2011年12月英語四級、英語六級考試寫作指導

“折戟沉沙鐵為消，自將磨洗認前朝。”每次大學英語四級 考試，許多考生總會在這場“無硝煙的戰斗”中飽受煎熬。他們總會存在這樣一個問題，四級考試為什么這么難，什么原因導致自己總是通不過四級考試，又該如何 提高英語成績，如何通過大學英語四級考試（CET-4）。特別是對于很多學藝術的同學而言，能否順利通過四級考試將直接關系到他們的保研資格與前途。針對 以上問題，我特意寫了這篇文章，通過教學與實踐，對考生存在的問題以及解決方法作全面地解剖，希望對各位考生能夠有所幫助。

四級考試從1987年以來已經走過了23個年頭。2006年6月實行新四級考試，12月份開始全國將全面推行新四級考試。對于新四級考試，我們可以清楚地看到，雖然考試難度較之以前有所偏易，但是考試本身對于英語的全面考察卻是加強了。來源：上考試大網校，考試輕松過關

新四級考試，題型分為寫作、快速閱讀、聽力、基本閱讀、選詞填空、完型填空和漢譯英。就我個人而言，寫作、聽力和閱讀（快速閱讀和基礎閱讀）是重點，因此考生對于這三部分的得分多少，將直接決定著其考試分數的高低。

下面就讓我們依次來解析一下。

第一、寫作。

（一）存在問題

1.不會寫

所謂不會寫指的是，當考試拿過一篇文章不知如何下手，不知如何提筆進行寫作。筆者認為主要是存在以下兩個原因：一是考生的確無話可說；二是心里雖然有話，但是拿捏不準該寫哪句為妙。于是思前想后、猶豫不決，始終不敢提筆進行寫作。

2.寫不好

所謂寫不好就是，拿過作文題，沒有明確的寫作思路，不按套路出牌；或是簡單漢語邏輯思維寫作，不符合英語寫作標準，近而沒有文采。原因在于：第一是平時沒有養成良好的寫作習慣；第二對于英語寫作的句式特點以及整體文章結構框架不了解。

（二）解決辦法

第一，首先必須熟悉英語四級寫作具體要求。英語四級考試要求考生在30分鐘內寫出120字的文章。體材主要有議論文（分為“Topic題型”和 A&B又稱“正反觀點題”）應用文（主要是書信）、圖表文等。針對不同的體裁，寫作思路是不同的。比如，以議論文舉例來說：

1.議論文寫作思路

2.議論文分類：闡述主題型作文（Topic）；正反觀點型作文（A&B）

3.闡述主題型作文寫作：（這類題型作文要求從一句話或一個主題出發，按照提綱的要求進行論述）

4.正反觀點型作文（A&B）（這類題型作文通常從正反兩方面來分別論述，最后得出你自己的結論。采用論點加論據寫作形式。）

第二，熟悉英語寫作的幾個重要概念。

1.英語文章段落結構特點

英語文章段落結構一般有三部分構成：主題句+擴展句+結尾句

（1）主題句：所謂主題句，就是英語文章段落的中心思想句。它是英語文章段落的靈魂，在英語文章段落中居于主導地位。我們都知道英語文章一般喜歡開門見山，所以主題句一般位于英語文章段落的句首。其他句子都要圍繞它而展開。

（2）擴展句：所謂擴展句就是為主題句起解釋說明或論證的句子。通常我們寫擴展句所采用的方法是舉例子（for example，for instance，such as，a case in point is that---）、列數據（according to the recent study/survey，---）等。

（3）結尾句：所謂結尾句就是總結句。英語寫作也類似于漢語寫作，最后再把自己本段落的寫作目的陳述一下。但是在英語寫作中結尾句畢竟還是少數。

因此我們通常看到英語的文章段落結構 60%-70%都是由主題句+擴展句構成。

2.主旨句

作為主旨句就是英語文章的中心思想句。英語文章一般首先用一句話概括一下作者的寫作目的或意圖，我們就把這句話稱之為主旨句。沒有受過寫作訓練的考生是不會寫主旨句的。因此這樣的文章就不能夠稱之為好的英語文章，自然也得不到閱卷人的青睞了。第三，學會遣詞造句。

