教材內容、地位、聯系

本冊教材的知識要求是掌握一定量的詞匯，二十多個基本句子結構和一定量的日常交際用語，包括：“向新學生介紹老師、同學”，“根據特征認人”，“談論人物”，“認物”，“邀請別人外出”，“征求別人意見”及“詢問價格”，“介紹教室”，“確定位置”。其中一部分與前幾冊課文有間接或直接的聯系。新授單元由七個板塊組成：第一部分是Read and say情景對話板塊。該板塊通過情景會話，著重訓練學生的聽說技能，提高會話能力。第二部分是Look read and learn，主要呈現詞匯。第三、四板塊中的句型是每個單元的教學重點。Read and act的任務是培養學生初步的語感、閱讀能力和良好的朗讀習慣。Listen and repeat 是語音訓練板塊。Fun house是一個活動板塊。經過一年半的學習，學生已有一定的英語基礎，渴望通過新學期的學習獲得更多的知識，以豐富自己的交際內容，提高交際能力。本冊教材所涉及的話題內容更豐富，涉及的詞匯和日常交際用語、句型也有所增加。教學時應注意教材前后編排的連續性，以便教學時做到有的放失，把新舊知識結合起來。
