01-The DNA of Success Earl Mann
Today we're going to talk about DNA:that thing that makes you who you are, that thing that makes you who you can became, that thing that is coded into your essence and determines what your capacity is, what your limits are!Your DNA is your “Decisions and Actiongs.”That's what determines who you are!
If you do enough research and listen to enough scientists on human potential, they will tell you that you are precisely where you are in life because of the decisions and actions that you've taken up to this point.Understanding this is critical to going forward decisions and actions up to this point, then who you are tomorrow will be the result of all the decisions and actions you take between now and then. So, understanding that, getting your hands and mind around this DNA, is the key.Every decision you make, every action you take is either in support of or in opposition to your achievment of whatever you have determined as your own individual success. But understand this: If you have the winner's DNA, everything changes.Everything is changing. You look out into the world and you see allies instead of enemies. You see keys instead of locks. You seesolutions instead of obstacles.Getting your mind around these“Decisions and Actions” makes your path to your individual goals that much clearer.People with the winning DNA don't even request that it be fair. They just request that it be worth it because if they konw that is necessary, is that you understand that the only thing between you now and you where you want to be is all the “Decisiongs and Actions” that you can squeeze in between.Give yourself a DNA test.Ask youself, “What are the decisions I am making and what are the actions I am taking? Why am I making those decisions? Why an I taking those actions? Where are those decisions taking me? Where are those actions leading me? Are they taking me to a place that is worth it?” If they are, then we will all see you when you arrive;because there is nothing on this planet that can stop you.Decide.Act.And expect a great day!

02-On Achieving Success Ernest Hemingway
We cannot travel every path.Success must be won along one line.We must make our business the one life purpose to which every other must be subordinate.I hate a thing done by halves. If it be right, do it boldly. If it be wrong, leave it undone. The men of history were not perpetually looking into the mirror to make sure of their own size.Absorbed in their work they did it.They did it so well that the wondering world sees them to be great, and labeled them accordingly. To live with a high ideal is a successful life.It is not what one does, but what one tries to do, that makes a man strong.“Eternal vigilance,” it has been said, “is the price of liberty.” With equal truth it may be said, “Unceasing effort is the price of success.” If we do not work with our might, others will;and they will outstrip us in the race, and pluck the prize from our grasp.Success grows less and less dependent on luck and chance.Self-distrust is the causeof most of our failures. The great and indispensable help to success is character.Character is a crystallized habit, the result of training and conviction.Every character is influenced by heredity, environment and education. But the architect of his own character, he would be a fatalist, and irresponsible creature of circumstances.Instead of saying that man is a creature of circumstance, it would be nearer the mark to say that man is the architect of circumstance. From the same materials one man builds palaces, another hovel.Bricks and mortar are mortar and bricks, until the architect can make them something else. The true way to gain much is never to desire to gain too much.Wise men don't care for what they can't have.
03-The More Loving One W.H.Auden
Looking up at the stars, I konw quite well
That, for all they care, I can go to hell,But on earth indifference is the least. We have to dread from man or beast. How should we like it were stars to burn
With a passion for us we could not return?
If equal affection cannot be,Let the more loving one be me.Admirer as I think I am
Of stars that do not give a damn,I cannot, now I see them, say
I missed one terribly all day. Were all stars to disappear or die
I should learn to look at an empty sky
And feel its total dark sublime
Though this might take me a little time.

04-Empty Your Cup John Suler
A university professor went to visit a famous Zen master. While the master quietly served tea, the professor talked about Zen.The master poured the visitor's cup to the brim, and then kept pouring. The professor watched the overflowing cup until he could no longer restrain himself.“It's overfull! No more will go in!” the professor blurted.“You are like this cup,” the master replied, “How can I show you Zen unless you first empty your cup.”

05-Dusk David J.Ebner
Looking into the sunset I can't help but notice that despite her beauty, a sense of struggle and hopelessness surround the sky.Deep insede you realize that this day is gone and everything that it had brought is lost forever.Every thoutht, every action, every dream, every hope, every sight, every sight, every sound is gone. There is no chance of every being returned the same, exactly the same. For every moment has a limit to what it can capture,Even memory has a limit to what it can retrieve. And the colours in the sky try to entertain us.One last act with painted smiles, for they too konw that nothing can be done to save the day.So futile their attempt to comfort our fear of the night, our horror as we try to find our way, like children who wander into a forest and never return.I am ingratiated by the sunset because of her sensitivity as she tries to push the darkness back for just a moment more. But like so many times before...To no avail!

