Elsevier期刊投稿狀態 關于Elsevier旗下期刊投稿概述(1)Elsevier旗下共有1300多種期刊。投稿時采用的是Elsevier Editorial System(EES)投稿系統

(2)審稿時間。通常不會超過半年，如果半年時間到，部分審稿意見沒有返回，期刊社同樣會把已返回的意見返回給你。

(3)版權問題。一般會通過給你發幾個PDF合同，然后你打印出來，用手填寫，然后郵寄或者掃描后通過email發給他們。

(4)投稿模板。通常很多人都會關心這個問題，這是投稿的第一步。但是Elsevier旗下期刊對投稿的模板沒什么要求，只要你比較注意排版，看著舒服就好。至于排版，錄用后他們編輯會排版，然后讓你來校正。建議，投稿時候不要考慮紙張頁數，國外期刊不太關心期刊頁數，只要按他們最后的排版不超過30頁（好像是30頁）一般不會收錢。

(5)如果投稿論文分成幾個部分，在投稿的時候就要分開，按照單獨的論文投稿。不過要在Letter to Editor中要說明這是同一個論文。

(6)Elsevier旗下期刊投稿不收取審稿費，發表也不收取版面費，但超過一定頁數會適當收取費用，如果用彩色印刷，也會收錢，他們不收則以，一收就比較多。

(7)投稿時是否需要把圖片和論文主題分開。這個本來不需要說的，網站上的要求就是如此，需要單獨分開上傳，但是以我的經驗，如果論文圖太多，特別是對于國內的網速慢，上傳很不方便，可以直接把圖放在論文中間，審稿階段不用考慮圖文分開，等錄用后再圖文分開。2 Elsevier投稿狀態總結

(3)With editor 如果在投稿的時候沒有要求選擇編輯，就先到主編那，主編會分派給別的編輯。這當中就會有另兩個狀態：

1)Awaiting Editor Assignment指派責任編輯Editor assigned是把你的文章分給一個編輯處理了。

2)Editor Declined Invitation 也可能編輯會拒絕邀請，這就需要重新指定編輯 3)technical check in progress 檢查你的文章符不符合期刊投稿要求(4)編輯接手處理后也會有2種狀態

1)Decision Letter Being Prepared 就是編輯沒找審稿人就自己決定了 2)Reviewer(s)invited 找到審稿人了，就開始審稿

(5)Under review這應該是一個漫長的等待。當然前面各步驟也可能很慢的，要看編輯的處理情況。如果被邀請審稿人不想審，就會decline，編輯會重新邀請別的審稿人。

(6)Required Reviews Completed 審稿人的意見已上傳，審稿結束，等待編輯決定

(7)Evaluating Recommendation評估審稿人的意見，隨后你將收到編輯給你的decision 8)Minor revision/Major revision這個時候可以稍微慶祝一下了，問題不大了，因為有修改就有可能。

(9)Revision Submitted to Journal.又開始了一個循環。(10)Accepted 文章被接受

現在Elsevier的絕大多數期刊，增加了Technical Checking這一關，由專門的Editorial office來審查論文的語言、格式、排版、圖片等等，也就是說，審查你的投稿是否符合Guide for Authors中的各項要求。

論文投稿之后，狀態是Submitted to Journal，后成為with editor。注意：這里的Editor實際上不是期刊的主編，而是Editorial office里負責論文格式、排版、語言審查的編輯。如果論文通過了技術性審查，狀態重新變為Submitted to Journal，表明論文通過了第一關。之后，如果不出意外，論文狀態將會再次變成With Editor，這里的Editor才是真正的期刊主編。到了這一步，你的論文才會進入under review狀態。需要說明的是，如果你的論文沒通過Technical Checking這一關，你的論文就會退回，要求做格式、語言上的修改，然后鼓勵你再投。

最近在Elsevier的TALANTA投稿，直播一下自己遇到的問題，并與大家分享解決的過程。首先，Elsevier支持完全的在線投稿。

其次，需要現在Elsevier注冊帳戶才能上傳文章。

第三，上傳文章包括上傳作者、題目、摘要、文章類型選擇（全文、簡報等）

投稿上傳的文件中包括cover letter（相當于文章的介紹信）、novelty statement（文章的創新性聲明）、Manuscript（論文正文）、List of Three Potential（Reviewersreviewer suggestions，推薦的審稿人，一般是3個人）、Figure(s)（文中出現的圖）Table(s)（文中出現的表）、Checklist（上傳的文件清單）等幾項，其中前三項必須有，后面幾項可有可無。

第四，上傳完各個文件之后，Elsevier會在線生成一個PDF文檔（也就是你的文章），仔細檢查生成的pdf文檔，包括作者、圖表的順序等 注意事項：

1.關于文中的圖片，不能鑲嵌于正文中（否則在線生成的pdf文檔中會出現兩次的圖片），必須單獨上傳，另外格式僅限于EPS、TIF、JPEG等。

2.添加作者的時候，注意聯系作者默認是第一位，可能需要適當調整。

雜志社對投稿圖片的分辨率通常有如下要求：

TIFF: Colour or greyscale photographs(halftones): always use a minimum of 300 dpi.TIFF: Bitmapped line drawings: use a minimum of 1000 dpi.第一點說的是灰度圖的dpi在至少300dpi以上，比如病理圖片、電泳圖等；