1.遣詞：

（1）詞匯等級

所謂詞匯的等級就是，我們在寫作的過程中，如果想出一個基本詞匯來之后，能夠在這個基本詞匯的基礎上把它在提升一下，也就是我們一般寫作所提倡的用“難 詞”。比如，我們一提到“重要的”，大多數同學首先會想到“important”這個單詞，那么提升一下的話就可以想到它的如下同義 詞：significant，vital，main，basilica，crucial，momentous etc

（2）詞匯準確性

所謂詞匯的準確性是指，我們在有一個詞近而想到它的同義詞之后，要結合語境選擇恰當的用詞。在這里必須指明的是，并不是詞匯等級越高越好，必須還要考慮 到適合于不同的語境。比如，眼睛大，這個“大的”形容詞，我們首先會想到big，近而想到great，large，huge，vast，titanic，enormous etc。那么是不是用后面的詞就可以了呢？或者說用上enormous等詞更能博得閱卷人的好感呢？答案是否定的。在這里很明顯用后面的詞來修飾眼睛是不 可以，只能用big，因為我們聽過一首英文歌曲叫做“I am a big big girl，in a big big world.”big表示眼睛大而迷人可愛的。

2.造句：

（1）詞組

很多考生平時寫作不太擅長用詞組，對于他們而言 最習慣的就是想到漢語，然后對應漢語思維寫出英語句子，這種寫作只能是單詞的羅列組合，談不上什么技巧文采可言，因此，寫出來的文章必然就是所謂平淡如流 水，沒有英語的味道。如果我們能夠在單詞的基礎上，進一步想到與之同義的詞組，那么文章就會顯得與眾不同，更具有英語的味道。比如上面所說的“重要的”這 個單詞，當我們想到important的時候，如果從語法角度再稍加考慮一下，我們會想到“be of importance”。因為，語法中規定：形容詞等于of加這個形容詞的名詞形式。如果再提升一步，我們還學過一個常用的詞組叫做“play an important role in---”。很多同學說自己的文章湊不夠字數或是沒有文采，那么采用詞組進行寫作是不是就可以解決以上問題了呢？

大學英語四級考試中，寫作是考生要做的第一道題，足以看出它的重要性。四級寫作是對大學生英語綜合水平和應用能力的綜合考察，是四級考試的重要組成部分。針對考生在四級作文中可能出現的問題，提出以下幾點應試技巧和備考策略。

一、考生在寫作當中經常出現的問題

1.基本詞匯和語法不過關。

主要表現為對英語語法知識的掌握不牢靠及對基本詞匯記憶不清。在語句中，會出現主謂不一致，單復數搞不清楚，時態與語態混亂等現象。除了句子上的語法與結構問題，整篇文章的布局與思路也不流暢，支離破碎，形不成一個完整的系統，讓人看不懂你要說的是什么。

2.語言積累太少，不能寫出相對復雜或優美的句子。

很多考生在寫作中遇到的困難首先是無從下手，沒有什么可寫的。

考生在提筆想寫出表達自己思想的句子時，往往遇到單詞不會或句子結構搞不清而無法繼續寫下去。為了湊夠字數，就只好胡亂拼湊。而且語句全是簡單的主謂賓，沒有從句及高級詞匯和詞組。這樣會大大降低文章的檔次。因此，考生在英語學習過程中，應高度重視詞匯的學習和詞組的積累，熟練掌握教學大綱中所要求的四級詞匯。

3.考生寫作中的文章布局問題

很多考生的寫作方法是先想好中文再翻譯成英文，這個在所難免。因為大家對漢語還是最熟悉的，喜歡用母語來表達我們的觀點和意見。而且即使對專業學習英語的人來說，也很難達到在寫作時完全用英文思考的狀態。但是漢語跟英語在語法上有很大的區別，如果直接翻譯過來，會出現很大問題，就是地道的漢式英語，讀起來很不舒服。