06-A Better Tomorrow Herbert Clark Hoober
People often wonder why historians go to so much trouble to preserve millions of books, documents and records of the past. Why do we have libraries? What good are these documents and the history books? why do we record and save the actions of men, the negotiations of statesmen and the campaigns of armies?
Because, somethings, the voice of experience can cause us to stop, look and listen. And because, sometimes, past records, correctly interpreted, can give us warning of what to do and what not to do.If we are ever to create enduring peace, we must seek its origins in human experience and in the record of human idealism. From the story of the fortitude, courage and devotion of men and women, we create the inspirations of youth. From stories of the Christain martyrs, right down to Budapest's heroic martyrs of today, history records the suffering, the self-denial, the devotion and the heroic deeds of men.Surely from these records there can come help to mankind in our confusions and perplexities, and in our yearnings for peace. The supreme purpose of history is a better world.History gives a warning to those who would promote war.History brings inspiration to those who seek peace. In short, history helps us learn.Yesterday's records can keep us from repeating yesterday's mistakes. And from the pieces of mosaic assembled by historians come the great murals which represent the progress of mankind.

07-August(Excerpt)Charles Dickens
There is no month in the whole year, in which nature wear a more beautiful appearance than in the moth of August.Spring has many beauties, and May is a fresh and blooming month, but the charms of this time of year are enhanced by their contrast with the winter season.August has no such advantage. It comes when we remember nothing but clear skies, green fields, and sweet-smelling fowers--when the recollection of snow, and ice, and bleak winds, has faded from our minds as completely as they have disappeared from the earth--and yet what a pleasant time it is!Orchards and cornfields ring with the hum of labours;trees bend beneath the thick clusters of rich fruit which bow their branches to the ground;and the corn, piled in graceful sheaves, or waving in every light breath that sweeps above it, as if it wooed the sickle, tinges the landscape with a golden hue.A mellow softness appears to hang over the whole earth;the influence of the season seems to extend itself to the very wagon, whose slow motion across the well-reaped field, is perceptible noly to the eye, but strikes with no harsh sound upon the ear.
08-Good Mistakes Dave Balch
It's good to make mistake, and here's why.First of all, mistakes are a clear sign that you are trying new things. It's always good to try new things because when you are trying new things you are growing. If you never try anything new, how can you improve? How can you expand? How can you innovate? The simple answer is, “You can't” Look around you. With very few exceptions, either everything you see in your physical world or every single detail of single thing is the result of someone trying something new.Another good thing about mistakes is this: when you are making mistakes, you are learning.Consider this: Edison failed 10000 times before he perfected the light bulb. When asked how it felt to fail that many times, he remarked that he hadn't failed 10000 times, but rather had learned 10000 things that didn't work. Finally, when you make a mistake you are that much closer to success. Why?
Because when all is said and done, you will have tried some finite number of things before you succeeded.Every time you made a mistake you eliminated one of those things and are one step closer. But this all doesn't mean that you should forge ahead with disregard for the consequences of a mistake.Quite the contrary, when you try something new you have to be willing to set some reasonable limits so that, in the event that it doesn't work out the way you want it to, you will be in a position to try again. We all have limited resources inthe form of time and money so don't blow them all on one approach to a problem.Realize that it probably won't be perfect the first time and allocate these resources appropriately so you can learn, modify, and try it again.Only by embracing and using your mistakes in this way can you make significant advances in your business and your career. There is an old axiom that goes, “If you're not making miatakes, you're not trying hard enough.”
So go forth and make miatakes.And learn.And grow.And prosper.
09-The Beauty of Nature Ralph Waldo Emerson
Nature satisfies by its loveliness, and without any mixture of corporeal benefit.I see the spectacle of morning from the hilltop over against my house, from daybreak to sunrise, with emotions which an angel might share, I look out into that silent sea.I seem to partake its rapid transformations;the active enchantment reaches my dust, and I dilate and conspire with the morning wind. How does Nature deify us with a few and cheap lelments!Give me health and a day, and I will make the pomp of emperors ridiculous. The dawn is my Assyria;the sunset and moonrise my Paphos, and unimaginable realms of faerie;broad noon shall be my England of the senses and the understanding;the night shall be my Germany of mystic philosophy and dreams.

