2014年11月2日下午，象征清華最高榮譽的2014本科生特等獎學金答辯會在清華大學上演，一名大四學生展示的成績單震驚四座，贏得一陣掌聲，20門學科，除了1門98分、4門99分之外，其他學科都是滿分。成績單被傳到網上后引起轟動，網友們紛紛膜拜，稱這位大四學生是“清華學神”。

這名大四學生叫韓衍雋，是2011年安徽省高考理科總分第一名。

美國斯坦福大學一位終身教授評價道：韓衍雋已經超出了至今為止我對斯坦福大學里最優秀的高年級博士生的預期。

他高中時的班主任老師說，這個學生最主要的特點是做事情非常有規劃性。“比如什么時候吃飯、什么時候洗衣服、什么時候學習哪門課，什么時候學到哪一步，他都有規劃。他的自我管理能力特別強。”了解他的朋友也認為，韓衍雋的強大來自他極強的自我管理能力。聽到這，大家可能已經猜到我今天演講的主題了，沒錯，是自我管理能力。

顧名思義，自我管理能力是指人依靠主觀能動性按照目標，有意識、有目的地對自己的思想、行為進行轉化或控制的能力。

可能在座的各位大多數會出現這樣的情況：在學校的時候本打算回到家里這樣，而真正回到家之后卻這樣，或者這樣，那么比較不幸，你的自我管理能力還有待提高。不過請不要擔心，相信今天的演講會對你有所幫助。

為什么有些人可以干什么像什么，樣樣精通；而有些人看起來忙忙碌碌卻無所作為。其中最大的秘密就在于自我管理。那些所謂的“通才”、“天才”其實并沒有那么神，他們只是擁有了非常高的自我管理能力，從而對自己進行精確地管理來讓自己的產能效率最大化。那么，我們該如何提高自我管理能力呢？ 首先，立即行動

這聽起來很簡單，可研究表明，開始著手做一件事是非常困難的，因為在開始做一件事之前，大腦會可視化其中最困難的部分，然后讓我們去做一些輕松的事而不是去模擬真實的工作。大家可能都會有這樣的感覺，自己在家學習時，如果不把書本翻開，學進去的話，我們總想拿出手機看看，即使沒什么可看的了，也不愿意去學。這就是“開始效應”在作怪，這時唯一需要的就是，立即行動，進入學習狀態。因為慶幸的是，我們的大腦有一個被稱為“蔡格尼克效應”的構造，它會迫使人們完成已經開始了的工作。蔡格尼克效應表明，當我們沒有完成已經開始了的任務時我們就會經歷不適和入侵性的想法，這種想法會迫使我們完成任務。所以，想要完成任務，那就立即行動。2.列出計劃。

在執行一系列任務時，我們經常會對任務毫無概念，手忙腳亂，這時如果沒有一個明確合理的計劃，那么我們很容易會對沒有完成的任務產生厭倦的心理，從而使我們分心，降低我們的效率。所以，列出計劃，是自我管理的第一步。這是清華姐妹花之一馬冬晗的計劃表。有人評價：她比國家領導人還忙啊！當然，我們大可不必這樣費心，一個簡單的計劃就好。雖說簡單，但至少應該包括兩方面，一是任務形式，就是你要做什么。二是限制時間，在多長時間內完成這項任務。如果想要再完善的話，還應該有第三方面：總結和反思。打個比方，每天晚自習上課之前，五點25左右，我們完全可以坐下來，拿出記作業本開始列出今天晚自習的學習計劃：比如??其中最關鍵的環節是時間限制，預計在多長時間內可以完成就大膽在計劃中列出來，如果提前完成了當然可以將計劃整體向前推進；如果某一項或某幾項任務沒有在規定時間內完成，也不要拖延計劃。時間到了就立即停止，未完成的等待空余時間再完成。這樣每天的訓練對我們提升自我管理能力，提高學習效率非常有幫助。另外提一下總結和反思：

