶書背的孩子，據他（們）說都背了10+遍了，那書爛的都快散架了。但是考好幾遍GRE分數都不理想，那我只能說，你把時間浪費掉了。

三、總結

看到這里，我想你對申請已經有了一個較為全面的認識了吧。對自己有信心，加油去拼搏，最后都會有一個滿意的結果的。有一句我很喜歡的話送給所有準備申請的同學們--寶劍鋒從磨礪出，梅花香自苦寒來。

第四篇：留學申請

我們每個人在兒時，都曾擁有過偉大的夢想。只是不知道在成長歲月中的什么時候，被改掉了，被偷走了，或是因為我們給予的滋養不足，夢想的種子仍深深地埋在土里，難以發芽。

隨著年齡的增長，我的內心卻有個聲音不斷提醒著我“找回你真正的夢想吧！不管過去這段時間里，你曾把它藏在什么地方，或是被改掉，或者被偷走，快走吧，你要去把夢想找回來”。而我的夢想就是——成為一名優秀的酒店管理者。因為父母工作的原因，我對于酒店管理這個專業很感興趣。無論寒暑假，我都會在自家經營的酒店中實習，媽媽對我的要求頗為嚴格，在某些方面的標準都要高于其他前臺接待。我很享受實習的過程，為每一位顧客提供高質量的服務是我的心愿，看到每位顧客臉上滿意的微笑便是對我最大的鼓勵。通過這些實習，我的溝通能力、組織能力、協調能力有顯著的提高，為將來走向工作崗位打下了堅實的基礎。
