We had a seven-day National Holiday.I read lots of interesting books during the holiday.I got up at 8:30.After breakfast I began to do my homework because I had lots of homework to do.I helped my parents cook lunch.After lunch I washed the dishes.In the afternoon I could listen to music, read books and surf the internet.In the evening I usually watched TV after I did my homework.I nearly did the same thing every day so I felt boring.Today is National Day.We have no classes.In the morning, I went to the People’s Park with my mother.We had a good time.In the afternoon, I helped my parents to cook supper.I had a busy day today.My holiday was very interesting.I reads two hours book everyday,then I go out to play.In this holiday,I watch a lot of movies, for example:Twilight and Inception.My classmates and I sometimes go out to go shopping.I have eaten a lot of food.At night,I always listen to my favourite music, play computer games and chat with my family members.How foolish am I!I copy this on the Internet!

As so many people say that“the post-80’s generation”is the “sun” of our country, so that our parents are all believing that we will have a bright tomorrow and thinking that we are the hope of themselves.But the circumstances seems what we can’t excepted, the expending of high examination made more and more students have the chance to go to University, and enjoy the happy life in campus, what opposite is, we have less ability to deal with the reality problems and some difficulties, what’s more, with the high development and serious competition of modern life, we have no time to rest, and just to run to gain some material profits, and sometimes complain of the condition we live.Now, rebellious, fashion, independence are the synonymous of our post-80’s generation.As time goes, I usually think that what’s the exact different between our parents and us, the past generation feel that there are so many changes happened to us, they think we are out of their charge, and are striving to live a life which beyond their imagination, and so do we.We are wearing the different clothes, listening different music, and behaving the different ways, and so on.But in my opinion, we all just see the appearance, but not the absence.In fact, we are the same with our parents.Almost everyone of us will compromise when there are conflicts between realities and dreams in facing of marriage and work, we think

The week long National Day holiday has witnessed some 90 million tourists travelling across the country, a record high since the first "Golden Week＇＇ holiday in 2000.The mass movement brought 34.6 billion yuan(US$4.2 billion)worth of income to shops, restaurants, hotels, scenic spots and various businesses related to the tourist industry, which were hit hard by the outbreak of SARS(severe acute respiratory syndrome)earlier this year.The tourist arrivals nationwide from October 1 to 7 jumped by 11.5 per cent over the same period last year, with their spending up 13.1 per cent, the National Tourism Administration announced Wednesday.Air carriers have benefitted greatly from the travel boom, with 1.65 billion yuan(US$200 million)in volume reported during the week, up 29.9 per cent year on year.The railways also took a pleasing share with over 1 billion yuan(US$128 million)worth of fares, up 6 per cent.The gain is also an all-time high since the State authority began to launch week long holidays, known as Golden Week, in the International Day of Labour in May and the National Day in October every year since 2000.Figures from 136 major retailers in 31 key tourist cities across the country revealed that 2.96 billion yuan(US$357 million)in sales volume was generated during the Golden Week, up 18.9 per cent year on year.As well, 140 restaurant enterprises reported 220 million yuan(US$26.5 million)worth of income, up 17.1 per cent, according to the administration.
