Indeed, there are still many people believe that boys perform better in science and sports, and that boys are more likely to become leaders.However, I've been striving to show my objection.When I was in the track varsity in elementary school, I insisted to do the same amount of exercises as boys did.And when practicing on the track, I asked my coach to allow me to compete with boys.When later entering the high school, I was selected as one of the twenty girls in the best accelerated science class.And in 10th grades, I set up a new literary magazine which has been thriving till today.I proved my beliefs through all my honors and accomplishments.Yes, women can do anything.When I read those words, I felt the jubilant resonance in my heart and believed this MHC is just the place I want to go.Reading about the “Ten Brilliant Reasons to Choose Mount Holyoke”, I was impressed by all of those successful women---from the CEO to the chemist and to the playwright---each of whom believes she can make a difference in the world.For me, setting up an international media company has long been my dream.Though my family and friends said it would be very difficult and nearly impossible, I will still dream for it and go for it, and just as Mary Lyon, the founder of MHC, said and did---“go where no one else will”.I wish one day I shall embrace to be embraced by the community of MHC;I wish to study, to live and to perceive the world with all the intelligent and aspired girls who dare to dream and strive for their dreams just like me.

1)村基本情況：

平陽縣鰲江鎮(zhèn)荷蓮村，地處104國道北側(cè)，村域面積3.996平方公里,其中耕地面積350畝，河流面積3.33平方公里。本村總戶數(shù)468戶，總?cè)丝跒?065人，（其中，本村村民280戶，870人，外地常住人口188戶，1195人）。本村村民主要從事農(nóng)業(yè)生產(chǎn)，也有相當一部分人在附近工廠上班。荷蓮村有一定的村集體經(jīng)濟，2007年村集體收入約30萬，主要來源于兩方面，一是村自建自來水塔，引山水入村，共收管理費20萬，二是成立搬運組，搬運年收入約10萬。荷蓮村有低保戶4名，困難戶6戶,無困難黨員。村民年平均收入7000元，村固定資產(chǎn)500萬元。2006年6月到2007年，村建設(shè)通村公路硬化道路7000平方米，綠化建設(shè)4000平方米，修建護欄550米，河坎600米，增加路燈30盞，村現(xiàn)有乒乓球場、籃球場，露天健身器材健身場所3處。
