小的時候，我們最猜不透的是太陽。那么一個圓盤，紅光光的，偏懸在空中，是什么繩兒系著的呢？它出來，天就亮了，它回去，天就黑了；莊稼不能離了它，樹木不能離了它，甚至花花草草的也離不得它。那是一個什么樣的寶貝??！我們便想有一天突然能到太陽上去，那里一定什么都是紅的，光亮的，那該多好，但是我們不能；想得癡了，就去纏著奶奶講太陽的故事。

“奶奶，太陽是住在什么地方呀？”

“是住在金山上的吧?！?/p>

“去太陽上有路嗎？”

“當然有的。”

“啊，那怎么個走呀？”

奶奶笑著，想了想，拉我們走到門前的那塊園地上，說：“咱們一塊來種園吧，你們每人種下你們喜愛的種子，以后什么就會知道了。”

奶奶教了一輩子學，到處都有她的學生，后來退休了就在家耕作這塊園地，她的話我們是最信的。到了園地，我們松了松土，施了施肥，妹妹種了一溜眉豆，弟弟種了幾行葵籽。我將十幾枚仙桃核兒埋在籬笆邊上，希望長出一片小桃林來。從此，我們天天往園地里跑，心急得像貪嘴的貓兒。10天之后，果然就全發芽了，先是拳拳的一個嫩黃尖兒，接著就分開兩個小瓣，肉肉的，像張開的一個小嘴兒。我們高興地大呼小叫。奶奶就讓我們5天測一次苗兒的高度，插根標記棍兒。有趣極了，那苗兒長得生快，標記棍兒竟一連插了幾根，一次比一次長出一大截來；一個月后，插到6根，苗兒就相對生葉，直噌噌長得老高了。

可是，太陽路的事，卻沒有一點跡象。我們又問起奶奶，她笑了：“苗兒不是正在路上走著嗎？”

這卻使我們莫名其妙了。

“傻孩子！”奶奶說，“苗兒5天一測，一測一個高度，這一個高度，就是一個臺階；順著這臺階上去，不是就可以走到太陽上去了嗎？

我們大吃一驚，原來這每一棵草呀，樹呀，就是一條去太陽的路嗎？這通往太陽的路，滿世界看不見，卻到處都存在著啊

奶奶問我們：“這路怎么樣呢？

妹妹說：”這路太陡了。

弟弟說：“這路太長了?！?/p>

我說：“這路沒有誰能走到頭的?！?/p>

奶奶說：“是的，太陽的路是陡峭的臺階，而且十分漫長，要走，就得用整個生命去攀登。世上凡是有生命的東西，都在這么走著，有的走得高，有的走得低，或許就全要在半路上死去。但是，正是在這種攀登中，是莊稼的，才能結出果實：是花草的，才能開出花絮：是樹木的，才能長成材料?！?/p>

我們都靜靜地聽著，站在暖和的太陽下，發現著每一條路和在每一條路上攀登的生命。

“那我們呢？”我說，“我們怎么走呢？”

奶奶說：“人的一輩子也是一條陡峭的臺階路，需要拼全部的力氣去走。你們現在還小，將來要做一個有用的人，就得多爬幾個這樣的臺階，雖然艱難，但畢竟是一條向太陽愈走愈近的光明的路。”

去的盡管去了，來的盡管來著，去來的中間，又怎樣地匆匆呢？早上我起來的時候，小屋里射進兩三方斜斜的太陽。太陽他有腳啊，輕輕悄悄地挪移了；我也茫茫然跟著旋轉。于是——洗手的時候，日子從水盆里過去；吃飯的時候，日子從飯碗里過去；默默時，便從凝然的雙眼前過去。我覺察他去的匆匆了，伸出手遮挽時，他又從遮挽著的手邊過去。天黑時，我躺在床上，他便伶伶俐俐地從我身上跨過，從我腳邊飛去了。等我睜開眼和太陽再見，這算又溜走了一日。我掩著面嘆息。但是新來的日子的影兒又開始在嘆息里閃過了。

