第十一屆“21世紀(jì)·澳門之星杯”全國英語演講比賽冠軍-清華大 學(xué)曹豐演講稿 our future: a battle between dreams and reality good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen: when i was in the primary school, i have a dream.i want to invent a device which could bring you from one place to another in no time at all.when i was in the secondary school, my dream was to study in my ideal university.and when eventually i got into the university, my dream was to graduate.ladies and gentlemen, the reality is not real.it is a barrier keeping us from all the possible fantasies.flying, for example, had been a dream to mankind for thousands of years.a hundred years ago, man could not fly was still regarded as the reality.now if that was really the reality, what did the wright brothers do? how did some of you get to macau? only when we believe that the reality is not real can we soar with our dreams.people say that our future is a battle between the reality and our dreams.and if, unfortunately, mr.reality wins this war, then i see no future of mankind at all.aids will never be curable as this is the reality;people living in the undeveloped countries will suffer from starvation forever as this is the reality;4)disputes among different countries would never be settled as this misunderstandings and intolerance is the reality.ladies and gentlemen, how many of you have a dream of being able to make a lot of money? please raise your hands.oh, quite a number of you!actually, ladies and gentlemen, this is not a dream, but a task.every one of us has to make a living, right? anyway i hope your task 第十屆“21世紀(jì)·外教社杯”全國英語演講比賽冠軍-南京大學(xué)夏鵬
演講稿 from walls to bridges im studying in a city famous for its walls.all visitors to my city are amazed by the imposing sight of the city walls, silhouetted by the setting sun with gold and shining lines.with old, cracked bricks patched with lichen, the walls are weather-beaten guards, standing still for centuries in protecting the city.our ancestors liked to build walls.they built walls in beijing, xian, nanjing and many other cities, and they built the great wall, which snakes through half of our country.they built walls to ward off enemies and evil spirits.this tradition has been maintained to this day as we still have many parks and schools walled off from the public.i grew up at the foot of the city walls, and ive loved them since my childhood.for a long time, walls were one of the most natural things in the world.my perception, however, changed after a hiking trip to the eastern suburbs, a scenic area of my city.my classmates and i were walking with some international students.as we walked out of the city, we found ourselves flanked by taller and taller trees, which formed a huge canopy above our heads.suddenly an international student asked me, where is the entrance to the eastern suburbs? were already in the eastern suburbs, i replied.he seemed taken aback, i thought you chinese have walls for everything.his remark set off a heated debate.at one point, he likened our walled cities to jails, while i insisted that the eastern suburbs were one of the many places in china that had no walls.that debate had no winners, but i did learn a lot from this international student.for instance, he told me that universities like oxford and cambridge were not surrounded by walls;the campuses were just part of the cities.i have to admit that we do have many walls in china, and as we are developing our country, we must carefully examine them, whether they are physical or intangible.we will keep some walls but tear down those that impede chinas篇二:英語演講比賽 演講稿(中英版)topic——tourism and ecology: learning through travel 第八屆“21世紀(jì)杯”全國英語演講比賽冠軍——顧秋蓓 a scene to remember gu qiubei shanghai international studies university advisor: gong longsheng good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.today i would like to begin with a story.下午好,各位先生女士們 there was once a physical therapist who traveled all the way from america to africa to do a census about mountain gorillas.these gorillas are a main attraction to tourists from all over the world;this put them severely under threat of poaching and being put into the zoo.she went there out of curiosity, but what she saw strengthened her determination to devote her whole life to fighting for those beautiful creatures.she witnessed a scene, a scene taking us to a place we never imaged weve ever been, where in the very depth of the african rainforest, surrounded by trees, flowers and butterflies, the mother gorillas cuddled their babies. yes, thats a memorable scene in one of my favorite movies, called gorillas in the mist, based on a true story of mrs.dian fossey, who spent most of bet lifetime in rwanda to protect the ecoenvironment there until the very end of her life. to me, the movie not only presents an unforgettable scene but also acts as a timeless reminder that we should not develop the tourist industry at the cost of our ecoenvironment. 1 / 3 deforestation to heat lodges is devastating nepal.oil spills from tourist boats are polluting antarctica.tribal people are forsaking their native music and dress to listen to u2 on walkman and wear nike and reeboks. all these appalling(令人震驚的)facts have brought us to the realization that we can no longer stand by and do nothing, because the very thought of it has been eroding(侵蝕)our resources.encouragingly, the explosive growth of global travel has put tourism again in the spotlight, which is why the united nations has made 2002 the year of ecotourism, for the first time to bring to the worlds attention the benefits of tourism, but also its capacity to destroy our ecoenvironment. now every year, many local ecoenvironmental protection organizations an: receiving donations--big notes, small notes or even coins--from housewives, plumbers(水管工人), ambulance drivers, salesmen, teachers, children and invalids(殘疾人), some of them can not afford to send the money but they do.these are the ones who drive the cabs, who nurse in hospitals, who are suffering from ecological damage in their neighborhood.why?
