演講稿的水平高低取決于參賽者的英語素質(zhì)高低。但是，絕對不是英語水平高的人就能寫出震撼人心的好稿子。在寫稿，選材等方面，有不少選手都存在些小誤區(qū)。首先，我覺得選手不應(yīng)該選大題。演講比賽的題目可能只給你一個范圍，例如“教育類或科技類”很多人會傾向選擇那種很“氣勢宏大”的題目，什么“科技與人類”。其實演講比賽的時間很有限，選擇一個大題目的話，很難在有限的時間內(nèi)闡述清楚。雖然演講需要激情，但是更需要真情實感。選了個大題目，會容易“喊空口號”，給人感覺很空洞，不真實。在選材方面也是如此。最好要選擇自己經(jīng)歷過的，能激起大多數(shù)人共鳴的事，不要選些什么看起來很輝煌的事。“偉大寓于平凡之中”就是充分發(fā)揮小事的魅力。以這次“希望之星”英語風(fēng)采大賽大學(xué)組為例，其中有個新疆的選手給我留下了很深的印象。其一是他的口語的確是太棒了，其二是他的稿子很感人。他沒有選擇什么歌頌祖國和人類等大題目，而是自己的經(jīng)歷和感受，他選的題材甚至有點不光彩，他選了自己曾經(jīng)輟學(xué)的經(jīng)歷，說他在社會上的艱辛和感受，最后他還是從自己吃的虧和教訓(xùn)中明白了讀書的重要。這樣的題材很有說服力，給人的感覺很真實，會牽引著聽眾真的走進你的故事。就算是即興演講，你在那很短的準備時間里，也應(yīng)該遵循類似的選題和選材原則。當(dāng)然，你的演講稿的語言構(gòu)成是否出色就是靠真本領(lǐng)了。我個人覺得可以適當(dāng)?shù)募尤胄┚涫蕉痰呐疟染洌@樣容易在講時迸發(fā)激情，也可以用些疑問句，引起聽眾的共鳴和思索。還可以用一些英語典故或俚語，諺語等，只要用得恰當(dāng)，就會為你的稿子錦上添花。稿子不僅要做到語言上的無懈可擊，更要新穎有趣、多用短句以抓住聽眾。中小學(xué)生的口語大賽定題演講以自我簡介居多，在簡要介紹完自己的基本情況后，要抓住自己與他人不一樣的地方例如愛好、理想等做文章，讓評委和觀眾有耳目一新的感覺。

接下來就是即興演講或針對性演講。即興演講和針對演講內(nèi)容的問答一般都被選手看成是最難以準備因而也是最容易產(chǎn)生緊張情緒的環(huán)節(jié)。其實，這兩個環(huán)節(jié)同樣也是可以準備的。我們經(jīng)常在電視、vcd上看到一些高水平的比賽選手在即興環(huán)節(jié)中口若懸河滔滔不絕，對他們深厚的英語基本功和靈敏的臨場反應(yīng)欽佩不已。據(jù)一項非官方調(diào)查顯示，絕大多數(shù)的選手在比賽前都會背下大量的或經(jīng)典美文，或原創(chuàng)“段子”，以應(yīng)不時之需。這種準備方法雖然要耗費不少時間精力，但其實操作過程很簡單，而且一旦完成，對參賽的幫助不可估量。方法的步驟就是：

1、搜集往屆比賽資料以及社會和時事新聞，觀看往屆比賽的碟片，研究比賽內(nèi)容、選手的表現(xiàn)，在練習(xí)時注意借鑒、取舍，總結(jié)并歸類最易出現(xiàn)的討論話題。譬如我當(dāng)初就在瀏覽完前七屆的比賽資料后將即興演講題分為“中西方文化差異”、“現(xiàn)代化進程”、“教育體制改革和貧困地區(qū)教育”等十個大類。

2、就每個主題寫一段一分鐘左右（視整體時間而定，一般占總時間的一半到三分之二）的“段子”，表達方式要完全用記敘。最好是自己學(xué)習(xí)和生活當(dāng)中的趣事，要有一定教育意義，如果自己實在沒有就找與自己密切相關(guān)的親友生活中的。比如我當(dāng)時為文化差異的主題寫的就