在逃去如飛的日子里，在千門萬戶的世界里的我能做些什么呢？只有徘徊罷了，只有匆匆罷了；在八千多日的匆匆里，除徘徊外，又剩些什么呢？過去的日子如輕煙，被微風吹散了，如薄霧，被初陽蒸融了；我留著些什么痕跡呢？我何曾留著像游絲樣的痕跡呢？我赤裸裸來到這世界，轉眼間也將赤裸裸的回去罷？但不能平的，為什么偏要白白走這一遭??？

我第一次吃荔枝，是28歲的時候。那是十幾年前，我剛到北京，家中只有孤零零的老母。站在荔枝攤兒前，腳挪不動步。那時，北京很少見到這種南國水果，時令一過，不消幾日，再想買就買不到了。想想活到28歲，居然沒有嘗過荔枝的滋味，再想想母親快70歲的人了，也從來沒有吃過荔枝呢！雖然一斤要好幾元，挺貴的，咬咬牙，還是掏出錢買了一斤。那時，我剛在郊區謀上中學老師的職，衣袋里正有當月42元半的工資，硬邦邦的，鼓起幾分膽氣。我想讓母親嘗嘗鮮，她一定會高興的。

回到家，還沒容我從書包里掏出荔枝，母親先端出一盤沙果。這是一種比海棠大不了多少的小果子，居然每個都長著疤，有的還爛了皮，只是讓母親一一剜聲去了疤，洗得干干凈凈。每個沙果都顯得晶光透亮，沾著晶瑩的水珠，果皮上紅的紋絡顯得格外清晰。不知老人家洗了幾遍才洗成這般模樣。我知道這一定是母親買的處理水果，每斤頂多5分或者1角。居家過日子，老人就是這樣一輩子過來了。

我拿了一個沙果塞進嘴里，連聲說真好吃，又明知故問多少錢一斤，然后不住口說真便宜——其實，母親知道那是我在安慰她而已，但這樣的把戲每次依然讓她高興。趁著她高興的勁兒，我掏出荔枝：“媽！今兒我給您也買了好東西?！蹦赣H一見荔枝，臉立刻沉了下來：“你財主了怎么著？這么貴的東西，你……”我打斷母親的話：“這么貴的東西，不興咱們嘗嘗鮮！”母親撲哧一聲笑了，筋脈突兀的手不停地撫摸著荔枝，然后用小拇指甲蓋劃破荔枝皮，小心翼翼地剝開皮又不讓皮掉下，手心托著荔枝，像是托著一只剛剛啄破蛋殼的小雞，那樣愛憐地望著舍不得吞下，嘴里不住地對我說：“你說它是怎么長的？怎么紅皮里就長著這么白的肉？”畢竟是第一次吃，畢竟是好吃！母樣竟像孩子一樣高興。

那一晚，正巧有位老師帶著幾個學生突然到我家做客，望著桌上這兩盤水果有些奇怪。也是，一盤沙果傷痕累累，一盤荔枝玲瓏剔透，對比過于鮮明。說實話，自尊心與虛榮心齊頭并進，我覺得自己仿佛是那盤丑小鴨般的沙果，真恨不得變戲法一樣把它一下子變走。母親端上茶來，笑吟吟順手把沙果端走，那般不經意，然后回過頭對客人說：“快嘗嘗荔枝吧！”說得那般自然、妥貼。