二、英語四級考試寫作應試技巧及備考策略

1.認真審題，準確立意

從歷次大學英語四級考試中我們可以看到，四級寫作是一種給題目、提示、及指導的短文寫作，因此，緊緊圍繞其題旨是至關重要的。考生在審題的過程應當認真審閱作文的說明要求和所給的材料，比如段首句、提綱、關鍵詞、圖表等，確定相應的體裁，明確自己的中心思想，從而明確作文的寫作范圍和側重點。審題的目的主要是確定文章的主題思想，一篇文章只能有一個主題思想，要鮮明、深刻、有新意。另外，考生要善于分析給定的材料，總結材料包含的主要內容，是否含有引申義，這一點也很重要。

2.簡單列出提綱

英語四級考試一般要求在30分鐘內寫出一篇120個詞的短文，文章雖說并不是太長，但需要有論有據，有頭有尾。為了防止時間不足導致質量降低甚至不能完成文章，寫作時一定要安排好時間。為了在寫作時有章可循，不跑題，建議最好用5分鐘左右寫下提綱和要點，這樣做一是不至于無話可說，二是可以避免虎頭蛇尾。大家只需確定每段要寫什么，圍繞主題展開，大致建立文章框架即可。

3.確立段落主題句

這其實是對提綱的細化。學生應用最精煉的語言概括出段落的主題句。段落主題句就是每段的中心思想，因此，主題句最好放在每段的段首，能讓閱卷人一眼就能明了全段大意。同時，主題句結構要完整，表達意義要準確，有高度的概括性，且用詞要精煉生動。

4.注意文章的邏輯性

無論是漢語文章還是英語文章，都要注重邏輯性，這樣才能連貫合理。英語句子不像漢語句子，漢語不用連詞也能表達完整的句子，但英語的句子之間必須用連詞或關系詞來連接。因此，考試在寫作中，句子之間要用相應的連接詞來體現文章的邏輯性。比如：表示舉例或補充說明的關聯詞、表示時間或順序的關聯詞、表示轉折的關聯詞以及表示原因與結果的關聯詞等等，考生在平時的學習中要有意識的積累這類連接詞。

5.文章修改

考生寫完一篇文章后，若時間允許，要進行修改。考生可從以下幾個方面入手修改。應該先從語篇結構上檢查，這主要是檢查文章的主題是否明確，篇章層次是否明顯，段落銜接是否連貫，內容是否切題等。另一方面就是具體檢查每個段落，這一步主要檢查段落是否完善，中心是否突出，段內各句是否銜接緊湊等。最后就是做語法上的檢查，包括用詞是否恰當，標點是否正確，句子結構是否完整，語句是否通順等。

最后，需要提醒廣大考生的是，寫作能力的提高不是一朝一夕可以辦到的，它需要考生平時的刻苦訓練，還要各個環節的密切配合。四級寫作考察的是考生的英語綜合水平，因此，考生在平時備考過程中要多練習，多總結，多積累。

很多同學提到英語作文痛苦不已，每次提筆都很頭痛。下面總結基礎較差的同學易出現的問題進行總結，希望能幫忙更多的考生提前做好寫作的復習準備工作。

多年教四級精講班的閱讀和寫作部分過程中。布置過多次作業，收集學生寫作案例，也進行了相應的批改。在批改的過程有，頗多感觸，特成此文，與各位同學分享。

目前，到培訓機構學習四級長期提高的同學，從總體上來看，可謂是英語學習的“重災區”，他們顯示出以下的特點：

1.基本的語法概念都有較大的問題，這些語法概念包括時態、詞性、主語的性別、被動結構等；

2.基本詞匯量極為有限，很難表達清楚自己的觀點；

3.在英語寫作的過程中，暴露出中文寫作能力的不足，比如邏輯性、論證能力、描述能力等；

4.思路有時反而放得太開，不了解四六級考試作文部分真正的要求； 5.對英語國家文化層面的內容缺乏較基本的了解。同時，這批同學也有值得欣賞的亮點：

1.由于考試過關的壓力，學習目的性很強，如果善于引導，可以較好的激發他們的學習熱情；

2.該層次的學員性格相對要張揚一些，對時尚、流行的東西也更為敏感，如果調整得當，可以贏得輕松融洽的課堂氣氛。

下面，我結合授課及作業批改過程中所做的收集，給各位同學提供一些例子：

一、基本語法層面的問題：

1.關于時態：時態是四級長期提高的同學們最普遍的難關，主要表現為：

a.無法保持時態在全文的一致：這一現象很普遍，往往是緊接的兩句，而且是沒有任何時間狀語的情況之下，就出現了時態的不一致，例：I saw an English man.He have a big bag.b.時態的基本用法錯誤

