在12號的下午2：28分四川汶川發生的地震也是7.8級，從已知的報道看死亡人數已達1.2萬人，但還有6萬人生死不明，據現場直升機發回的報道，汶川縣城現在已經成為廢墟，超過了48小時，生還的希望渺茫，空中救援部隊的一個連已經冒著雷陣雨空降，150名解放軍戰士已經犧牲4名。溫總理在都江堰的臨時帳篷中日以繼夜的指揮救援工作，每到一個現場他總是親自向被埋的幸存者喊話，鼓勵他們一定要堅持，見到遇難者的遺體年過花甲的總理哭得不成樣子，那場面真得讓人揪心。但他們都有一個信念，那就是讓所有人都平安脫險，這是一種什么精神，這是對國家對人民高度負責的精神。
