love Good morning.my favorite teacher and classmates.It is my pleasure to take a speech here for all of you.The title of my speech today is: Love.What is love?The word love comes from Latin, its original meaning is continuous concern for others.As we can see, love has four letters, L O V E.L stands for listen, it requires us listen to the needs of others.O stands for only, we are all longing for the purest love.V stands for valued, valued opinions of others.E stands for excuse, be tolerant about the mistakes of others.This is the literal meaning of love.In fact, Love is varied and changeable, but roughly it can be divided into three categories: family love, fraternal love and amatory love.We have already enjoyed the family love over 20 years.About this I have a lot to say.Family love is what everyone longs for.the family love is the promise of spring, the cool of summer, the fruit of autumn, the warmth of winter.Families love bring the warmth and Supports to us.They are our beloved ones who deeply rooted in our heart.Family love is a kind of dutywhich can be felt, after that transforming duty into a habit.Family love is the starting of miss, but there is no end.Family love is infinite homesickness and the desire for family reunion.When we are faced with difficulties, when we failed the exam, when our jobs isn’t going well ,when we are short of money.just think of our families, think of the time we enjoy together ,we will feel relax and refreshed.they willcomfort us.they are our spiritual forces, they encourage us and give backing to us.We will gain the power to overcome the trouble and get outof the hardship.When we achieve success, they will feel proud and really happy for us.They will also encourage us to make more progress.Family love is invisible, no one can clearly say what she is like.Family love is free, nobody will let you pay the money for this reason.Family love in invaluable, there is nothing better than her.Family love is selfless, in the world does not have the thing to be able to sacrifice itself compared to her.Family love is endless, whenever, you can feel the existence of it.Family love is so treasured that we should cherish it carefully.Family members should understand to others.When we disagree with each other, wecan try to think in other people’s stand.Our parents and we grow up in different periods, that will almost certainly lead to arguments.When it happens, we should calm down first.Then think seriously about it.even if they make mistakes, we should also be considerate of them.Don't loas sight of the forest for its trees.Therefore it is necessary to make more exchanges with family members.We should often make phones to each other and let them know our current situation.Grimm’s Fairy Tales has such a story, grandpa is old, he often broke the bowl and usually spilled soup when eating.The son was very impatient and gave grandpa a wooden bowl, let him sit a side to eat lonely.The grandson saw what the son has done.Later, the son saw the grandson spelling wooden bowl with building block.The son asked the grandson what he was doing? And after he was 10 years old, he did a lot of jobs, such as newsboy, sailor, worker and coolie.And during this time, he read a lot of books and passages.Love of Life Life is one of the most mysterious things in the world.Because of its uncertainty, it can be wonderful or terrible at any time.And also, there is much time when you are laughing while some one is crying.It’s common, how to view our life is just how we love it.So, Love of Life is worth reading.Love of Life is a collection of short stories.And all the short stories are written by Jack London.And in fact love of life is one of the short stories, but, all the stories tell us to love our life.Then I will introduce the book to you in three parts.Firstly is the author.Jack London was born in 1876 in a peasant family.When he was a child, he suffered a lot because of poorness.For life, he had to work as a shepherd child when he was 8.When he was 17, he became a real sailor and hunted seals.And after his sea travel, he wrote down his experience into prose, helped him started his writing affairs.In 1916, he killed himself and until now, no one knows why.Then I will tell you something about the book.The book is a collection of Jack London’s short stories including 8 short novels.And Love of Life is the first novel in the book and it’s also one of the most famous novels of Jack London.The story is about a man walking down a river bank with his only friend Bill.There was no man but deer and wolves.He had to find food and survive from the situation.Unluckily, he sprained his ankle and then he fell behind.He called Bill but Bill still went forward rather than stop to wait.He wanted survival and believed that Bill is waiting for him somewhere and then find people who can help him.This faith kept him walking and surviving from hungry and wolf.The following days, he threw all his gold and kept walking forward.5 days later, he arrived beach and saw a big ship far away.He could only crawl because of weakness.And he found two things.His friend Bill was already dead with his gold and a sick wolf was following him.After fighting against the wolf, he drank wolf’s blood and fell asleep.Finally he was saved by sailors.The story is the most typical story that can tell us what author wanted to say.At last, I will tell you some idea of mine towards the book.Life will be the way you believe it.You love it, and it will also love you.You hate it, and it will become ugly.What beat the hungry, the loneliness, the wolf and the despair? They are courage and belief.So, hold the courage and belief and never loss it.And another thing I must mention.Choices is also important.Throw gold and live or hold it and die? It’s your choices.