crossing the sea good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.the title of my speech today is crossing the sea.an english poet by the name of rudyard kipling once wrote in his poem we and they: all the people like us are we and everyone else is they we live over the sea while they live over the way we eat pork and beef with cowhorn-handled knives they who gobble their rice off a leaf are horrified out of their lives.when these lines first caught my eyes, i was shocked-how could two peoples remain so isolated and ignorant of each other in the past? todays society, of course, is an entirely different picture.those people who used to eat with cowhorn-handled knives might be very skillful in using chopsticks, and those people who used to gobble their rice might be as well have taken to fish and chips.indeed, just take china as an example: our modern life has been influenced by western style of living in so many ways that its no longer surprising to see teenagers going crazy about rock-and-roll, whole families dining out at mcdonalds and even rather elderly people dressed in apple jeans.however, these are only some expressions of the cultural changes taking place in our society today.what is really going on is a subtle but significant restructuring of the nations mentality.just look around.it is therefore evident that we as descendants of an ancient eastern civilization are already living under strong inf1uence of the western culture.but it is not only in china that we find the incorporation of the two cultures.take the chinese acupuncture as another example: this traditional treatment of diseases is finally finding its way to the west and hence the underlying notion that illness is resulted from the imbalance between yin and yang within the body--an idea which would strike any westerner as incredible in the past!ladies and gentlemen, we live in a great epoch when the global integration of economy and the information revolution have brought cultures of the world closer than ever before.we live in a particular era when countries, east and west, find themselves in need of readjusting their traditional values.we live, at the same time, at a critical juncture of our evolution because such problems as ethnic conflicts and regional unrest are increasingly posing a threat to the peace and happiness of the whole human race.to cope with such an era and to embrace an even brighter therefore, it is our sacred responsibility to promote the cultural exchanges and hence the mutual understanding between china and the rest of the world.it is my happiest dream that the new generation of chinese will not only grow up drinking coca-cola and watching hollywood, but also be blessed with the far-reaching benefits of multiple cultures;benefits that our forefathers had never, ever dreamed of.to end my speech, i would like to quote rudyard kipling again: all the people like us are we and everyone else is they but once you cross over the sea you will end by looking on we as only a sort of they thank you.
誰不是鐵下篇四:全國大學(xué)生英語英語演講比賽第一名_顧秋蓓_演講稿(絕對(duì)精彩)good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.today i would like to begin with a story.there was once a physical therapist who traveled all the way from america to africa to do a census about mountain gorillas.these gorillas are a main attraction to tourists from all over the world;this put them severely under threat of poaching and being put into the zoo.she went there out of curiosity, but what she saw strengthened her determination to devote her whole life to fighting for those beautiful creatures.she witnessed a scene, a scene taking us to a place we never imaged weve ever been, where in the very depth of the african rainforest, surrounded by trees, flowers and butterflies, the mother gorillas cuddled their babies.yes, thats a memorable scene in one of my favorite movies, called gorillas in the mist, based on a true story of mrs.dian fossey, who spent most of bet lifetime in rwanda to protect the ecoenvironment there until the very end of her life.to me, the movie not only presents an unforgettable scene but also acts as a timeless reminder that we should not develop the tourist industry at the cost of our ecoenvironment.today, we live in a world of prosperity but still threatened by so many new problems.on the one hand, tourism, as one of the most promising industries in the 21st century, provides people with the great all these appalling(令人震驚的)facts have brought us to the realization that we can no longer stand by and do nothing, because the very thought of it has been eroding(侵蝕)our resources.encouragingly, the explosive growth of global travel has put tourism again in the spotlight, which is why the united nations has made 2002 the year of ecotourism, for the first time to bring to the worlds attention the benefits of tourism, but also its capacity to destroy our ecoenvironment.now every year, many local ecoenvironmental protection organizations an: receiving donations--big notes, small notes or even coins--from housewives, plumbers(水管工人), ambulance drivers, salesmen, teachers, children and 1invalids(殘疾人), some of them can not afford to send the money but they do.these are the ones who drive the cabs, who nurse in hospitals, who are suffering from ecological damage in their neighborhood.why? because they care.because they still want their mother nature back.because they know it still belongs to them.the other night, as l saw the moon linger over the land and before it was sent into the invisible, my mind was filled with songs.i found myself humming softly, not to the music, but to some-thing else, someplace else.a place remembered, a place untouched, a field of grass where no one seem to have been except the deer.and no matter who we are, what we do and where we go, in our mind, theres always a scene to remember, a scene worth our effort to protect it and fight for it.thank you very much.篇五:英語演講比賽演講稿 youth hello, its a pleasure to meet you all.i am zhang xiaoming.i am from contract department this is my first speech contest, and i am really exciting..thankyou.50 years ago, in order to expel darkness for light, for the rich and powerful cni-23, a group of high-spirited youth with blood and lives to write the song the most magnificent song of youth, drawn on a most magnificent picture of the youth.thankyou 張曉明 合同部

Long long ago, in a land far away, there lived a beautiful young girl. She was very sad.Because her mother had died and her father had married again. His new wife had two ugly daughters, Esmerelda and Griselda
Soon after, her father also died and life immediately(立即)changed for the girl.
