I'M GOING RUNNING TODAY.I am not concerned about my calorie consumption for the day, nor am I anxious to get in shape for the winter season.I just want to go running。

I used to dislike running.“If you don't win this game, you're all running five miles tomorrow,” the field hockey coach used to warn, during those last days of October when the average temperature seemed to be decreasing exponentially.And so, occasionally, my grief-stricken team would run numerous miserable laps around the fields.At the end of these excursions, our faces and limbs would be numb, and we would all have developed those notorious flu-like symptoms;but the running made us better in the long run, I suppose.Nevertheless, I counted down the days until the end of the field hockey season, vowing never to put on a pair of running shoes again.Then I surprised myself by signing up for outdoor track in the second half of sophomore year.I was foolish to have believed that I could ever escape this insidious and magnetic addiction。

第二篇：高中生申請(qǐng)美國大學(xué)方案

方案1：優(yōu)秀學(xué)生直接入讀本科

推薦院校：威斯康星大學(xué)、普渡大學(xué)、明尼蘇達(dá)大學(xué)等

學(xué)生在高二到高三時(shí)考IELTS或TOEFL，條件好的學(xué)生可以再考SAT，高三上學(xué)期時(shí)獲得合格的IELTS或TOEFL成績(jī)，可以直接申請(qǐng)美國大學(xué)本科。一般要求雅思 6.0分，高中三年平均分在80分以上。如果要申請(qǐng)排名前50的名校，要求雅思6.5分以上，高中三年平均分90分。

據(jù)了解，一般來說，每年的9月—12月是申請(qǐng)美國大學(xué)最好的時(shí)機(jī)，申請(qǐng)結(jié)果會(huì)于次年1月至3月間出來。但是本方案對(duì)學(xué)生素質(zhì)要求很高，學(xué)生不僅要有較高的英文水平，還需要有較強(qiáng)的獨(dú)立性。

方案2：無語言成績(jī)可申請(qǐng)雙錄取

推薦院校：圣路易斯大學(xué)、丹佛大學(xué)、塔爾薩大學(xué)、堪薩斯大學(xué)等

“雙錄取”又稱“條件式入學(xué)”，主要是針對(duì)沒有語言成績(jī)或語言成績(jī)暫時(shí)較弱的學(xué)生，學(xué)校會(huì)發(fā)出兩份錄取通知書：校語言中心和該校本科有條件錄取。學(xué)生入學(xué)后，先進(jìn)入語言中心學(xué)習(xí)英語，語言過關(guān)后，無需另行申請(qǐng)，直接進(jìn)入本科學(xué)習(xí)。美國大學(xué)雙錄取項(xiàng)目既保證每一個(gè)符合條件的申請(qǐng)人都能獲得學(xué)習(xí)機(jī)會(huì)，同時(shí)又保證學(xué)校的正常教學(xué)不會(huì)因?qū)W生聽不懂課程而被延誤。

學(xué)生高三下學(xué)期開始申請(qǐng)，高中畢業(yè)后去美國“ESL+大學(xué)”。可以分為兩種情況：第一，申請(qǐng)大學(xué)課程和ESL雙錄取，先在該大學(xué)內(nèi)的語言中心讀完ESL課程，然后直接進(jìn)入該大學(xué)。第二，先赴美在獨(dú)立的語言中心讀完ESL，再考雅思、TOEFL、SAT，然后申請(qǐng)大學(xué)。

隨著通用申請(qǐng)表的改版，不少準(zhǔn)備申請(qǐng)美國大學(xué)的同學(xué)和家長(zhǎng)開始擔(dān)心新政的變化會(huì)給自己的申請(qǐng)帶來影響。

文書申請(qǐng)系統(tǒng)改版從2014秋起，通用申請(qǐng)表（Common Application）對(duì)其申請(qǐng)系統(tǒng)做了全面改版，此次是CA歷史上最大一次改革，對(duì)學(xué)生申請(qǐng)美國本科名校具有非凡指導(dǎo)意義，影響巨大。使用通用申請(qǐng)的學(xué)校增加了33所，它的改革本質(zhì)上更直接更準(zhǔn)確地表達(dá)出美國本科學(xué)校所希望錄取的學(xué)生標(biāo)準(zhǔn)和群體，此次變革主要涉及界面，模塊，內(nèi)容，功能等方面，具體表現(xiàn)為：網(wǎng)申表格部分更新 網(wǎng)申付費(fèi)方式更新