第二點說的是點陣線性圖的分辨率一般在1000dpi以上，比如用excel所作曲線或柱狀圖，chemdraw所畫結構式等。

投稿所遇到的問題：

通常數碼照片的dpi為72 而excel所作圖片的dpi為200 均不能滿足投稿需求，因此要更改dpi 設置

解決方法：

在photoshop新建一個 A4格式的圖片，在圖片大小選項中將分辨率選為雜志所需的分辨率（比如1000ppi，這里可能又涉及到一個ppi和dpi的概念，其實你不用多管，簡單說來，一個相當于電腦屏幕的輸出(ppi)，一個相當于打印機的輸出(dpi)，你只要ppi設為1000，打印的分辨率就為1000dpi，兩者在數值上是等量的）。將excel或照片直接粘貼到新建圖層中（注意，這是的圖片顯示的可能會很小），將圖片放大到適合觀看的大小，剪切所需區域，如果雜志社對圖片大小有要求可以通過圖片大小選項設定（例如 5cm*3cm），保存為tiff格式，將保存layer前的對鉤去掉，確定，采用LZW壓縮，確定，即可。這樣保存的圖片大約為200k.dpi增大的優點：

通常我們用excel作的圖貼到word或直接保存為圖片，會發現，圖片縮小會比較清初，但是放大后遍模糊

將 dpi增大后,雖然縮小圖片感覺不如直接保存清初,但是你放大很多倍后圖像仍清晰

以上是在LaoLang_cool戰友的幫助下完成dpi修改過程中的一些體會，整理出來供大家分享。

如果原圖是用“Origin”做的曲線圖，按照要求“1200 dpi(dots per inch)for black and white line art(simple bar graphs, charts, etc.)”的要求修改過程如下：

（1）將所做的圖用程序“Origin”（如OriginPro 7.5）打開;

（2）點擊菜單”File”

“Export Page..”

在“保存類型”中選“Tag Image File(*.tif)”，同時在 “Show Image Options”前打勾，確定“保存”；

(3)在TIFF Options窗口中，“DIP” 設為1200；“Color Depth” 選Monochrome;“Compression” 選LZW，最后點擊“OK”即可。

（4）將所得的TIF格式圖片用Photoshop打開，在菜單“圖像”，“圖像大小”中確認 “分辨率”為1200象素/英寸，將“寬度”設定為6000像素左右；點擊“好”。

（5）“文件”，“存儲為”，“格式”選為“TIFF”，”保存“；在”圖像壓縮“中選”LZW“;點擊”好“；就可獲得滿足雜志要求的圖片了！

如果圖片是JPG等照片，如電鏡照片等，300 dpi for halftones(black and white photographs)

600 dpi for combination halftones(photographs that also contain line art such as labeling or thin lines)

按照上面的任一個要求，處理如下：

（1）圖片用Photoshop打開，在菜單“圖像”中的 “圖像模式” 中選擇“灰度”（用于黑白圖片）或者“CMYK”（用于彩色圖片）

（2）在“圖像”中的“圖像大小”設定“分辨率”為600（或300）象素/英寸，將“寬度”設定為3000像素左右；點擊“好”。

（3）“文件”

“存儲為”

“格式”選為“TIFF”

”保存“；在”圖像壓縮“中選”LZW“;點擊”好“；就可獲得滿足雜志要求的圖片了！

科技寫作漫談：投稿信(cover letter)的寫作

投稿信(cover letter)中應包括的內容

投稿信有助于稿件被送到合適的編輯(對于多編輯的期刊而言)或可能的評審人手中.沒有投稿信的稿件可能會給編輯造成一些困惑: 如: 這篇稿件是投給哪種刊物的? 何種欄目? 是新稿還是修改稿? 如果是修改稿的話, 是哪位編輯負責的? 如果這篇稿件有多位作者的話, 哪一位是通訊作者? 其聯系地址是哪一個? 等等.為節省編輯的時間, 投稿信要盡量寫得簡短明了、重點突出, 最好不要超過一頁.其中包括的內容大致有:

(1)所投稿件的欄目類型;有些期刊在作者須知中還鼓勵或建議作者在投稿信中提供合適的審稿人或提出需回避的審稿人.(2)如果稿件是系列論文中的一篇, 或者與以前發表的文章有密切關系, 投稿信中要提及這方面的內容(包括刊名、文章題名、發表時間等), 必要時, 還需附上發表過的論文, 以免編輯或審稿人發生誤解.(3)不可遺漏期刊所要求的有關說明或聲明, 如果需要事先與編輯說明有關文稿學術意義或其他細節問題(如有關圖表的制作軟件等), 也須在投稿信中交代清楚.對于高度綜合性的刊物(如Nature, Science)或本領域的頂尖期刊, 在投稿信中最好簡要說明一下稿件的廣泛興趣性或重要性, 以及為什么要給該刊投稿.(4)通訊作者和詳細的聯系地址尤其重要, 通訊作者還應將其電話號碼、E-mail地址和傳真號碼列在投稿信或稿件的題名頁(首頁)中.如何推薦審稿人？

應盡量推薦對稿件主題比較熟悉的小同行作為審稿人, 以下群體的同行通常可以作為審稿人推薦:(1)稿件中參考文獻的作者;(2)擬投稿期刊的編委;(3)重要的研究群體或個人: 如: 就職于期刊主辦單位的科研人員, 經常在擬投稿期刊發表論文的作者, 在本領域具較高知名度的學者, 等等.投稿信: 實例簡析

簡 析: 該類投稿信適用于對投稿沒有具體要求或規定的期刊, 因而其內容比較簡單, 主要作用有:(1)聲明稿件內容不曾公開發表;(2)提供作者的通信地址、電話、傳真、E-mail信箱等.