“You will be our servant(仆人), ”said her stepmother(繼母).“You will do everything we say.”
“You must sleep in the kitchens.” said the stepsisters.
There she had to do hard work from morning until evening, get up before daybreak(黎明), carry water, make the fires, cook, and wash.Besides(除了)this, the sisters did everything imaginable(可以想象)to hurt her. They made fun of her.In the evening when she had worked herself weary(厭倦), there was no bed for her.Instead she had to sleep by the hearth in the ashes(灰).And because she always looked dusty(塵土飛揚(yáng))and dirty, they called her Cinderella.“There are cinders(煤渣)all over your clothes!” exclaimed(喊叫)the stepmother.“ Cinderella. That's your new name.Clear these things away, Cinderella.”
“Cinderella!Cinderella!” Esmerelda and Griselda said.“Oh, how clever you are, Mama!”
One day, an invitation(邀請(qǐng))arrived from the palace.“Girls, listen to this,” said the stepmother.Cinderella was serving(準(zhǔn)備)the breakfast. She listened as her stepmother read the invitation.“The King is having a ball,” she said excitedly(興奮).“He is looking for a wife for the prince!Oh, my dears, this is wonderful. He will probably choose one of you, but it will be such a hard choice to make.”Am I invited too, stepmother?“ asked Cinderella.”You!Certainly(當(dāng)然)not!“ exclaimed(驚呼)her stepmother.”The thought of such a thing.A scruffy servant(破舊的仆人)going to a ball, when only beautiful ladies are invited!“
”Hah!Hah!“ laughed the stepsisters.”Beautiful! That doesn't include you, Cinderella!“
”You may help my two lovely girls to get ready,“ said her stepmother.”O(jiān)h,“ said Cinderella
”We shall all have new dresses, girls, and we shall go shopping today.Clear away these things, Cinderella.“
'Oh, I wish I could go to the ball,' thought(認(rèn)為)Cinderella. The day of the ball arrived and the whole day was spent preparing Esmerelda and Griselda.Cinderella did her best to make the sisters look pretty, but it was an impossible task. Finally, the coach arrived to collect the girls and their mother.Cinderella was very tired and she wandered back to the kitchens.”O(jiān)h, I did so want to go,“ she sighed(嘆氣)as she sat down by the fire.”What's to stop you?“ asked a voice(聲音).”Who's that?“ asked Cinderella, looking around.”I'm here by the door.“ A strange woman walked up to Cinderella.”I heard you the other day, wishing you could go to the ball.Well, the ball is this evening, and you're going.“
”But how?“ asked Cinderella.”What can you do?“
”Anything I want to,“ said the woman.”I'm your fairy(仙女)godmother, and I'm here to send you to the ball. She sat down.“Come now,” she said.“Dry those tears(擦干眼淚).We have work to do.I need a large pumpkin(南瓜), two mice(老鼠)and a frog. Can you find these?”
“Yes,” said Cinderella, mystified(迷惑)by the request(請(qǐng)求).“Off you go, then.”
When Cinderella found all the things, her fairy godmother took them all outside.“Now for the magic,” she said. She waved(揮舞)her hands and the air began to twinkle(閃爍)and sparkle(閃光).The pumpkin began to grow and change, until standing there was a coach. The mice changed into two fine footmen(步兵), the frog into the driver, and the rats(老鼠)into two beautiful horses to pull the coach.Cinderella clapped(拍)her hands.“It's beautiful!” she cried.“In you get,” said her fairy godmother.“But I can't go like this,” said Cinderella.“Like what?” asked the fairy godmother.“You look lovely to me.”