3.專注

關于這點，我們首先得明白，其實人的意志力是有限的，事實上，一些研究認為，意志力是一項非再生能源，而且會被徹底用光，這個概念也稱“自我損耗”。所以如何合理地分配這項資源決定了你自我管理的效果。我們都知道福爾摩斯有一個特點，他有著超強的觀察能力和無比豐富的有助于偵破案件的知識儲備，并且還精于他的業余愛好小提琴。可是對于天文等知識他卻一竅不通也不想通。這就是福爾摩斯智慧的體現，他知道自己只能夠涉獵有限的領域才能在該領域達到一定的高度，如果他樣樣都想通，那么結果只會是樣樣都松。所以，在一段時間甚至一生只專注某幾個領域是自我管理的一個不錯的選擇。當然，嘗試和體驗是不可或缺的，但是專注于某一階段的主業永遠是王道。這是宏觀上的專注；那么微觀上的專注就是拒絕“多任務處理”。打個比方，如果我想學習，那么在一段時間里我只能想著學習，而不是一邊上社交網站，一邊想著足球，一邊寫作業。

4.有規律的作息。

其實仔細想一下，學校教給我們的不僅僅是知識和做人，它更多的是在暗示我們要形成健康規律的作息習慣。為什么有些同學抱怨一個假期就胖了十多斤，根本就在于假期里他沒有一個健康規律的作息習慣，每天晚睡晚起，白天渾渾噩噩。相反在學校，每天強迫著你做操跑步，還能好一些。但離開二中，以后步入大學校園，更以后參加工作，沒人會逼著你每天適當的鍛煉身體，到那時，你的自我管理能力將決定著你的健康程度和生活質量，也間接地決定了你的工作水平和創造社會財富的能力。

What is the ideal family size? According to a new Gallup poll, Americans increasingly prefer to have small families of two or fewer children.Some 58% of U.S.adults say that having no more than two children is optimal for a family, up from 53% in 2004.Only about a third of adults favor having three or more children the lowest percentage since 1996.Gallup says that persistent economic problems in recent years may be a reason why smaller families are in favor.Americans didn't always prefer small families.Gallup has been polling Americans on family size since 1936, when about two-thirds of families thought having three or more kids was best.That percentage jumped to 77% by the end of World War II and stayed at about 70% through the late 60s, Gallup says.By 1977, though, the majority of Americans said they preferred to have no more than two children.(Here's a chart showing Americans shifting views of family size over the decades.)

Gallup found that men and women tend to agree on ideal family size.The poll also found no major generational gaps in opinions on family size.The survey, however, did find income differences: Families earning at least $75,000 annually were more likely to favor small families than adults in lower-income households.(Gallup also found that a greater number of Democrats than Republicans preferred smaller families.)

Extended Family

In 1996, 21% of all people were living as a part of an extended family.An extended family is two or more adults from different generations of a family, who share a household.It consists of more than parents and children;it may be a family that includes parents, children, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, foster children etc.The extended family may live together for many reasons, help raise children, support for an ill relative, or help with financial problems.Sometimes children are raised by their grandparents when their biological parents have died or no longer can take care of them.Many grandparents take some primary responsibility for child care, particularly when both parents work.Extended families can be found all over the world in different communities and countries.The number of these families has increased by 40 percent in the past ten years.There are three types of extended families;they are one generation, two generation and three generation families.Forty eight percent of all extended families live in a two generation family.Most Canadian seniors live in an extended family, often with a son or a daughter.It is more likely for a nuclear family to become an extended family than any other family type.Nuclear Family

53.7% of Canadians live in two parent, or nuclear families.A nuclear family consists of a mother, father, and their biological or adoptive descendants, often called the traditional family.The nuclear family was most popular in the 1950s and 60s.The nuclear family can be a nurturing environment in which to raise children as long as there is love, time spent with children, emotional support, low stress, and a stable economic environment.In nuclear families, both adults are the biological or adoptive parents of their children.There are three types of married nuclear families depending on employment status of the woman and man.In the first type, the man works outside the home while the woman works inside the home caring for the children.28 percent of all households fit this description.In the second type of married nuclear family, the woman works outside the home and the man cares for the children.This constitutes 2 percent of the families in this country.In the third kind of married nuclear family, both the wife and the husband work outside the home or are income providers.In some situations, the woman might have a home-based business, such as a day care center.Nearly 60 percent of women with children under the age of six were in the workforce during the past decade.Single Parent Family