10-Time for Sunshine Joseph Ghabi
Having spring around makes you feel different after such a long winter journey. How well do you feel when effect does it have on our payche? The power of sunshine brings us a lot of comfort, optimism, self-confidence and of course a smile.Imagine how great it would be if we were so positive all year round!
Living like this is possible if you really think about it.In order to exist in such a state of happiness though, we must have sunshine radiating from within ourselves, shining from our hearts, our minds and from our souls.I bet many of you are reading this now and saying, “Yeah, that is easier said than done!” And what do we say to that? Well, in the end that's your choice, and if you think that way then your own life will reflect that attitude of yours!
In order to make “sunshine” or rather, “l(fā)ight” a part of our being, it is so important that you watch your thoughts, your words and your actions so that you do not contradict what you really feel you'd like to create in your own life.Watch your thoughts and really become aware of how many negative thoughts pass through your mind about yourself and other people around you.Watch to see how often you gossip about other people, and when you become aware of it you will see how often it is actually attached with feelings of jealousy, envy and insecurity about yourself. You should also take a close look at your “intention”.How many of you do something for another person without expecting to receive something in return? It might not even have to be a material or physical thing you expect;expecting recognition or acknowledgement for what you have intention.Think about it!We may not always pay attention to what our true intentions are behind our words, thoughts and actions because many of us are not aware of the power and effect they have when it comes to creating our lives.Putting all of these together, it seems that most of us are creating monsters insede of us just by simply talking, thinking and not putting our heart out with the right intention towards helping someone else. All of these things are born from a “negative” attitude and will not help us in any way at all when it comes to bringing a brighter “sunshine” into our lives. If you took all your negative attitudes in one hand and measured your need to feel “sunshine” in the other, you would see how both these elements really contradict each other.Be brave and break your patterns and your habits this spring, and by doing so you will allow the true sunshine to take place by radiating out from your heart and into your life and the lives of the people who are around you!
11-Let Us Smile Anonymous
The thing that goes the farthest toward making life worthwhile,That costs the least and does the most, is just a pleasant smile.The smile that bubbles from the heart that loves its fellow men,Will drive away the clouds of gloom and coax the sun again.It's full of worth and goodness, too, with manly kindness blent;
It's worth a million dollars, and it doesn't cost a cent.These is no room for sadness when we see a cheery smile;
It always has the same good look;it's never out of style;
It nerves us on to try again when failure makes us blue;
The dimples of encouragement are good for me and you.It pays the highest interest--for it is merely lent;
It's worth a million dollars, and it does't cost a cent.A smile comes very easy--you can wrinkle up with cheer,A hundred times before you can squeeze out a salty tear;
It ripples out, moreover, to the heartstrings that will tug,And always leaves an echo that is very like a hug.So, smile away!Folks understand what by a smile is meant;
It's worth a million dollars, and it doesn't cost a cent.

12-Choosing Words to Create Success Annette Colby
Did you know that you can increase your ability to be successful by consciously choosing the right words? It's true!Let's say you're motivated, excited even, to create change in your life. You've even gone so far as to put your well-formed goals down in writing. From there, you've determined your first steps to begin the process of changing your eating habits and exercising more. You've got enormous enthusiasm and konw exactly what it is you're going to do.You choose your goal for tomorrow, and then inadvertently cripple your success before you even start. You say, “I'll try.”
What does “I'll try” mean? It means you've given yourself an out.Should some obstacle surface, you now have a built-in escape route that gets you off the hook. The word presupposes failure. It lacks intention and confidence. You are sowing doubt in your own mind.It says, “Alright, I'll give it a go, but I can't really see it working out.”
Now observe what it feels like to say “I am”.For example, “I am now committed to feeling good by honoring my decision to walk 20 minutes today.” If it does't feel right, then you've selected a goal that is something other than your natural first step.Back up and find the action step you are readly to undertake. It doesn't matter how small and insignificant it may seem at the time. You're better off starting with something teeny-tiny and achieving success, than starting with something you alreadly know you're not ready for.The wise Lao-Tzu noce stated, “A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.” Make sure you are able to complete your first step.Perhaps having revised your initial starting point, again notice what it feels like to say, “I am now”.This phrase directs you and says that you have power and intention. It says that you belive in what you are saying and you will find a way to make it happen. You've made a commitment to yourself that you've chosen to honnor. It says that you will find a way to get it done even if things get in the way.It means that even if difficulties pop up, you'll find some way to stick to your intent.Once you find a plan of action that seems doable, forget trying to do it.To try to do something is to not do it.Instead, declare whole-heartedly, “I am now achieving this!”

