外貿英語口語:外貿精髓的三大重點

每行每業都有自己的核心,作為中國主要經濟支柱的外貿行業,不但要求從業人員英語水平要過關,而且還要掌握必要的外貿知識。以下是外貿經驗豐富者總結出來的三大外貿精髓。

重點一:單證交易

所謂單證交易,就是用一套單證文件來代表貨物。交易以這套單證為對象,誰拿到了這套單證,誰就是貨物的主人。這樣一來,貨物盡量不動,單證則任意買賣轉手,由單證的持有者決定何時以及如何最終處理貨物。這套單證,通常包括幾個核心文件:

1、提單(即提貨單Billofloading,縮寫為B/L)

2、發票(Invoice)

與普通發票的概念不同,外貿中的“發票”指的是自己制作的列明該貨物名稱、數量和價格的一份署名文件。

3、裝箱單(PackingList)

自己制作的列明該批貨物體積重量及包裝情況的一份署名文件。

4、其他說明貨物情況的文件,如證明貨物品質的檢驗證書,證明產地的產地證書等。全套單證中,以提單最為重要,因為它是貨物的所有權證明----是具備國際公認的法律效力的物權證明。發票和裝箱單可以自己繕制。其他檢驗證書、產地證書等等則根據貨物的特性和買家的要求,由相應的國家機構如進出口商品檢驗檢疫局等,或雙方認可的組織機構如民間檢驗公司,貨運公司等出具。

從某種意義上來說,外貿操作員經手買賣的不是一堆堆的物品,而是一疊紙片。因此一個外貿業務員完成一筆交易,而自始至終沒有見過貨物的模樣,一點也不奇怪----他只需謹慎處理好那疊紙片即可。我們不難設想,因為貿易多數時候是憑單據而不是實物交易,因此即使貨物本身完美無缺,而單證有瑕疵----比如數據上的錯誤缺少一份相關證明文件等----則很可能導致交易失敗。反過來,即使貨物有問題,而單證齊全,仍可以初期順利交易。當然,這帶來了一些風險,比如偽造單證進行欺詐。不過欺詐本身在世界各國都是犯罪行為,自有相應的追究措施。

總之,單據在外貿中的作用是決定性的。建立起“外貿實際上就是買賣一套單據”的概念,對于理解國際貿易中很多特殊的、專業性的操作非常必要。

市場競爭激烈,很多時候,價格成了是否成交的惟一的因素。我們常會看到外貿商以低于國內銷售成本的價格出口貨物。他們瘋了嗎?不。即使以低于進價的價位“賤賣”,外貿仍有利潤。這就是外貿第二大關鍵秘密:退稅制度。

外貿重點二:退稅制度

退稅是外貿中的重要概念,也是目前外貿業務中利潤的主要來源。為便于管理,國家假定所有產品均為國內流通與消費,因此普遍征收增值稅,稅率高達售價的6%~17%不等。

正規情況下,國內采購或出口前的價格均為含稅價,即已經繳納了增值稅的價格。而產品用于出口的話,這部分稅就不應征收了,已經征收的可以按照程序部分或全部退返給出口商。假如你從國內工廠購進彩電一批,價格為含稅價1170元,其中1000元就是凈價,170元是已繳增值稅。按照國家的規定,彩電類產品的出口退稅率為17%,也就是說,彩電出口以后,稅務局將退返170元給出口商。這樣一來,即使出口商以平本價即1170元出口,仍可得到退稅款170元作為利潤收入。在這種情況下,如果出口者出于競爭考慮,從170元中拿出一部分來貼補降價,即使以低于進價1170元的價格出售,也還是有利潤的。

外貿交易通常貨值比較高,相應的退稅金也很可觀。當然,國家對退稅管理也很嚴格的,與外匯管理緊密結合。出口前需從外匯管理局部門領取《出口退稅核銷單》,申報出口總金額。核銷單還需海關蓋章確認貨物確實已經出口。在收到國外買家支付的貨款以后,憑銀行收據,連同核銷單到外匯管理局辦理核銷,再憑增值稅發票等到稅務局辦理退稅事宜,領取退稅金。

因此,外貿利潤的來源,相當程度上來源于國家出口退稅制度中的出口退稅,這是外貿最顯著的特點之一,也與大多數外貿業務員日常操作息息相關。

重點三:信用證交易

國際貿易中買賣雙方相距遙遠,背景各異貨物籌備交接以及貨款的支付周期都很長。因此商業信用就成了一個很大的難題。

作為出口商,擔心備齊了大宗貨物以后,買家變卦怎么辦?貨物千里迢迢運到國外,客戶不要了怎么辦?或者要了不給錢怎么辦?自然希望買家能夠先支付貨款,有了保障然后再備貨交貨。作為進口商,擔心出口商無法按時交貨怎么辦?貨物質量、數量不合格怎么辦?自然希望賣家先把貨物交付了,核查無誤再給錢。

這個矛盾,當然也可通過買家支付部分預付款或訂金的方式協商解決,但畢竟非上上策,一來買家資金占用比較大,二來真有什么糾紛了,雙方無論對錯都損失,不利公平。于是就產生了一種外貿特有的操作方式:信用證。信用證的產生,正是以外貿“單證交易”特性為基礎的。

所謂信用證,通俗說來就是買賣雙方事先商定交易條件,如品名、數量、質量標準、價格、交貨時間等。然后買家找一家銀行(通常就是買家的開戶行,或有一定的擔保)作為“中間人”,把這些交易條件提交銀行,銀行據以出具一份文件作為買賣雙方交易的依據。銀行作為中間人的責任,就是監督交易行為。賣方根據文件來備貨出貨,然后把代表貨物的全套單證交付銀行。銀行審核單證無誤以后,直接支付貨款。有銀行作為中間人,買賣雙方就不再直接進行錢貨交易,而是分別與銀行打交道。賣家不及時、按質按量交貨,就拿不到錢;買家不付錢,就拿不到貨。反之,有銀行作保,只要賣家交了貨,就一定能拿到錢。這種方式,既不占用買家資金,又給予了賣家很好的信用保證。這份用以證明雙方商業信用的文件,就叫做信用證。

信用證最基本的一般有四個關系方:

1、進口商:負責向自己的開戶銀行申請開立信用證,叫做信用證申請人。

2、進口商的銀行負責開立信用證并審核單據、撥付款項,叫做信用證開證行。

3、出口商負責根據信用證出貨,享有信用證保障的付款,叫做信用證受益人。

4、出口商的銀行負責替出口商領取信用證、轉交單證并與開證行接洽,叫做通知行。

此外,最終負責撥款的銀行叫做信用證償付行,一般就是開證行;也可以由另外的銀行先行墊付并收取少量費用,叫做信用證議付行,一般也就是通知行。信用證是外貿中最重要的也是最常見的工具。國際商會為規范信用證的使用而制定了統一的標準《UCP500》即《國際跟單信用證統一規定》,作為使用及仲裁的依據。
