六月的第三個(gè)星期天就要到來了，同學(xué)們那一天是什么節(jié)日呢?對(duì)!那一天就是父親節(jié)啊!同學(xué)們你們知道父親節(jié)的由來嗎?原來它源于美國，在 州士波肯市有一個(gè)杜德夫人，當(dāng)她參加完教會(huì)舉辦的母親節(jié)主日崇拜之后，杜德夫人 的心里有了很深的感觸，她心里想著：「為什么這個(gè)世界沒有一個(gè)紀(jì)念父親的節(jié)日呢?母愛深似海，父愛重如山。人們?cè)趹c祝母親節(jié)的同時(shí)，并沒有忘記父親的功績(jī)。

那年，正好是斯馬先生辭世之年，當(dāng)杜德夫人參加完教會(huì)的母親節(jié)感恩禮拜后，她特別地想念父親;直到那時(shí)，杜德夫人才明白，她的父親在養(yǎng)育兒女過程中所付出的愛心與努力，并不亞于任何一個(gè)母親的辛苦。

杜德夫人的奔走努力下，士波肯市市長(zhǎng)與華盛頓州州長(zhǎng)公開表示贊成，于是美國華盛頓州便舉行了全世界的第一次父親節(jié)聚會(huì)。

年美國總統(tǒng)科立芝支持父親節(jié)成為全美國的節(jié)日;美國總統(tǒng)尼克森簽署正式文件，將每年的六月第三個(gè)主日，訂為全美國的父親節(jié)，并成為美國永久性的國定紀(jì)念日。