母親很喜歡吃荔枝，但是她舍不得吃，每次都把大個的荔枝給我吃。以后每年的夏天，不管荔枝多貴，我總是要買上一兩斤，讓母親嘗嘗鮮。荔枝成了我家一年一度的保留節目，一直延續到三年前母親去世。母親去世前是夏天，正趕上荔枝剛上市。我買了好多新鮮的荔枝，皮薄核小，鮮紅的皮一剝掉，白中泛青的肉蒙著一層細細的水珠，仿佛跑了多遠的路，累得張著一張張汗津津的小臉。是啊，它們整整跑了一年的長跑，才又和我們闊別重逢。我感到慰藉的是，母親臨終前一天還吃到了水靈靈的荔枝，我一直信為是天命，是母親善良忠厚一生的報償。如果荔枝晚幾天上市，我遲幾天才買，那該是何等的遺憾，會讓我產生多少無法彌補的痛楚。

其實，我錯了。自從家里添了小孫子，母親便把原來給兒子的愛分給孫子一部分。我忽略了身旁小饞貓的存在，他再不用熬到28歲才能嘗到荔枝，他還不懂得什么叫珍貴，什么叫舍不得，只知道想吃便張開嘴巴。母親去世很久，我才知道母親臨終前一直舍不得吃一顆荔枝，都給了她心愛的太饞嘴的小孫子吃了。

而今，荔枝依舊年年紅。

石縫間倔強的生命，常使我感動得潸然淚下。

是那不定的風把無人采擷的種子撒落海角天涯吧。盡管他們也能從陽光中分享到溫暖，從雨水里得到滋潤，但惟有那一切生命賴以生存的土壤卻要自己去尋找。它們面對著的現實是多么嚴峻??！

于是大自然出現了驚人的奇跡，不毛的石縫間叢生了倔強的生命。

或者，只是一簇一簇無名的野草，春綠秋黃，歲歲枯榮。它們沒有辦法生長寬闊的葉子，因為尋找不到足夠的營養，它們有的只是三兩片長長的細瘦薄葉，細微的葉脈訴說著生存是多么艱難；甚至，它們竟在一簇簇細瘦的葉子下長出根須，很少向母體吮吸點乳汁，然后自去找那不易被覺察到的石縫。

這就是生命。

生命的本能是多么尊貴，生命有權輝煌壯麗，生機竟是這樣的不可抑制。

或者，就是一團團小小的山花，石縫間的蒲公英因山風的兇狂而不能長出高高的軀干。因山石的貧瘠而不能擁有眾多的葉片，它們的莖顯得堅韌而蒼老，葉因枯萎而失卻光澤，只有根竟似強固的筋條，仿佛柔中帶剛的藤蔓，深埋在石縫狹隘的間隙里，默默成為攀登者可靠的抓繩。

生命就是這樣被環境限制著，又被環境改變著，適者生存的規律盡管無情，但生命原本就是拼搏。

而最令人贊嘆的是，石縫間還生長著參天的松柏，雄偉蒼勁、巍峨挺拔。它們使高山有了靈氣，一切生命在它們面前都顯得蒼白遜色。它們的軀干頑強地從石縫長出來，向上，向上，向上是多么的艱難，扭轉地，旋轉地，每一寸樹皮都結著傷疤。每長一寸都要經過幾度寒暑，幾度春秋。然而它們終于伸展開了繁茂的枝干，團簇著永不（變色？）的針葉。它們聳立在懸崖斷壁、高山峻嶺，盤根錯節地從一個石縫間扎進去，又從另一個石縫間鉆出來，像犀利的鷹爪抓住了棲身的巖石。

有時，一株松柏的根須竟要爬滿半壁山崖，似把累累的山石用一根粗繩緊緊縛住，由此才能迎擊狂風暴雨的侵襲，才能為自己占有一片天地。

如果一切生命都不屑于去石縫尋求立足的天地，那么，世界上將會有一大片的地方成為永遠的死寂。飛鳥無處棲身，生命將要絕跡。而如果一切生命都只貪戀于黝黑的沃土，它們又如何完備自己駕馭環境的能力，在一代一代的繁衍中，變得愈加堅強呢？

