Hello, everybody! I'm light Hao, year old, I was April 30, born. I long not too high, but also not too short. 高考英語口試是針對有意愿報考與外語、涉外等專業有關的考生所設的考試,并非面向全體考生。高校招生工作過程中,也僅是把其當作參考成績。因此在平時的教學中,并未得到老師及學生足夠的重視。考生對之知之甚少。甚至許多老師也對其不甚了了。本文僅以筆者高考口試考官的經歷,對高考英語口試做一個較為全面的介紹,并提出幾點重要的注意事項及相應教學、學習建議。
考試步驟:
高考英語口試主要由兩個步驟組成:1,朗讀短文;2,回答問題。
一,考試前半個小時,考生需到各自考試候考室候考,并抽簽決定考試順序。未到本人考試順序,不得離開候考室;考試結束后,不得重回候考室。這是為了避免考試內容被傳遞給未考考生。
二,進入考試室。當前一考生考完離場,后一考生將緊接著進入考試室。進入考試室后,可以用英語和考試老師進行適當的問候。如:”Good morning / afternoon.” “Hello!”等。但建議不應過于熱情或過于正式。如,”It’s my great honor to be here today.”之類的話語并不合適。
三,朗讀短文。進入考試室之后,將會由三位考官中的一位拿出分別寫有一篇120 – 200詞的短文的三張試卷讓考生抽取其中一份。考生抽取完考題之后,可以坐到考生座位上,并默讀短文一分鐘做準備。在考試過程中,有不少考生對這一步驟很茫然,不知道該做什么。更多的考生則沒有好好利用這一分鐘的準備時間。倉促間就開始朗讀。建議考生應當事先了解考試步驟,做好準備。老師也應當做適當的考前指導。
四,回答問題。一般情況下,朗讀短文時,不需要考生將全文從頭到尾朗讀一遍。主考官會在他認為合適的時候示意考生停止。這時,進入了回答問題的階段。這時主考官將會口頭提問1-3個問題。考生應當根據實際情況作答。考官將根據考生回答的情況決定提問的問題的數量及順序。之后教官將示意考生考試結束。
至此,該生口語測試全部結束,考生應離開考試室、考點。了解考試步驟有助于考生做好充分的心理準備,從容應對,不至于在考試過程中匆忙應考,造成不必要的緊張;有利于考生真實口語水平的發揮。
考試內容:
考試內容由兩部分組成:1,短文;2,問題。
一,短文。在短文朗讀過程中,將著重考查考生的語音、語調、流利度、重讀、意群、連讀、節奏等基本的語音技能。所以在短文中將會出現較多的插入語、從句(名詞從句、定語從句、狀語從句)、直接引語等內容。例如:“’Yes, you became ill in the red room, but you’ll get better, don’t worry, Miss Jane,’ she answered.”,“As we pass along the hill called the White Horse hill we look down on a little village called Kingston Lisle.”,“ I still remember my first visit to their house in the street where the oldest and richest families lived.”。同時,文章中還會出現若干個非常見人名、地名,以考查考生對英語拼寫、發音規則的掌握情況。如:Bessie, Lloyd, Maria, Frankenstein,Kingston,等等。
二,問題。問題將由教官口頭提出。考生將見不到考題的文字。這也是同時在考查考生的聽力能力。畢竟,聽、說不分家。考生如果沒有聽清問題,可以請考官重復問題。比如,考生可以說:“I beg your pardon?”聽清楚之后,如果需要做思考再回答的,可以說:“Let me think it over for a second.”并作短暫思考。回答問題過程中,最重要的是要注意:這是在“對話”。所以,不要照本宣科,背誦之前準備好的內容。也因為這是在交際過程中。所以,思考過程中的思維流停頓、反復,是可以被接受的。同時,口頭交際中常出現的語音詞、銜接語也是可以,并應該適當使用的。如:“Mmm”,“I say,”,“well”等。
回答問題時,往往需要考生進行適當的解說,而不是只回答問題本身。這才能達到交際的目的。比如,當考生聽到,“Who is your favorite English teacher?”時,應根據實際情況回答,并簡要說明原因。而不是只回答出英語老師的名字。
根據實際情況回答,將有助于考生表達出真實的情感,更好地達到交際的目的。
考試內容出處:
短文主要是節選于適合于中學生水平的英語文章或小說中。基本上都是記敘文體。故事性強,所用詞匯多已為中學生所基本熟悉,句子結構也適中。適宜考生發揮。
問題都是有關考生個人學習、生活的問題,主要涉及以下幾個方面:
1,學校生活:
Can you say something about your learning habits?
Can you say something about your school life?
Can you say something about your senior school?
What kind of school activities do you like best? Why?
2,家庭生活:
Can you tell us something about one of the members in your family?
Can you say something about your family?
What birthday present will you give to the members of your family? Why?
3,人際關系:
Can you say something about one of your classmates?
Who is your favorite English teacher? Why?
Do you like helping other? Why/why not?
4,個人興趣愛好:
Which film star do you like best? Why?
Do you like watching movies in your spare time? Why/why not?
What animal do you like best? Why?
5,其它:
What’s the date today?
Do you like to study in a university in our province? Why/why not?
值得注意的是,其中有許多問題都緊跟著“Why / why not?”。也正如上文所述,考生應當對自己的回答作適當的解說,以支持自己的觀點。例如:當回答“What do you usually do in your spare time?”時,考生回答:”Playing basketball.”那么考生應繼續說明為什么,如:“as I like basketball very much.”或“Playing basketball can not only build up my body but also develop my character.And I can learn team spirit as well.”再如:考生回答“Who is your favorite English teacher?”時,可以回答,“I like Miss Wu bets.In her class, I learnt a lot of useful things in interesting ways.And she is very kind, and helpful.She comes to my help whenever I am in trouble.”
總的說來,高考英語口試主要是為了高校相關專業錄取考生時提供考生英語朗讀及聽說方面的參考依據。它主要通過朗讀和問答的方式考查考生英語的語音、語調和用英語交際的流利度及有效性。就中國中學生學英語的實際情況,筆者建議在平時的教學中應當加強朗讀訓練,并利用有限的機會進行英語交際訓練。學生應當養成每天早讀10-20分鐘英語文章,在英語課堂上盡量使用英語思維、用英語回答問題的習慣。學校、老師也可以組織多種多樣的活動,為學生用英語思維與交際創造更好、更多的機會,確實提高學生學英語、想英語、聽英語、說英語的能力。只要有了較為扎實的英語語音能力,再加上對高考英語口試流程及內容有充分的了解,在高考英語口試中得到高分將會是一件輕而易舉的事情。