13-Are You Ignoring That Little Thought? Caroline Jalango
What happened to that brilliant idea that you noce had? Did you ignore it because you thought that it was just a little thought?
Have you ever considered what that little thought would have become if you had acted on your instincts or if you had paid more attention to it?
Imagine a scenario, where you are sitting at home watching television or reading a book, suddenly a light bulb is turned on in the dark tunnel of your mind as a thought or an idea crosses your mind. The thought catches your attention but sems so meaningless and you are tempted to discard it, but wait a minute!
That thought could be the potential beginning of the success you have so much yearned for.As the thought crosses your mind, your senses become aleft and you suddenly see a possibility, a realization, a solution, a conclusion, or find the answer to a problem whose solution has long eluded you.It is almost as if a divine being has whispered the perfect solution into your ear or awakened your senses to a reality thereby bringing illumination to your life.It is like finding the last piece of a jigsaw puzzle. This becomes an AHA moment and everything freezes around you as you excitedly try to grasp the practicality of that little but powerful thought.Your self-confidence and enthusiasm increase as you become conscious of the great possibilities that can arise if that little thought is acted upon. This becomes the moment to build upon that thought and to write down any ideas that are streaming from that little thought for later review.Seemingly meaningless little thoughts or ideas when acted upon have a potential to explode into great projects. Many successful projects have been born from the little positive thoughts that were carefully nurtured and recognized as tickets to great things. You may have heard people say many times that it just came to me in a flash. In a flash moment, a small idea or seemingly meaningless thought may cross your mind about something you have been planning to accomplish.Don't waste an opportunity to act on a potentially brilliant idea. You don't have to wait for a major idea, a master strategy, or approval from your peers in order for you to act on that little thought. That little thought or idea is the beginning of great things if you decide to follow it through.