愿一切生命都敢于去尋求最艱苦的環境。生命正是要在最困厄的境遇中，才能發現自己、認識自己，從而才能錘煉自己、彰顯自己、最后完成自己、升華自己。

石縫間頑強的生命具有如此震懾人的力量，它使地球變得神奇輝煌，更揭示了壯麗的心靈世界。

太陽從西邊落山，恐懼卻從我的心頭升起，那年我才13歲。山村的夜色中，黑漆漆的遠山像一幅剪紙陰森地貼在窗戶的玻璃上，偌大的屋子里，只剩下我和妹妹。山中的狼群，一聲接一聲凄厲地哀嗥，常常將我和妹妹從夢中驚醒。

我們住在一所山村學校，叫喊聲未必能讓遠處的人家聽見。忽然，我想起了哨子——母親上體育課時用的哨子。鼓起胸腔，拼命地讓全部的氣流吹出盡可能最大的聲響。漸漸地，我聽見了家門前由遠及近嘈雜的腳步聲，大聲說話的聲音。我聽見了鄉親們喊我的名字。開了門，一群人扛著鋤頭站在我家門前，他們都是周圍我熟悉的鄉親。

“孩子，你睡吧！這一夜我們不走了。”一位大爺說。他們在墻根靠下了鋤頭，坐著、蹲著，吸著旱煙??我漸漸地睡著了。直到天亮，他們才扛起鋤頭離開。

小屋的窗子是朝西開的，我便有機會盡情地欣賞那迷人的夕照了。

透過窗子向下看，是一排整齊的紅磚瓦房。磚瓦房后面立著一排挺拔的鉆天楊。每臨近黃昏時，太陽順著這排楊樹緩緩滑落下去，便出現了如詩的夕照。

太陽被裹上橘黃色，沒有了刺眼的光芒，穩穩地站在那排楊樹的樹梢上，沒有絲毫衰老的樣子。柔柔的光瀉下來，給磚瓦房鍍上一層華麗的金黃；房頂頓時化作一汪晶瑩的湖水，每一片瓦都跳躍著紅潤的光，變得波光粼粼一般了。很明顯，這雀躍著的“波紋”是夕陽得意的杰作。那平靜的“湖面”難道不是被它踩碎的嗎？啊，它和我們一樣調皮！

這樣想著想著，眼前的太陽便又向下溜了一截。

這會兒，太陽的臉上開始泛出微紅；輕輕的，如紗一般。不一會兒，那紅色變深了，成了小姑娘臉上害羞的紅云了。

一會兒，那張可愛的臉漸漸變紅，變紅，最終一只熟透了的“大石榴”出現在樹杈當中。光帶著收獲的喜悅從“石榴”里溢了出來，映著鉆天楊矯健的身影，在天際形成一幅絕妙的工筆畫。

天空的黑色漸漸漫了過來，幾乎要把太陽包住了。太陽則變得越發的紅，宛然一團燃燒的烈火將黑暗照亮。我呆呆地望著這如火的夕陽，油然而生出一種感慨，一種激動。

月光下的蛙鳴

一直以來，我堅信有一種愛，能喚起一個人內心潛在的力量，幫助你去戰勝一切困難。

漸漸地，蛙聲不再吵鬧了，每夜都有香甜的夢。但是，母親卻變了，日日坐在椅子上打盹。一天，隔壁的大媽偷偷地拉住我，悄悄跟我說，你母親為了讓你睡好覺，夜夜替你趕青蛙呢。

我將信將疑。但是，第二天夜里，月光下塘埂上，我真的看見了我的母親。

溪流

我常常覺得，我的生命，就是那山中的溪流。雖然在莽莽的山里，它只是那么柔細的一股兒水流。

溪是有根的，它涼涼地扎在山峰之下。在莊嚴的 大山下，永遠不安寧、表現著的，恐怕便是這小溪了。

或許，它是從石縫里一滴兒一滴兒滲出來的；或許，是從小草的根下一個泡兒一個泡兒冒出來的。但是，太陽曬不干它、黃風刮不跑它。天性是那么晶瑩，氣息是那么清新；它一出來，便宣告了它的生命，尋著自己的道路要流動了。