是我在紐約定居了五年的表姐回中國來辦婚禮全家人爭論到底是采用中式還是西式的小文章。雖然沒有用上，但這樣短小而生動的故事是極受評委歡迎的。

3、在改稿時注意添加富有幽默感的內(nèi)容。由于這類比賽的一大趨勢便是越來越多地邀請外國評委，這個群體對幽默感是非常看重的。但這也為幽默的方式帶來了一定難度，究竟怎樣才是中外評委可以共同接受的幽默，這就需要老師進行專門的指導(dǎo)了。

4、背下段子。場下背這些段子的熟練程度要做到與背定題演講一樣，但在場上一定要注意適當(dāng)放慢語速，有抑揚頓挫，要讓聽眾感覺你確實是在“說”而不是在“背”。

準備完即興演講后，根據(jù)已準備的即興演講內(nèi)容請老師、同學(xué)或者是家長提一些問題并記下，然后仔細思考并寫下富有新意的回答，這就是問答項的準備方法了。前面講的這三項內(nèi)容（定題演講、即興演講、針對演講內(nèi)容的問答），在準備工作上有一點共通之處，這就是切忌內(nèi)容空泛、喊大口號、談大理論。這其實也是我們中文演講和英文演講很大的一個不同所在。中文是我們的母語，因此我們會借著無數(shù)的華麗辭藻和句式堆砌出一篇氣勢磅礴的文章；而英文的絕不能這樣，原因有二：

一、評委在一天要聽數(shù)十位選手的演講，他們不會有興趣聽任何空話大話，如果你的詞匯過深奧句子過長，甚至?xí)斐伤麄兝斫馍系恼系K；

二、無論什么話題，立意都很容易撞車，所以若花大部分筆墨在main idea上，太容易與別人的內(nèi)容重復(fù)，而事例都是每個人自己的，不會有雷同，因此一定要記住重點是將你的supporting details娓娓道來，這也是聽眾們感興趣的東西。

在面對即興問答這一部分，最重要的是要集中注意力把評委的問題聽清楚。做答時不用匆忙，一定要審清題，要答到點子上。在這個比賽環(huán)節(jié)，我覺得選手可以適當(dāng)?shù)募尤胄┯哪１热纾锌赡苣闾o張了，評委第一次在問題目時你沒聽清楚，這時你不要很慌，也不要就“pardon”一句就敷衍了，你可以開些小玩笑，比如：久聞您的大名，今日終于見到了太激動了，只記得看您的人了，都忘了還在比賽，還有題目。內(nèi)容新穎。在即興演講和臨場表演的環(huán)節(jié)中，一定要注意新穎及抖包袱。說發(fā)生在自己身上事情比較有感覺，注意不要落于俗套，只有做到“人無我有，人有我優(yōu)，人優(yōu)我新”才能吸引住評委的眼球，得到好的分數(shù)。什么叫抖包袱？比如評委問你在你生命中誰給你影響最大？不要一上來就說有一人給了我很大的影響，他就是我爸爸。接著一二三四五的舉事例。而是先說幾件有意思的小事，讓大家產(chǎn)生疑問他究竟是誰啊？在演講的最后再揭開謎底：and do you know who he is? he is my father.這樣會比較好。

以上的三項是此類比賽中出現(xiàn)頻率最高也是占分比例最高的形式，而一些其他輔助性的形式特別要求選手在平時就注重基本功的練習(xí)。

比如中小學(xué)生比賽中常出現(xiàn)的看圖說話，其實并沒有很強的技巧性，只要選手可以流暢的將畫面意思表達出來并且可以自圓其說就可以了。這對語言的功底要求較高，需要選手們平時做大量的練習(xí)，并且由老師指導(dǎo)。

另一種是聽力測評，難度由聽單詞到短文不等。聽力的訓(xùn)練也是要在平時完成的，而賽前的準備有一種臨陣磨槍的方法，就是在比賽前兩三天盡量浸入全英文環(huán)境，看無中文字幕的電

影、聽錄音、廣播，聽不懂沒關(guān)系，主要鍛煉聽到英語不緊張的自然心態(tài)。才藝表演也是近年來興起的一個項目。一般選手比較鐘愛的形式包括歌唱、詩朗誦、戲劇表演以及模仿電影原聲等等，這些都是十分可取的形式，重要的是根據(jù)個人的興趣及特長作好充分準備。值得一提的是，以上這些都是與英語緊密關(guān)聯(lián)的，有些選手會選擇器樂演奏等與英語毫不相干的形式，這就要注意，如果你不是對自己的水平那么有信心，相信自己可以憑此征服全場觀眾和評委，那就一定要慎用。

