家鄉的大年從臘月初一就開始預熱，逐漸升溫，一天比一天紅火，發燒直到年根底下。

臘月初一，家家上街買瓜子、花生、糖果。晚上，支起一口大鍋，倒上買來的花生、瓜子，放上大料，翻炒起來，一捆捆的柴和捅進火里，土炕燒得能烙餅，炒完以后，爸爸又悄悄的撒上一把玉米粒兒，倒上一勺油，不一會兒，鍋里的玉米就畢剝畢剝地響，盛到盤子里，金燦燦的玉米花，好不誘人。全部端進屋來，一家人圍在炕上，嘴里不停的嚼，咯嘣咯嘣的響著，吃的我嘴唇上滿是火泡。老奶為我燒咸湯，還要放糖，雖然難喝，但不出兩天，火氣全退了。