14-A Time to Awake Dawn
What has become of your fondest dream? If you were guatanteed success, what would you dare to attempt?
We all have dreams, deep insede...those moments when we take a voyage in our imagination, into a world where everything was possible, a world where fear is a strange concept, limits are non-existent and we are at peace with ourselves. How come our dreams remain just those dreams? Why are we stuck in jobs we hate, held bound by the fear of the unknown, if we dare to stand up and walk away?
Every new day seems to take us farther away from our dream.Sometimes we get so caught up in the rat race;our dreams seem like a distant memory.Little by little we let our dreams die.How come our biggest dreams don't come ture? The answer is not a profound revelation from the east, culled from wisdom of the ancients. It is so simple;you begin to wonder why it skipped you all these years. Our dreams simply don't come ture because we keep on sleeping after draeming. We don't wake up, get out of bed, and do something about it.The best dreams come to pass when you are awake.Sometimes we actually wake up and take one giant leap for mankind. Then we plummet back to earth, lick our wounds, and convince ourselves that it is not feasible and promptly go back to sleep.Sometimes we give it a second or third shot, before we say goodbye and return to Status Quo Avenue.Well, we gave our best shot...The noly way our dreams can come true, is when we start doing something about it.Start with a baby step, one tiny step after another. With time, you will be amazed by how far you had gone. The more steps you take in the direction of your dreams, the bolder you become.Soon you start seeing shafts of light at the end of the tunnel. The closer you get, the more feasible it becomes.Gradually, your fears begin to ebb away.Taking the first step is a scary business. You can determine the magnitude and direction of that first step. Some folks take the bull by the horn, quit their day jobs, and go for it.Others keep their day jobs, and moonlight ai sun down, till they get to the point they can comfortably fire their boss. For others still, it means a change of career.Whichever route you take to the land of your dreams, the starting poiont is waking up, and doing something. Then keep on keeping on.It is noly a matter of time. You will get there.
15-Increasing Confidence Robert Stuberg
The world is changing rapidly and most people are very anxious about it.In fact, I think it might even be stronger and more accurate to say that most people are downright fearful of what they see going on around them.Technological change and innovation are completely altering many aspects of our lives and it dosen't stop there.Econormic changes, social changes, scienticfic changes, political changes...the list is endless. However, the big question we all face is how are we going to respond to these changes?
While the specific answers about what to do take time and thought to uncover, the best way to approach the future and all of the changes it will bring can be summed up in one word: Confidence.Personal confidence is one of the greatest assets we all possess.Certainly some people seem to have much more of it than others but I believe that confidence is a skill that we can all develop. In some ways, it is undoubtedly the most important skill we can develop. With confidence, all things are within the realm of possibility.Without confidence, even the smallest challenges seem insurmountable. What I find fascinating is that people with confidence always seem to end up on top. They seem to overcome the obstacles that stand in their way. It's as if problems and challenges run from the person who has confidence.I think what's so difficult for most people is the belief that confidence has to be based on having a specific solution at hand but that's just not ture. What we all respect and admire is the person who can stand up agains overwhelming difficulties and persevere without an answer. Here's the secret that most people never get.Life's challenges are no match for the person with unstoppable confidence.Whilethe problems or challenges might seem too big to be overcome, the person with confidence always finds a way to win regardless of the circumstances.Ultimately, life's challenges fun and hide from the person that maintains confidence. This is a hard lesson to learn. The problems of life seem so big and scary and we often think of ourselves as so small and fragile. But that's not the way it is.That's the illusion that most people buy into, but it'snot the truth. The truth is that we are bigger than anything that can ever happen to us in life.We have the power and ability to overcome any obsacle in our path. And the most important tool we possess is personal confidence, believing in our ability to overcome the current challenge just like we have done so many times in the past.Whatever challenge is currently in your life, know that it's there to help you grow and expand.Use the problems you encounter to help you build your personal confidence.Remember, you wouldn't have the problem if you didn't have the power to overcome it.Expanding your personal confidence will allow you to take on whatever you need to in order to fultill your personal mission.
16-Success Is on the Other Side Stuart Rosen
Everybody wants success. Some people aim for it;others just talk about it.We all know what it looks like, when someone else has it.Oftentimes it just seems like something too far out of reach. The truth is: Success is closer than you think. It's just on the other side. You have to want it enough, and be willling enough to get it.On the other side of fear
Fear is your biggest obstacle--fear of failure;fear of the judgment of others;fear of actually succeeding. It will trip you up every time.It will cause you to make decisions that may seem “right” at the time, but they're preventing you from actually getting over that wall.On the other side of excuses
Success has no excuses. You either get it or you don't.The minute you find a reason not to take another step towards success is the moment you stop being successful. In the symphony of success, excuses are just noise. On the other side of obstacles
Everyone faces changes;different ones at different times. We all handle the same challenges differently;we all have different results. It's how you handle each one and what you do with you do with the results that count. An obstacle is something you either find a way around or allow to stop you.Remember, you've got to get passed obstacles in order to succeed. On the other side of failures
Not everything works;even if it works for other people, the same thing just doesn't work for us.So what? Failure can either become an obstacle and an excuse or it can become your teacher in what not to do.It takes effort, commitment and follow-through.They call it a ladder of success for a reason, because you need to climb it in order to get somewhere. It's not an escalator. You have to do the work yourself.Sometimes it will be easy;other times you'll be carrying a heavy load on your shoulders. The ladder remains the same.Success still waits on the other side. It's going to take ditermination and persistence on your part to get up and over that wall.Which side do you want to be on?