此外，知識搶答、即興情景對話等更是重在平時的積累。在賽前，我們可以加強突擊一下。賽前的突擊最重要的是加大閱讀。要接觸一些時政要聞和英美風(fēng)情介紹的東西，擴充自己的知識面。可以多聽些英語的新聞或介紹西方概況的節(jié)目，培養(yǎng)語感和聽力反應(yīng)速度。還可以多讀讀英語的繞口令，讓自己說英語時更加的靈巧。當(dāng)然最好的就是接受專業(yè)的培訓(xùn)。因為培訓(xùn)可以模擬正式的比賽，讓你在最真實的環(huán)境中不斷進步。而且集中的培訓(xùn)，老師會從最基本的語音語調(diào)著手，來不斷的糾正你的錯誤，完善你的表現(xiàn)。語音語調(diào)是口語大賽最基本的評判標(biāo)準，也是中國選手進步最快的部分。一般進入到全國性決賽的選手個個都有出眾的語音，有的甚至是在國外生活過一段時間，脫口就是地道的倫敦音、紐約音等等。而對廣大中小學(xué)生來說，參加口語大賽，語音語調(diào)的問題一定要率先解決。首先，要做到準備好的也就是背好的內(nèi)容中的語音零錯誤，對自己把握不準讀音的單詞一定要咨詢老師或者查字典；其他內(nèi)容在說的時候盡量放松，力求說出最自然的狀態(tài)。中國學(xué)生在緊張的時候說英語十分容易拖音，這是萬萬要不得的。寧愿停頓的時間長一些，或是加上一些“well”,“you know”之類的發(fā)語詞（組），也不能在評委面前顯出發(fā)音的不專業(yè)。

最后，還要說幾點演講和比賽的技巧

第一，聲音的修飾。根據(jù)講述內(nèi)容、個人風(fēng)格調(diào)節(jié)輕重緩急。每個人的風(fēng)格是不一樣的，綜觀世界政壇，戴安娜王妃的親和力、希拉里的高貴典雅、小布什的張揚、溫家寶總理的不溫不火，決定了他們使用聲線的不同方法。

第二，肢體語言。對于簡單的一二

三、引用他人語言等等，要將動作盡量做開，避免僵硬。其他與所講內(nèi)容相關(guān)的動作也要做得自然，如果由于心里想著動作而影響說話，那么就放棄肢體語言。當(dāng)然，這種情況也是可以通過反復(fù)訓(xùn)練而改善的。

第三，克服緊張情緒。大賽當(dāng)前，沒有人會說自己毫無半點緊張情緒。我曾在省里的比賽中親見選手暈倒在講臺上，在中央電視臺第八演播室比賽時，有一位來自浙江的選手在已備演講中結(jié)結(jié)巴巴，最后突然停下，問主持人要水喝。緊張有時是由于準備的不充分引起的，但更多的時候是一種天性。我自己比了這么多回賽，每次在上場前仍然會心跳加速、舌頭僵硬，但以下幾個動作可以緩解這種狀況：上場前喝口水、說話前微笑、鞠躬、深呼吸。如果真緊張得忘詞了，千萬不要慌張，也不要停頓過長，越長越緊張，越緊張越想不起來，這時想到哪里就從哪里開始說，再慢慢補救。第四，眼神交流。將你炯炯的目光輻射到全場觀眾的次數(shù)不用多，一場比賽兩三次即可。要始終記住你的重點對象是評委，大部分的時候是看著他們。有些評委的表情或是點頭搖頭等動作極易引起選手的緊張情緒，這時候我們有一句俗話：“you look at them, but you don’t see them.”意思就是你眼睛看著他們，但千萬別往心里去，你的心里應(yīng)該是被演講內(nèi)容填滿的。

最后，著裝的標(biāo)準。中小學(xué)生的比賽中經(jīng)常看見有的小選手穿著運動式的校服蹦蹦跳跳地就上臺了，這是一定要避免的。另外牛仔褲和過于寬松的衣褲也最好不要穿。男生著西裝、女生穿上顏色鮮艷不俗的裙裝，這是最好的選擇。上面說了不要穿過于寬松的衣服以免看上去不精神，當(dāng)然也不能穿得太緊，這會影響到臨場的發(fā)揮。