同學們在寫作的過程中，出于自己有限的詞匯水平，想要表達的意思卻說不清，最終的結果是生硬的將中文表達中的詞匯翻成英語。舉幾個例子：

例一：學生想說明英語口語的重要性，I saw an English man.He have(保持時態一致，用had)a big bag.He looked for（這樣說有可能產生讀者的誤解，He looked for a map 可以理解為“他在找一張地圖”，建議改為“He was looking for a place on a map.”）a map.He got lost.例二：想說明“考試只是一種形式”，test is only a form, 同學并不了解，其實有“test is only a test”這樣的用法。

例三：想說明口語的重要性。“在國外，我可以不會寫英語，但不能不會說英語”，I can can’t write, but I can’t can’t speak.三、缺乏邏輯性、論證能力、描述能力等

有一次，我的作文題目是“A Campaign Speech”，為競選學生會主席而進行演講。有一位同學的作文比較有趣，他通篇說，如果我當選學生會主席，這將有助于提高我自己的組織能力、思維能力、交往能力，等等。我當時對他的作文的評價是：“設想你是一個學生，你會選一個只想著利用這個機會來提高自己的人作學生會主席嗎？”

另一次，我布置的作文是“Is Pressure a Bad Thing”? 結果就有同學大談How should we face the pressure，其實他的論述跳過了一步，先要論證pressure是否有積極的意義，然后才談得上如何去面對它。

四、不了解四六級考試作文部分真正的要求

有兩篇作文我印象比較深刻。我出的題目是“口語考試是否應該成為四六級考試的一部分”，要求從正、反兩方面論述。結果一位同學交上來的作文，第一節，I think spoken English test is not necessary，然后洋洋灑灑寫了一通，第二節，卻又變成I think spoken English test is necessary，然后同樣洋洋灑灑寫了一些論點。他沒有真正理解“正、反兩方面論述”這個要求的含義，結果寫了一篇自相矛盾的文章。

有一次我的題目是一個圖表題，展示的是大學生1990、1995、2000這三年中，平均每周用在計算機上的時間。圖表題的要求一般是第一小節描述變化趨勢，即圖表的數據分析，第二小節解釋變化的原因，第三小節展望未來趨勢或分析一些相關的問題。

結果這位同學非常辛苦地寫了一篇很長的文字。第一小節，回顧1990年，當時家里也很窮，父母都舍不得坐比較貴的空調車之類，描述一番當時的貧困生活，自然，也就沒有辦法購置計算機了。第二小節，到了1995年，生活好轉了，同時微軟公司推出了“Windows”操作系統，計算機的使用也變得方便了，所以每小時的使用時間增加了。第三小節，到了2000年，Intel公司推出了“奔騰”芯片，計算機的速度大大提高，于是計算機的使用時間大大增加。

憑心而論，排除一些語法和用詞的錯誤，這篇作文寫得還是不錯的。只是他有兩個問題： 第一、在第一小節中，將個人的經歷用于解釋普遍的大學生1990年計算機使用時間較短這一現象，這是“以偏概全”；第二、這樣分布三個小節的內容，比較冒險，因為原題中提示的三點，其實就是讓我們在文章中自然形成相應三個小節，四六級寫作考試是比較“八股文”的。

五、對英語國家文化層面的內容缺乏較基本的了解

一個常見的現象就是輕率地對英美國家的人士作結論性的描述，類似：Americans all like pressures。另外就是語言的夸大其辭。典型例子出自一位同學寫的競選學生會主席的演講，When students have some troubles, they all come to me.I talk to them, then they feel happy, and I feel happy too，這簡直是把自己描述成為“上帝”或者“邪教領袖”了。英語作文多多練習，多多犯錯，才會更好成長。