18-The Cobbler and the Banker La Fontaine
The cobbler passed his time in singing from morning till ninght;it was wonderful to see, wonderful to hear him;he was more contented in shoes, than was any of the seven sages. His neighbor, on the contrary, who was rolling in wealth, sung but little and slept less.He was a banker;when by chance he fell into a doze at daybreak, the cobbler awoke him with his song. The banker complained sadly that providence had not made sleep a saleable commodity, like edibles or drinkables.Having at length sent for the songster, he said to him, “how much a year do you earn, master Gregory?”
“How much a year, Sir?” said the merry cobbler laughing, “Never reckon in that way living as I do from one day to another;somehow I manage to reach the end of the year;each day brings its meal.”
“Sometimes more, sometimes less;but the worst of it is,--and, without that our earnings would be very tolerable--a number of days occur in the year, on which we are forbidden to work;and the curate, moreover, is constantly adding some new saint to the list.”
The banker, laughing at his simplicity, said, “In the future I shall place you above want.Take this hundred crowns, preserve them carefully, and make use of them in time of need.”
The cobbler fancied he beheld all the wealth which the earth had produced in the past century for the use of mankind.Returning home, he buried his money and his happiness at the same time.No more singing;he lost his voice, the moment he acquired that which isthe source of so much grief.Sleep quitted his dwelling;and cares, suspicions, and false alarms took its place, all day, his eye wandered in the direction of his treasure;and at night, if some stray cat made a noise, the cat was robbing him.At length the poor man ran to the house of his rich neighbor;“Give me back.” said he, “sleep and my voice, and take your hundred crowns.”

20-Concentration Anonymous
After winning several archeery contests, the young and rather boastful champion challenged a Zen master who was renowned for his skill as an archer. The young man demonstrated remarkable technical proficiency when he hit a distant bull's eye on his first try, and then split that arrow with his second shot.“There,” he said to the old man, “see if you can match that!” Undisturbed, the master did notdraw his bow, but rather motioned for the young archer to follow him up the mountain.Curious about the old fellow's intentions, the champion followed him high into the mountain until they reached a deep chasm spanned by a rather flimsy and shaky log, Calmly stepping out onto the middle of the unsteady and certainly perilous bridge, the old master picked a far away tree as a target, drew his bow, and fired a clean, direct hit.“Now it is your turn,” he said as he gracefully stepped back onto the safe ground.Staring with terror into the seemingly bottomless and beckoning abyss, the young man could not force himself to step out onto the log, no less shoot at a target.“You have much skill with your bow,” the master said, sensing his challenger's predicament, “but you have little skill with the mind that lets loose the shot.”
21-The Gift of Insults Anonymous
There once lived a great warrior.Though quite old, he still was able to defeat any challenger. His reputation extended far and wide throughout the land and many students gathered to study under him.One day an infamous young warrior arrived at the village. He was determined to be the first man to defeat the great master.Along with his strength, he had an uncanny ability to spot and exploit any weakness in an opponent. He would wait for his opponent to make the first move, thus revealing a weakness ,and then would strike with merciless force and lightning speed. No one had ever lasted with him in a match beyond the first move.Much against the advice of his concerned students, the old master gladly accepted the young warrior’s challenge. As the two squared off for battle, the young warrior began to hurl insults at the old master. He threw dirt and spit in his face. For hours he verbally assaulted him with every curse and insult known to mankind. But the old warrior merely stood there motionless and calm. Finally ,the young warrior exhausted himself.Knowing he was defeated, he left feeling shamed.Somewhat disappointed that he did not fight the insolent youth, the students gathered around the old master and questioned him.“How could you endure such an indignity? how did you drive him away?”
“If someone comes to give you a gift and you do not receive it,” the master replied, “to whom does the gift belong?”

I wish that I could tell every person that I meet that he or she is a beautiful person--and have them believe it.I wish I could look them in the eyes and tell them of their beauty and have them accept the words for what they truly are--the truth, plain and simple. You and I both know that most people will deny their beauty, expressing what they feel is modesty or humility. It's easier for us to be told that we're talented or intelligent--our own beauty is something that we don't want to face. You could help me to convince people of their innate beauty. You could agree with me in an effort to reinforce the message. You coule give a few specifics to illustrate just what we're talking about when we say the person is beautiful. You could reassure the person that I'm not saying it to flatter or to try to win the person over or get something out of the person, but just trying to express in words the beauty I see when I look into that person's eyes and see the human being there, the person who gets happy and hurt and who laughs and who cries. You can help me by reminding the person that beauty isn't about comparing ourselves with others, but about the part of us shines when we love others and love life. It's not all physical and it's not all spiritual, but a tender combination of all that we are.