正因為尋著自己的道路，它的步伐是艱辛的。然而，它從石板上滑下，便有了自己的銅的韻味的聲音；它從石崖上跌落，便有了自己白練般的顏色，它回旋在穴潭之中，便有了自己叵不可測的深沉。

它終于慢慢地大起來了，要走更遠的道兒；它流過了石川，流過了草地，流過了竹林，它要拜訪所有的山嶺，叩問每一次石頭，有時會突然潛入河床的沙石之下去了呢。于是，輕風給了它的柔情，鮮花給了它的芬芳，竹林給了它的涼綠，那多情的游魚，那斑斕的卵石，也給它增添了美的色彩。

它在流著，流著。它要流到哪里去呢？我想，山既然給了它的生命，它該是充實的，富有的；或許，它是做一顆露珠兒去滋潤花瓣，深入到枝葉里了，使草木的綠素傳送；或許，它竟能掀翻一坯污泥，拔脫了一叢腐根呢。那么，讓它流去吧，山地這么大，這么復雜，只要它流，它探索，它就有了自己的路子。

我是這么想的，我提醒著我，我鼓勵著我，我便將它寫成了淡淡的文字。

空山鳥語

到山上來，我最喜歡聽鳥叫。

在朝來金色的陽光里，我喜歡用大半天時間，去諦聽兩只鳥在我頭頂上鳴叫。它們總是用五個不同的音符串成一支歌。一只先唱，另一只接著，纏纏綿綿，重重復復，透明的情意，像滑滴在青石上的一線靈泉從歌聲里迸落。

山雀是頑皮的精靈，老是成群結隊地撒野，老是呼朋喚友，興奮地吵鬧。山雀們短促而嘹亮的鳴聲，讓人來不及凝神，只感到一陣輕快的音樂雨，散亂地、急驟地、漫天撒來，直把你全身淋透；而后，雨過天晴，在你心上引進陽光，在你生命里加上色彩，把你浸在奔放的歡樂里。

過午之后，山林便到了入睡的時刻，秋陽斂起耀眼的光彩，溫柔地照進幽谷深林里。鳥兒們靜默了。踏一坡金黃的落葉，踏一地斑駁的樹影，在眾鳥默默之中，“咕——咕——”，從哪里傳來的幾聲鷓鴣呢?忽斷、忽續、忽近、忽遠，那縹緲的鳴聲，竟有些不可捉摸了。真的是鷓鴣么?在臺灣很少聽到鷓鴣呢!鷓鴣該是鳥中的詩人，不，或者便是詩人的化身吧!就那縹緲的幾聲，便會把人拉回到一個古老的世界。“咕——咕——”，我回到了江南。“咕——咕——”我沐著淡煙疏雨。石頭城的苔痕，更加暗綠了哪!長檐飛角的小街，更加寂寥了哪!江畔的落日更蒼涼了哪!“咕——咕——”，奔馳在石板路上得得的馬蹄聲突然隱去了。這是夢境，呵!這是在海角孤島上奇幻的夢境?！堑?，我知道這是夢，可是我多么喜歡重溫!到山上來，且閉起眼睛，不要再瀏覽風景，好好地聽一聽鳥叫吧!鳥兒們用一百種聲調在歡唱，仙樂飄飄，回蕩在峰巒間，流淌在澗谷間。聽著這美妙的清音，還要做些什么呢? 我想做一只鳥，在山中。

