方案1:優秀學生直接入讀本科

推薦院校:威斯康星大學、普渡大學、明尼蘇達大學等

學生在高二到高三時考IELTS或TOEFL,條件好的學生可以再考SAT,高三上學期時獲得合格的IELTS或TOEFL成績,可以直接申請美國大學本科。一般要求雅思 6.0分,高中三年平均分在80分以上。如果要申請排名前50的名校,要求雅思6.5分以上,高中三年平均分90分。

據了解,一般來說,每年的9月—12月是申請美國大學最好的時機,申請結果會于次年1月至3月間出來。但是本方案對學生素質要求很高,學生不僅要有較高的英文水平,還需要有較強的獨立性。

方案2:無語言成績可申請雙錄取

推薦院校:圣路易斯大學、丹佛大學、塔爾薩大學、堪薩斯大學等

“雙錄取”又稱“條件式入學”,主要是針對沒有語言成績或語言成績暫時較弱的學生,學校會發出兩份錄取通知書:校語言中心和該校本科有條件錄取。學生入學后,先進入語言中心學習英語,語言過關后,無需另行申請,直接進入本科學習。美國大學雙錄取項目既保證每一個符合條件的申請人都能獲得學習機會,同時又保證學校的正常教學不會因學生聽不懂課程而被延誤。

與普通的四年制本科大學不同,社區學院主要提供兩類課程:一類是過渡性的文理課程,相當于四年制大學的前兩年,學生畢業后,學校會為學生頒發副學士學位。如果學生想繼續深造,則可申請轉讀四年制大學,繼續大三和大四的學習,以取得學士學位。另一類是終止性職業技術課程,畢業生可直接就業。國內選擇社區學院的申請人大多是看中了它的前一類課程,而據了解,選擇此類課程需要特別注意與其對接的院校。一般而言,每所社區大學都有簽署掛鉤協議的若干合作院校,只有簽過掛鉤協議的院校之間才能轉學分。

對于目前條件不夠,要想去美國前50的學校,選擇社區大學入讀是最為理想的做法,因為可以有兩年的時間讓學生去努力拼搏,只要學生達到社區大學與美國前50大學的轉學協議的要求(通常100分達到80分),就可以成功轉學。選擇該方案的學生在國內高二或高三讀完時,到美國通過ESL后,先讀兩年社區大學(Community College)課程,然后進入相關協議大學讀后兩年,獲得本科學位。

隨著通用申請表的改版,不少準備申請美國大學的同學和家長開始擔心新政的變化會給自己的申請帶來影響。

文書申請系統改版從2014秋起,通用申請表(Common Application)對其申請系統做了全面改版,此次是CA歷史上最大一次改革,對學生申請美國本科名校具有非凡指導意義,影響巨大。使用通用申請的學校增加了33所,它的改革本質上更直接更準確地表達出美國本科學校所希望錄取的學生標準和群體,此次變革主要涉及界面,模塊,內容,功能等方面,具體表現為:網申表格部分更新 網申付費方式更新

網申表格變化較多,比如:活動清單(Activity List)的描述字數從舊版的100字符增加到新版的150個字符,學生有更多的空間來展示他們的細節和成就。

新CA的備選版本(Alternative Versions)將沒有限制,除了文書,學生可以無限次的修改網申(舊版本只限于10次);學生最多可以提交三個不同的文書版本。而且新CA將只接受網上在線申請,不再接受打印CA表格并寄送紙板申請表格給學校等等新規。

寫作部分更新

更新五個文書題目,新的文書題目設計更鼓勵和要求學生在寫作時的反思和內省,且字數將嚴格控制在250-650字之間。小文書(Short answer)將不再出現在主表里,而是每所學校自己選擇是否要放在自己的附加申請(supplement)里面。

School Form部分更新

學生提供成績報告,提到自己排名時,要說明學校或年級總學生人數,由高中班主任填寫,只能填寫一次,不得修改。增加新的非學術性評價,可以由申請者的同學、朋友或其他人提交,但是否需要這份材料由學生申請的院校決定。

網申付費方式更新

新Common APP的付款方式有變化:不再接受郵寄支票。針對國際學生,如果沒有美國信用卡和賬戶,可以通過Sallie Mae提供一個新的在線支付方式付款。