Love is an immortal and everlasting topic for everybody.Today, I am going to share my experiences in love with all of you.But first of all, can anyone tell me how do you find yourself fall in love with somebody? It is some kind of chemical reactions between you and he/she? Yes, correct.What is love?

The ancien Greek philosophers have given us a clear picture on that.One day Plato asked his teacher Socrates what is love? The teacher asked him to go to the cornfield to pick the most golden ear, but he can only pick once a time and only move forward without turning back.Plato did as what his teacher said.As a result, he walked out of the cornfield with empty hands.Socrates asked Plato why he didn’t pick? He said: “becasue I could only pick once and cannot return, during the process, although I have seen the most golden and biggest one, I didn’t pick because I didn’t know whether there is better one in the front.When I move forwards, I found there is no better one so that I have lost the biggest and most golden one.That is the reason why I didn’t pick anything.Socrates said “that is love!” This story told us that if you are trying to pursue love intentionally, it will be in vain.Maybe love happens to come, I guess.Later on, I will expain my personal understanding on love.As a man who want to leave my descendants in the world, I have to find my lover.At first,as usual, I listed my criteria for my lover.They are appearance, job,education background and family.She must be a beaustiful girl with a decent job, talking in an elegant way and be the product of a hamonious family.To achieve this target, as a sensible man, I made a swot analysis.Swot is strength, weakness, oppotunites and threats.As for strength, I have a decent job, good education background, an apartment and a car.Sound great, isn’t it? But I am still not confident, because I still have my weaknesses.First, I have not so much experience with girls.Although sometimes I am humorous, I am not talktive.You know, to get along well with girls, communication skills are of vital importance.My appearance is on average, not attractive.In terms of opportunitis, since I am a hui nationality, I’d better find a girl as the same.Fortunately, hui girls are dominant in populaiton in Hohhot, therefore that means I have choices.Compared with other boys at the same age, I also have my advantages.About threats, I think for a single girl, she also has her judging criteria for her Mr.Right.There are also boys looking for their soul mates too.Bearing all these concepts in my mind, I began my journey of pursuing my love.But although I am in a segment market, the real situations still disappointed my One girl I met thought I didn’t treat her as with as her former boyfriend.The reason why she dumped him is that although he treat her well, he could not get along well with her family.I held the same opinion just as her former boyfriend, I love you not your family.So we broke up.Another girl wanted me to buy her a Iphone 5 with an overdraft card although we have knew each other for only about 2 month.So we broke up.“I am not using I phone 5, how could I buy an Iphone 5 for you?” the voice from the bottom of my heart says that.At last, I met with her, she really takes care of others, in the cinema, she asks my to switch my mobile phone to vibrating mode in order not to disturb others.Shespeakes in an casual way with eye contact to me.Although she doesn’t meet my criteria for lover, I know she is the one I am looking for.After the 101st pursuit of love, I finally find my love, how about you?

Will they laugh at me?” With all these questions, I forced myself to step out and stood in the middle of the carriage.My heart was pounding quickly, and my teeth were chattering.After taking a deep breath, I tried to make a self-introduction first.I found my pronunciation was not clear because of tension.No one paid attention to me except one, a foreigner!He was about 50 years old, wearing a blue suit and holding a briefcase.Maybe he is a businessman.He stood in front of me.While noticing I was looking at him, he gave me a smile, with kindness, support, and encouragement.I felt quite warm in my heart and relaxed myself.I didn’t think he could understand my Chinese speech, but his smile and attention gave me strength at that moment.I calmed myself down and continued.Gradually, I found back the fun of speech.My voice was louder and louder because of confidence.More and more people began to look in my direction.The gentleman listened to me attentively throughout my speech.When I finished my speech, he clapped his hands to me.Then, the passengers in the carriage applaud, too.I couldn’t help crying and dropping my tears.The train came to a stop at one station.The gentleman walked to me, gave me a big hug, as my father, and said, “You are great!Come on!” After saying this, he got out of the train, before I could say thank-you to him.In my opinion, love can be the support from a stranger, like the last leaf drawn by Old Behrman, like the smile given by the foreign gentleman.Terri once said, “Love is in front and all around us.” That is, love has no boundaries as long as you would like to give with sincerity.
