Dear Ms.LiHua,I am very glad to write to you.And it is my honor that you are my creative writing teacher this semester.Firstly, let me introduce myself.My name is ZhangDa, coming from Ziyang, Sichuan, and you can call me Andy as well.I enjoy playing football very much.Football to me is what wings to birds.I think it is not only a kind of sports that is good for exercising but also an inspiration which accompanies and empowers me.When I feel low or confined by the things or people around me, I always go to the field and talk with my friend “football”.I run, run, and run, over and over, till exhaustion.I always feel much better after this, because there is at least one place I can have my freedom and get those damn things out of my chest.Two weeks ago, I took the Creative Writing class for the first time after registration, and I felt that you are such a kind and gentle teacher, different from many other teachers I’ve met--I mean your teaching style and approaches.Although my English writing is a bit poor, I felt at ease in your class indeed, because I can write whatever I want without much hesitation and I feel like I am playing football when I do the free writing.That’s very nice.Actually, I have some problems in writing, which I’ve already recognized, and maybe there are more remain to be found.When I am writing an English composition, I usually spend too much time in brainstorming and I get used to going over what I have done back

and forth from time to time.At the same time, I am often trapped in wording.Which word should I use here? Should I use a clause? What kind of? You see, these kinds of tiny questions would even bother and bewilder me.I guess that’s why my writing process is not so efficient and my composition lacks emotion.Therefore, I extremely hope that I can improve my writing skill in this course.As for the class, I have some expectations.Firstly, I think warm-up activities are always welcomed.They could be carried out in different forms, such as the “poem game”, which we did the week before last week, the free chatting in groups, and any activity that can activate our imaginative ideas or get us excited.What’s more, we should choose the topics freely.I think the free writing we did for last two weeks is very good.You provide us with opportunities to express ourselves freely and frequently with pleasure instead of pressure.No matter what, this is just my poor recommendation.A saying goes, “Writing is a powerful means of communication because it forms and shapes human thought.” Just because it doesn't come naturally doesn't mean that you can't learn to do it well.Anything gets better with practice.Therefore, I know that practices are inevitable and essential, but may I make a request?
