拜托！中國與虐待動物有關的問題夠多的了，不需要任何類似西班牙斗牛、日本鯨魚肉和加拿大海豹制品之類的“外援”。如果又以老掉牙的“文化傳統”來忽悠人那還是趁早歇了吧，將心比心，要不要我們把活熊取膽、吃貓吃狗的“傳統”也輸入到你們那疙瘩去試試？！我們需要引進的是與時俱進、真正造福于千秋萬代、所有生命共同體共享的世界文明的優秀成果，而不是類似加拿大海豹

制品這樣的血腥產品。

但凡需要被保護的注定都是境況堪憂的弱者。被愛稱為“大眼睛的海洋精靈”的海洋哺乳動物“海豹分布在全球各處海域，也出現在神秘的貝加爾湖。它們在陸地上憨態可掬，在水中卻優雅自如；它們和人類擁有相近的體溫，卻將極地的嚴寒視若等閑。盡管擁有強大的生存能力和惹人憐愛的外表，它們卻不能幸免于全球變暖和海洋污染的威脅，更不能逃離人類逐利的棍棒和槍口。為了保護它們，人們把每年的3月1日定為‘國際海豹日’”。這是一段在介紹海豹及國際海豹日時經常被人引用的文字。

讓我們看看獵殺海豹是怎樣一個營生吧。目前，全世界共有五個國家允許商業海豹獵殺，它們分別是加拿大、格陵蘭島、納米比亞、挪威和俄羅斯。每年商業捕殺約30萬只海豹的加拿大居世界之首，該國政府支持這一捕殺行動。近三年，加拿大獵殺了近100萬頭海豹。動物保護組織稱，這意味著每出生3頭海豹就有至少1頭被殺。一年一度的海豹捕殺場面極為血腥。為了完整地剝下海豹皮賣個好價錢，許多海豹被頂端帶有尖鉤的棍棒活活打死，接近一半的海豹仍在清醒狀態即被扒皮。海豹們遭棒打或槍擊后不會馬上死亡，而是承受著巨大痛苦慢慢死去。如果被殺的是母海豹則當場開膛剝皮、剝剩的血肉棄于原地。如是公海豹則用鐵鉤穿過腦袋上的窟窿拖到漁船上送進加工廠加工。如果這還不夠慘，那么還有一個更令人觸目驚心的事實是，被殘殺的海豹中有80%是處于12天至1歲的幼年海豹-那些混沌未開、還沒來得對這個世界說聲“你好！”的毛茸茸、大眼睛的小天使們。近年來那些“聰明的腦瓜”

針對東方市場又想出了從海豹身上賺錢的新門路，那就是所謂的海豹鞭市場。其獵取手段也更加殘忍——活生生地將雄海豹的生殖器用斧頭剁下然后棄之如敝履。

在物質嚴重匱乏的年代，海豹曾因“渾身是寶”而使獵殺海豹在該國東海岸地區成為一項“傳統產業”。而今加拿大早已步入最發達國家之列，獵殺海豹所獲得的收益不及主要獵殺區紐芬蘭省財政總收入的1%、漁業總收入的1.2%（美國人道對待動物協會和國際愛護動物基金會2005年數據）。根據加拿大政府網站公布的數據，2009年的商業海豹獵殺所帶來的經濟效益不足100萬歐元。絕大部分加拿大人對此持反對態度，2005年的民意調查結果顯示，69%的加拿大人反對商業海豹獵殺，而77%的人反對政府資助海豹獵殺。“海豹捕獵的最大受益者是部分政客，他們利用海豹貿易來贏得加拿大東部（主要是指紐芬蘭省）的選票。”

對于這一堪稱“當今世界上對于海洋哺乳動物最大規模的血腥屠殺”，全球各地的反對之聲一浪高過一浪。經過國際動物權益組織數年的呼吁，2009年5月5日，歐洲議會以壓倒性多數通過了一項法案，在歐盟范圍內全面禁止進口海豹制品，其中包括海豹毛皮、海豹油及其所有相關產品，并于去年8月正式對27個會員國執行禁令。此舉使得全球各地的眾多消費者也紛紛開始拒買海豹皮制品，導致該國出產的海豹皮制品滯銷，價格也隨之大跌。一張海豹皮的價格若干年前為100多美元，目前已跌至14美元。各界有識之士強烈呼吁在全球范圍內關閉海豹制品的消費市場，“這樣就可以從源頭上結束海豹制品貿易。”

面對歐洲、美國和全球各地的抵制浪潮，加國主管部門垂死掙扎，想出各種餿招。2010年03月12日晚，央視“東方時空”播出了題為“加拿大抗議歐盟禁令 國會辦‘海豹宴’”的新聞。其中一個長著“標準鞋拔子臉”的男政客將一塊海豹肉塞進嘴里大嚼，還夸張地閉上眼睛作出“好吃極了”的手勢，那副嘴臉著實令人作嘔，難怪被用作該條新聞的題圖照片。為了“維持加拿大海豹皮業的生機”，世界最大的毛皮產品生產國和出口國、世界裘革最具潛力的消費市場中國被該國聯邦漁業部長舍雅(Gail Shea)鎖定為救市出路，咱們中國何其“有幸”！

雖然有地方政府和企業的支持（項目的合作方是我們這個共和國首都的懷柔區），西班牙斗牛項目二度在國內外的反對聲浪中告吹；日本人似乎也未能成功地向中國人推銷據說是高蛋白低脂肪的鯨魚肉。現在，輪到我們在海豹制品問題上作出取舍了。

沒有買賣，就沒有殺戮。

該是結束這一殘忍而過時的產業的時候了。