Cinderella looked at herself. While the magic had been working on the pumpkin, it had also been working on her.Instead of her ragged(破爛)dress she wore a beautiful ball gown(晚禮服), with glass slippers(玻璃鞋)on her feet.“Oh, fairy godmother,” said Cinderella.“It's lovely. How can I thank you?”
“By going to the ball,” said the fairy godmother.“Off you go, but remember, the magic stops working at midnight(午夜).Everything will change back then. Now go and enjoy yourself.”
“Good-bye, fairy godmother,” called Cinderella, as the coach swept off.Cinderella arrived at the palace(皇宮)and walked into the ballroom.Everyone stopped and stared(看著).“Who is she?” people asked, including her stepmother and stepsisters. The prince saw her, and had eyes for no one else for the rest of the evening.Cinderella danced only with the prince(王子), and as the evening passed, he fell in love with her.A clock chiming(報(bào)時(shí))reminded Cinderella of her fairy godmother's warning(警告).'It must be eleven o'clock,' she thought(告知), but she asked the prince.“What time is it?”
“Almost midnight,” he answered.“Oh, no!” cried Cinderella.“I must go!”
“You can't.Not now,” said the prince.“I must.” And Cinderella swept out of the room, and ran out of the palace. As she ran, the clock finished chiming.Cinderella's clothes changed back into rags(破布), and the coach and horses were nowhere to be seen. The prince tried to follow, but he couldn't catch up.When he reached(走到)the door, all he found was one glass slipper. He ran to the main door.“Was a beautiful girl just driven(趕)out of here?” he asked the guard(士兵).“No, your Highness.I've only seen a scruffy servant(邋遢的仆人)girl,” the guard answered.“I've lost her,” said the prince, and he returned sadly to the palace. The next morning, Cinderella's stepmother and stepsisters were talking about the ball. The prince meanwhile(同時(shí))decided to look for the mysterious(神秘)girl he had fallen in love with.He issued(發(fā)表)a proclamation(公告).“Whoever the glass shoe fits(合適), shall be wife to the prince.”
The prince and his footman(仆人)went from house to house of all the ladies invited to the ball.He finally arrived at the stepmother's house.“It's my shoe!” cried Esmerelda, trying desperately(穿)to pull the shoe on.“please, miss!” said the footman.“Your foot is too big.you will break the slipper(玻璃鞋).”
Griselda tried the shoe, but her toes were far too long.“Is there anyone else?” asked the prince.“There's only Cinderella, the maid(女仆),” said the stepmother.“But she wasn't even at the ball.”
“All the ladies in the kingdom(王國)must try the slipper,” said the footman.Cinderella was called from the kitchen.Esmerelda and Griselda laughed when they saw how dirty she was.But their laughter turned to tears when they saw Cinderella's foot slide easily into the slipper.“Oh!” they cried.“It fits!”
The prince looked at Cinderella and realised that she was the girl that he had fallen in love with.Cinderella took the other slipper from her pocket(口袋)and put it on.The prince was happy to have found her, and on a bright sunny day, he and Cinderella were married. They lived happily ever after.

YOUTH Hello,it's a pleasure to meet you all.I am Zhang Xiaoming.I am from contract department This is my first speech contest, and I am really exciting..Thankyou.50 years ago, in order to expel darkness for light, for the rich and powerful cni-23, a group of high-spirited youth with blood and lives to write the song the most magnificent song of youth, drawn on a most magnificent picture of the youth.Elders often say that we are people of this generation tank foam honey baby, with less sense of urgency, and less sense of responsibility.Indeed, compared with them, our lives more comfortable. But this does not mean that we can relax his efforts to reduce the duty on the shoulders.Today, we had the honor of this generation of young people living in the reform and opening up a good time, We are fortunate.Facing the new century, our responsibility.Li Dazhao had at “their youth,” one paper wrote: “burst the shackles of history, wash away the history of Tourette's plot, the new national life, to restore the nation's crisis.” Although we have today without the face of lost territory, subject to war without smoke, but The task before us is arduous same.We should strive to become Luxun described as “the creation of human history there has never been on the third generation.” dared not country" the world as, youth blood dedicated homeland, tenacious efforts and selfless dedication for the prosperity of the motherland and contribute their wisdom and strength of all.Today, we are filled with people of talent, and tomorrow are the pillars of society, it is necessary to set off waves of cni-23 take-off.Some people say that youth are a song, echoed the cheerful, beautiful melody; Some people say that youth is a draw, engraved with the rich, romantic colors. But in my mind, youth are composed of four parts:Aggressive Business Responsibility Strict fine

01】If I were a Boy Again
If I were a boy again, I would practice perseverance(毅力)more often, and never give up a thing because it was hard or inconvenient. If we want light, we must conquer darkness.perseverance can sometimes equal genius in its results.“There are only two creatures,” says a proverb, “who can surmount the pyramids—the eagle and the snail.”