鳥是樹的花朵

我們穿起了厚厚的棉衣，而有些樹木落光了葉子!看吧，這就冬天了!然而一些鳥落到了樹上，大大小小，五顏六色。我仿佛看見滿樹的花朵!有時候，鳥是一群一群地飛來又飛走的，黑壓壓一大片的是八哥或烏鴉，冬天的麻雀也喜歡一群一群地落在光禿禿的樹上。黑色的鳥群會在瞬間裝點一叢樹林。一群白鴿落到樹枝上，仿佛早春的玉蘭花開，白得豐腴而優雅。鳥兒們叫著喊著，吵吵鬧鬧。有時候，三只五只，它們散落在稀疏的樹枝上。有時候只有一只，孤獨地立在細細的樹枝上，這使人記起樹上的花朵，也是先開一朵，再開一大片的。

每當看到樹上落滿鳥的時候，我就停下來看。有了鳥的樹顯得格外生動。冬天的風因為這些小鳥的跳躍，也就顯得細微而富有彈性。它們在樹枝上唱著歌，一只鳥的歌唱使得樹木上的冬天沒有了寒冷的凝滯。烏鴉的歌聲粗壯而無所顧忌，麻雀使得冬天沒有了秩序。有時一只鳥獨自唱出婉轉的歌聲，細細地發顫、發亮，這是一只鳥再造了冬天的生機。鳥兒們在冬天的樹枝與樹枝之間打開花朵，排練了舞蹈，播放了音樂。

實際上，一年四季，鳥兒從來就是樹上的花朵。它們隱藏在樹葉之間，與綠葉一起舞蹈，與春風一起唱歌；夏天的蟬鳴由一只鳥定調，秋天的月夜被一聲鳥鳴切開。

假如我是個畫家，我就要用各種的彩色，渲點出她們的清揚的眉宇，和絢麗的服裝。

假如我是個作曲家，我就要用音符來傳達出她們輕捷的舞步，和細響的鈴聲。

假如我是個雕刻家，我就要在玉石上模擬出她們的充滿了活力的苗條靈動的身形。

笛子吹起，小鼓敲起，歌聲唱起，卡拉瑪開始舞蹈了。她用她的長眉，妙目，手指，腰肢；用她髻上的花朵，腰間的褶裙；用她細碎的舞步，繁響的鈴聲，輕云般慢移，旋風般疾轉，舞蹈出詩句里的離合悲歡。

我們雖然不曉得故事的內容，但是我們的情感，卻能隨著她的動作，起了共鳴！我們看她忽而雙眉顰蹙，表現出無限的哀愁，忽而笑頰粲然，表現出無邊的喜樂；忽而側身垂睫，表現出低回宛轉的嬌羞；忽而張目嗔視，表現出叱咤風云的盛怒；忽而輕柔地點額撫臂，畫眼描眉，表演著細膩妥貼的梳妝；忽而挺身屹立，按箭引弓，使人幾乎聽得見錚錚的弦響！像濕婆天一樣，在舞蹈的狂歡中，她忘懷了觀眾，也忘懷了自己。她只顧使出渾身解數，用她靈活熟練的四肢五官，來講說著印度古代的優美的詩歌故事！

黃昏是神秘的，只要人們能多活下去一天，在這一天的末尾，他們便有個黃昏。但是，年滾著年，月滾著月，他們活下去有數不清的天，也就有數不清的黃昏。我要問：有幾個人覺到這黃昏的存在呢？

自由的生命，都在窗外。一只悠閑獨步的螞蟻，電線上晾翅的一只鳥，塘里的一粒蝌蚪，泥土下一條蚯蚓，活得無牽無掛無拘無束無論是茅屋的草牖，還是高樓大廈的玻璃幕窗，作為窗戶本身，從來沒有阻隔過誰，也沒有拒絕過誰。你推開窗戶，看看天的高遠與蔚藍，聽聽鳥的鳴叫和飛翔，聞聞青草的芳香，就感受到了另一種方式的溫馨和愛。

媽媽的禮物

有個孩子，在他出生的那天，媽媽就離開了人世。從此，每當看到別人從媽媽那兒得到禮物，就非常傷心：“啊，我的媽媽，竟來不及給我一件禮物?！?/p>
