圖表作文是graph、diagram、chart、table、picture等數據來闡述論題的一種英語作文形式。圖表英語作文既能考察學生的寫作能力，有要求學生有較高的觀察力和想象力，是很好的測試題型。致使近幾年，英語圖表作文在高考英語中出現的頻率明顯增加。

目前高考英語中出現較多的圖表作文主要分為表格或者圖形兩種類型。表格形式作文是將統計的數據或被說明的事物直接用表格形式體現出來。圖形形式作文是用圖形表示數據變化、或者表示數據大小或數量之間的差異、異或內部結構變化等等。

如何寫圖表英語作文？常用寫作方法就是先描寫數據變化，再分析變化背后的原因，最后點明個人看法及對未來發展趨勢、問題解決提出方法等等。具體步驟：1.確定主題。仔細審題，看懂圖表的意思，對比數據之間的關系、尋找數據的變化規律，明確作文寫作中心。
