當(dāng)別人在你旁邊羅嗦個沒完,你煩透了,說“You are so boring “.(你真煩!)?!癝hut up!”(閉嘴?。 不如來一句“Oh, come on.Give me a break!”(幫幫忙,讓我歇歇吧!)
癥ou look fine!” You’re in the pink!”
“他精力充沛”美國人說:“He is bouncy.” 如:久仰,“I get mind of you “.比”I heard a lot about you.”
Please remember me to your sister.” 或”Please give my best wishes to your father ”不過,若是很好的朋友,何不說,“Please give my love to Jim?!?/p>
在中國可不能隨便說“我想你”,然而,當(dāng)和西方人分手時說“I will miss you.”要比說“Good-bye”或“See you soon”有趣得多,不妨一試。
有人開會遲到了,你若對他說 “You are late.”,聽起來象是廢話,若說“Did you get lost ?”,則更能讓他歉然,可別說成“Get lost!”
別人征求你的意見,問能否開窗戶等,你要說“You can do that.”就有點土了,用一句“Do you have the time? ”實際上,問他人的姓名,地址都可以這么用:“May I have you name?“要比”What’s your name ?
別人問你不愿公開的問題,切勿用“It’s my secret ,Don’t ask such a personal question.” 你可以說“I would rather not say.”(還是別說了吧?。?。
有時候,你想說什么,可說是想不起來,你可以說“Well ?”“Let me see”“Just a moment ”或“It’s on the tip of my tongue.”
交談時,你可能會轉(zhuǎn)換話題,不要只說“By the way ”,實際上,“To change the subject”“Before I forget”“While I remember”“Mind you ”都是既地道有受歡迎的表達(dá)。
用“I know ”或“I got it ”就順耳得多,要是不懂就說“I’m not clear about it.”不過如果你會說“It’s past my understanding”或“It’s beyond me.”

1.It's not like that. It's not like that. It's not like that這句話也有可能是你用來硬拗的藉口。
2.I've gotten carried away.
3.Good thing...
4.I don't believe you're bringing this up.
5.There's no other way of saying it.
6.Is there someone else?
7.That will not always be the case. That will be the case就是指“情況就會是這樣了”。但是你若覺得現(xiàn)在的情況只會是暫時,不會長久,你就可以反過來說“That will not always be the case.
8.I was being polite. 當(dāng)然你若要說一個人有禮貌,你可以說He is polite或是He has good manners。
9.So that explains it. So that explains it / everything.“這就都說得通了?!?/p>
10.I feel the same way. 1.What have you got to lose?
2.You shouldn't be so hard on yourself. 3.Don't get me started on it.
4.I don't know what came over me.
5.I don't seem to fit. I don’t seem to fit in。
6.I don't have time for this.
1.What are you up to?
就與“What are you up to?” 除此以外“What are you up to?” 當(dāng)然“What are you up to?”與“What are you doing?”
2.In the middle of something?
In the middle of something?(你正在忙嗎?) 如果你經(jīng)常用“Are you busy?”,不妨換成“In the middle of something?”,因為這句話的意思更為準(zhǔn)確,比較接近于“Are you busy right now?”(現(xiàn)在是不是正在忙?)而“Are you busy?” 如果你除了“Are you busy?”之外,還懂得用“In the middle of something?”
3.Maybe I’m going out on a limb, but I think we still have to invest it。
提到冒險,一般人會想到用 “It’s risky” 或 “It’s dangerous.” 但是囗語上美國人喜歡說 “I’m going out on alimb.” 這種不確定的危機(jī)感,就是為什么美國人要用 “Go out on a limb.”
4.“Please give us your comments?!
比如直譯為:“Please give us your valuable comments。” 正確的譯法應(yīng)該是:“Please give us your comments。”或“We welcome your comments.”
5.Probably.It’s still up in the air。
這時你就可以回答“It’s still up in theair。”
及“I haven’t made my mind yet.”等。
6.That’s OK。 當(dāng)別人說 “That’s OK.”
“沒關(guān)系,無所謂”的意思,所以如果你想很堅定地拒絕別人準(zhǔn)備遞過來的飲料,可以說 “That’s OK.I don’t need anything to drink.”
7.He’s out for lunch.
如果按照中文的詞面意思翻譯成“He went out for lunch.”是不符合美國人的溝通習(xí)慣的,通常他們都會說“be out for something”,套用一下就是“He is on lunch.” 還可以建議別人“Why don’t you call back in 10 minutes?“(你為什么10分鐘后再打來呢?)或者請對方留言“May I take your message?(你可以留言嗎?)
8.“You’re in the pink!”
“you look fine!”當(dāng)然不錯,可如果你說”you’re in the pink!”
9.Just right place, right time。
但其實關(guān)于幸運的表達(dá)方式還有很多,比如“Just right place, right time.”
10.Same here。
或“So do I.”來表達(dá)。

b.時態(tài):文章絕大部分使用的是一般現(xiàn)在時;一般現(xiàn)在時第三人稱要使用單數(shù);使用過去發(fā)生的事例時用的是過去時;