24-Don't Just Stand There!Michael Lee
Many people think that they have to accept whatever life throws at them. They'll say, “This is my fate, my destiny.I cannot change it.”
Of course not!
You don't have to suffer needlessly.Your destiny depends on you, not on any other external factors.I konw someone who say she just accepts what life gives her because she has done everything she can to improve it.Guess what her lifestyle is?
She wakes up in the morning, goes to work, comes back home, relaxes, chats with people, watches TV, then goes to sleep.Next day, the same routine cycle ensues.Huh!Is this what she calls “doing her best?”
She believes she has tried her best and just accepts it in her heart that this is the life that God has intended for her to live;that her luck can only change if God wills it.Of course God wants us to be happy and live our life to the fullest, but we have to do our share of exerting the effort to live the life of our dreams. You reap what you sow.You just don't sit around and wait for a million dollars to fall from the sky.You have to get off the couch, get your eyes off he TV screen, get your hands off the phone(unless it conributes to your success), and get your mind and body to work!
If your life is not meant the way you want it to be, don't just say: “Our time will come.” or “Things will get better some day.”
Don't expect your luck to change, unless you do something about it.If something goes wrong, don't just regard it as a temporary setback;bu use it as feedback.Learn your lesson, make the most of the situation, and do something to resolve the problem. It's not enough to think positive;you also have to act positive. If someone's life is in trouble, do you just hope and pray that things will turn out fine? Of course not!You got to do anything you can to save the person. So it is with your own life.It is not enough to hope for the best, but you have to DO your best.In other words, don't just sand(or sit)there, do something to improve your life!

26-A Way faring Song Henry van Dyke
O Who will walk a mile with me Along life's merry way? A comrade blithe and full of glee, Who dares to laugh out loud and free And let his frolic fancy play,Like a happy child, through the flowers gay That fill the field and fringe the way Where he walks a mile with me.And who will walk a mile with me Along life's weary way A friend whose heart has eyes to see The stars shine out o' er the darkening lea, And the quiet rest at the end o' the day--A friend who konws, and dares to say, The brave sweet words that cheer the way Where he walks a mile with me.With such a comrade, such a friend,I fain would walk till journey's end,Through summer sunshine, winter rain, And then? Farewell, we shall meet again!

Laugh, and the world laughs with you,Weep, and you weep alone. For the sad old earth must borrow its mirth,But has trouble enough of its own.Sing, and the hills will answer,Sigh, it is lost on the air.The echoes bound to a joyful sound,But shrink from voicing care.Rejoice, and men will seek you.Grieve, and they turn and go.They want full measure of all your pleasure,But they do not need your woe.Be glad, and your friends are many,Be sad, and you lose them all. There are none to decline your nectared wine,But alone you must drink life's gall.Feast, and your halls are crowded;Fast, and the world goes by.Succeed and give, and it helps you live, But no man can help you die. There is room in the halls of pleasure For a long and lordly train,But noe by noe we must all file on Through the narrow aisle of pain.

29-The Road Not Taken Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,And having perhaps the better claim,Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,I doubted if I should ever come back.I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood,and I—
I took the one less traveled by,And that has made all the difference.

30-You Are What You Do Mayling Soong
If the past has taught us anything, it is that every cause brings effect — every action has a consequence. This thought, in my opinion, is the moral foundation of the universe;it applies equally in this world and the next.We Chinese have a saying: “If a man plants melons, he will reap melons;if he sows beans, he will reap beans.” And this is true of every man’s life: good begets good, and evil leads to evil.True enough, the sun shines on the saint and sinner alike, and too often it seems that the wicked wax and prosper. But we can say with certitude that, with the individual as with the nation, the flourishing of the wicked is an illusion, for, unceasingly, life keeps books on us all.In the end, we are all the sum total of our actions.Character cannot be counterfeited, nor can it be put on and cast off as if it were a garment to meet the whim of the moment.Like the markings on wood which are ingrained in the very heart of the tree, character requires time and nurture for growth and development. Thus also, day by day, we write our own destiny, for inexorably we become what we do.This, I believe, is the supreme logic and law of life.
