寫人，如果從一個側面去描寫，人物形象往往單薄。如果從多個側面去描寫，人物形象就容易豐滿。多側面地描寫人物形象，這個“側面”的選擇不是隨心所欲的，而是從眾多的材料中選擇整理出各具代表性的若干側面，分工而又合作地表現人物形象。

通過多側面描寫來豐滿人物形象，我們可以稱它是“眾星拱月”。“月”就是人物，“星”就是側面，“拱”就是多側面展示人物形象的過程。不過應該看到，“眾星拱月”的“眾星”也不是平分秋色的，它們之間也有主次、詳略的區別。所以在寫“眾星”的時候，是沒有必要平均使用力量的。

寫一群人，比寫一個人、兩個人難一些，難就難在要通過一定的材料組織，巧妙地將一群人凝聚在一起，從而反映各自的思想、性格、面貌。那么，怎樣組織材料才能把一群人凝聚在一起呢？應該抓住貫串各個人物之間的線索。寫人物群像，是不是每個人在文章中所占據的位置都一樣呢？不是的。在一群人中，有的在文章中擔任“主角”，有的在文章中擔任“配角”，誰主誰次，是根據表現文章中心思想的需要來決定的。

因此，同學們在有了寫人的材料以后，就應該進一步考慮它的結構。寫人的結構方式主要有以下兩種： 第一種，總分總式。

這是最常見最樸素的寫人結構。它的特點是有一個點明題意的開頭（A），簡潔醒目，作為文章的總起部分。主干部（B、C、D）也可以說是文章的分述部分，它的幾段互相獨立，從不同的角度表達中心，在編排先后的次序上還需要有一定的斟酌。結尾E是文章的總結部分，它不僅是D的自然過渡，而且常常是對B、C、D的歸納小結，又是對A的照應。

第二種，逐層進入式。

這種結構方式適用于用一件事寫人。它的特點是：第一層次A，寫事情的起因；第二層次B，寫事情的發展；第三層次C，寫事情的高潮；第四層次D，寫事情的結局。文章的二三層次是全文的靈魂和力量所在。這兩個層次寫得好，常常可以使文章內容豐富起來。根據表達的需要，描寫人物的外貌

對人物的容貌、身材、衣著和表情的描寫，叫做外貌描寫。我們有的同學一寫到以記人為主的作文時，往往是作這樣的描寫：高高的個子，大大的眼睛，目光炯炯有神……好像天下的人都是一個模樣。其實，世界上的人有千千萬萬，沒有完全相同的外貌。關鍵的問題是沒有根據表達的需要，去描寫人物的外貌。怎樣根據表達的需要去描寫人物的外貌呢？

在手的世界中，有勤勞的手，懶惰的手，致富的手，靈巧的手，然而，我寫的卻是媽媽一雙勤勞的手。她的手不怎么大，長期的勞動使繭皮爬上了手指，使手背上長了一層淺黑色的皮。

當雞叫三遍的時候，媽媽的手已經開始工作了：忙著做早點。臨近中午，她的手又工作了：忙著做午飯。下午，她的手又開始工作了：忙著做晚飯。夜晚，當明月高懸的時候，媽媽的手又工作了：忙著洗衣服。總之，媽媽的手時時刻刻工作著。

媽媽的手既是勤勞的手，又是充滿母愛的手。記得一個寒冬的下午，天氣比較冷。我在做作業，媽媽在做針線活。
