是她的本色，責(zé)任與使命是她的原則。在生活上，她默默無聞地奉獻(xiàn)著，對待年輕教師，她像對待自己的孩子一樣鼓勵、鞭策和幫助著。在工作上，她又孜孜不倦地追求著，為了訓(xùn)練百人鼓號隊(duì)，她在做切除聲帶小結(jié)的當(dāng)天就回到校操場；為更好地完成“服裝設(shè)計(jì)”活動，她幾乎跑遍全城縫紉店找碎布；為做好婦女帶頭工作，她將52 年從未上過臺的丈夫拉上了“家庭才藝展”的舞臺……

“一部停不下來的機(jī)器”，是周老師的真實(shí)寫照。她每天在校工作時(shí)間長達(dá)12至14個(gè)小時(shí)。常年超負(fù)荷工作使她身患多種慢性病，多次膽闌炎發(fā)作，晚上病痛而徹夜難眠，但她以頑強(qiáng)的毅力坦然面對病痛折磨，在病情稍有緩和的情況下，第二天，仍然帶病堅(jiān)持工作。有一次，周老師在訓(xùn)練學(xué)生演講時(shí)，因過度勞累和腰疼，身體突然失去平衡，重重地摔倒在椅子上，臉色慘白，汗水淋漓，但她仍堅(jiān)持坐起身，繼續(xù)用沙啞的聲音操練學(xué)生。周老師就是這樣，累倒

了，爬起來；累倒了，再爬起來，卻從來沒有誤過孩子們一天的訓(xùn)練。

“一切為了學(xué)生，為了一切學(xué)生，為了學(xué)生一切。”周老師如是說，可有誰知道要這個(gè)“為了”她的付出有多大，請聽她女兒是怎么說的：“媽媽，你對我太不公平了，你可以給別的孩子那么多時(shí)間，那么多愛，為什么就不能給我一點(diǎn)愛，我是您的親女兒呀！”是的，自己欠親人的確太多，在家庭最需要關(guān)照、女兒最需要關(guān)愛時(shí)，她卻把感情的天平傾向了事業(yè)。1982年，周老師在市公安局工作的小弟在一次追捕犯人時(shí)光榮犧牲，母親在遭受這個(gè)打擊后癱瘓?jiān)诖病Ｖ芾蠋熗砩暇偷结t(yī)院給母親洗尿布、舂米粉，天亮照常上班。直到五年后，母親也面帶微笑躺在她懷里安詳?shù)碾x去。送走母親后，她強(qiáng)忍心中的悲傷，又投入緊張的工作中，看著她那布滿血絲的雙眼和憔悴不堪的樣子，大弟心痛的說：“姐，你這是何苦呢？教好的是別人的孩子，可累壞的是你的身子啊！”她只笑了

笑，可誰也沒想到，這句關(guān)愛的話語竟成了姐弟間最后的告別。1997年，因積勞成疾，大弟也悄然的離開了人世，此時(shí)，年邁的父親再也經(jīng)不住這個(gè)沉重的打擊也癱病在床，為了不讓老人傷心，她強(qiáng)忍心中的悲痛，再次挑起了照顧老人的重任，白天的她在學(xué)校，晚上的她在醫(yī)院，不足四個(gè)小時(shí)的睡眠使她眼中布滿了血絲，人也疲憊不堪，最后，過度的勞累和沉重的打擊使她終于病倒了，但她仍一邊輸液，一邊工作，一邊照顧老人，看著她那疲憊的身軀，年邁的父親再也忍不住流下了眼淚，說：“建波，你去找醫(yī)生給我打一針安樂針，讓我走吧，我走了，你才能輕裝上陣，安心工作，自古忠孝不能兩全，爸爸不會怪你的”。那天他們父女在醫(yī)院抱頭痛哭，可第二天一早，她擦干眼淚后把父親交給保姆照看，自己又全心地投入到了工作中。

就這樣三十多年來，周建波老師以校為家，公而忘私，任勞任怨，一心撲