One of the most striking changes in family structure over the last twenty years has been the increase of single parent families.In this family there is only one parent in the household raising the children.Due to high divorce rates and adults choosing not to marry, this is currently the fastest growing family form in North America.More than half of all children will spend some of their lives in a single-parent family.Currently, 88 percent of these families are headed by women.In 1970, the number of single parent families with children under the age of 18 was 3.8 million;by 1990 the number had more than doubled to 9.7 million.For the first time in history, children are most likely to live in a single parent family for reasons other than the death of a parent.One in four children are born with their mothers not married, usually teenage mothers.One of the most expensive things for a single parent is child care.Too often children living in single parent households have to contend with negative stereotypes and hurtful remarks made by insensitive adults.Regardless of whether the single parent family exists as result of divorce or death of the other parent, or the parent choosing not to marry, the child is clearly not responsible for the circumstances.However, it is often the child who pays the price.On the other hand, single families often have less tension compared to the tension in families before divorce.With reduced tension, the single parent can focus more clearly on the child’s needs.Usually parents and children are more willing to co-operate with each other to find solutions to solve household problems in single parent families.Childless Family

Voluntary childless marriages are uncommon but increasing.By 1990抯 marriages were more than 30% childless.There was a great shift in the proportion in the last 10 years of married people deciding not to have any children.Childless families outnumber families with children for the first time in history.For the first time in decades there are more North American families without children in the home than with them.In 1991, 51.1% of family households had no one under 18.In Japan, childless families accounted for 65 percent of all families in its 1993 basic survey on national life.The increase is due to the aging of the population and to more and more couples deciding not to have children.Families without children at home have different interests, more free time and often greater financial resources than couples with children.A childless family is simply a group of people from all kinds of backgrounds and all walks of life who, for whatever reason, have never had children.Most have thought long and hard about parenthood and many have concluded(for various reasons)that it really wasn't right for them, while some are still in the decision-making process.Still others will probably have children at sometime in the future, but aren't ready just yet(even though all of their other friends are having theirs now and are urging them to catch up), and some wanted to have children but were unable to because of a variety of social and/or biological forces that interfere and result in unplanned childlessness.Many childless families choose not to have children because they concentrate on their careers, or like to travel.To replace children, childless families usually have pets instead.The Nuclear Family The terms, father, mother, brother, sister, refer to certain positions in the family group.These positions are made obvious by the way the people who occupy them behave.For example, a mother looks after her baby, and a husband and wife show affection towards one another.These positions are called social statuses and “social roles” are the patterns of behaviour that we expect from a person occupying a particular social status.The sexual and social roles of husband and wife are often described as conjugal roles.The family takes many forms in society, most fundamental of which is the nuclear family(sometimes also called the conjugal family).Change in Family Structures – Historical Overview

Family systems, like biological organisms, evolve with time and circumstance.Before the industrial revolution, it was assumed that families were close knit in terms of social duties and obligations to relatives and were extended.As people migrated to the newly developing towns to find work in the new factories, they would go and live with family members who were already there.One effect of the industrial revolution in the early days was to extend the family.There was no welfare state to rely on in those days.The modern family type was the ‘isolated nuclear family’.Families in the past were extended and networked in terms of social obligations.The extent to which families today are ‘isolated’ and not networked to other relatives in terms of social obligations has been questioned.During 1970, Young and Willmott argued that the family had become more democratic they also referred to them as ‘privatised’ nuclear family that is similar to Parsons ‘isolated’ nuclear family.The trend was to look at how ‘isolated’ or privatised modern nuclear families really were.It was argued that they weren’t so nuclear and isolated as some suggested.Although families lived geographically separate from their relatives.They still kept in regular contact with their relatives through visits and the telephone etc, and relied on them for support in times of need etcNancy Mitford Pearl S.Buck criticized current system on part of emotional security aspects.He said “ The lack of emotional security of our American young people is due, I believe, to their isolation from the larger family unit.No two peopleas I have often said, are enough to provide emotional security for a child.He needs to feel himself one in a world of kinfolk, persons of variety in age and temperament, and yet allied to himself by an indissoluble bond which he cannot break if he could, for nature has welded him into it before he was born.”