If I were a boy again, I would school myself into a habit of attention;I would let nothing come between me and the subject in hand.I would remember that a good skater never tries to skate in two directions at once. The habit of attention becomes part of our life, if we begin early enough.I often hear grown-up people say “I could not fix my attention on the lecture or book, although I wished to do so” , and the reason is, the habit was not formed in youth. If I were to live my life over again, I would pay more attention to the cultivation of the memory.I would strengthen that faculty by every possible means, and on every possible occasion. It takes a little hard work at first to remember things accurately;but memory soon helps itself, and gives very little trouble. It only needs early cultivation to become a power. If I were a boy again, I would look on the cheerful side.Life is very much like a mirror: if you smile upon it, I smile back upon you;but if you frown and look doubtful on it, you will get a similar look in return.Inner sunshine warms not only the heart of the owner, but of all that come in contact with it.“who shuts love out ,in turn shall be shut out from love.”
Finally, instead of trying hard to be happy, as if that were the sole purpose of life, I would, if I were a boy again, I would still try harder to make others happy.【譯文】假如我又回到了童年,我做事要更有毅力,決不因?yàn)槭虑槠D難或者麻煩而撒手不干,我們要光明,就得征服黑暗。

★【演講稿05】Don’t give up
If we would ever accomplish anything in life, let us not forget that we must persevere. If we would learn our lessons in school, we must be diligent and not give up whenever we come to anything difficult. We shall find many of our lessons very hard, but let us consider that the harder they are the better they will do to us if we will persevere and learn them thoroughly. But there are some among us who are ready to give up when they come to a hard example in mathematics, and say, “I can't do this.” They never will if they feel so.“I can't” never does anything worthwhile;but “I'll try” accomplishes wonders.Let us remember that we shall meet with difficulties all through life. They are in the pathway of everyone. If we will only try and keep trying, we shall be sure to conquer and overcome every difficulty we meet with.If we have a hard lesson today, let us strive to learn it well and then we shall be prepared for a harder one tomorrow. And if we learn to master hard lessons in school, it will prepare us to overcome the hard things that we shall meet in life, when our school days are over.【譯文】

ends, we all know that in winter, nearly all the trees stop growing and nearly all the flowers stop blooming. But as spring is coming, the trees will turn green and all kinds of flowers will smile for us once again. That means trees and flowers can wither and then begin to grow again. But what about our lives? Each one of us has only one chance to live in the world, so we must treasure our lives!Living in the world is not easy for every person. But it is something that we all must do.We can own blue sky, the warm sunshine and all the beauty;only when we are alive, can we enjoy the pleasure of life;only when we are alive, can we do things. But if you lose your life, how can you love others and how can you make contributions to the world? So, please, treasure your life!
In fact we live in the world not only for ourselves, but also for all the people who love us.parents love us very much. When we are happy, they will smile cheerfully. But if we are in trouble, they immediately become sad.As parents, they only hope that we can live with them happily! So, we must also treasure our lives, for our parents!
To treasure your life, remember the following.First, you must learn to smile. If you are always smiling at others, others will smile at you.Smiling can help you overcome your sadness.Don’t cry to the world, just smile!Secondly, never lose heart.Nobody can always be successful in everything. We all fail at some time.please remember the saying, “Failure is the mother of success.” Just keep on showing your courage.Nothing difficult can stop you.Thirdly, imagine your bright future when you grow up.Maybe you will be a doctor, a write or a teacher, but whatever you do, the future must be helpful. So, now, love yourself, and after a few years you will enjoy the life you want. After all, we are still young. We shouldn’t worry about the future too much.We only need to live and study happily.Time is too short to waste. We must love our lives every day.Treasure your life. You can be successful in everything!

first, i would like to know, what does your destiny offer you? happiness, wisdom, a strong body or something else. if i had asked this question to president nixon, he would probably had said,”our destiny offers not the cup of despair, but the chalice of opportunity.” needless to say, one of the biggest opportunities given to china is the XX olympic games. till now, we have used two sevenths of the preparation time. how much changes have you seen? new roads, new subway lines, public-exercising equipments with beautiful colors, large blocks of grass fields, and also lots of modern gyms which are under construction. other than those, there are even more good effects brought to us by the olympic games that cannot be seen directly. for example, more and more people will get to know china. i’m sure the mysterious chinese culture will attract them strongly. and the games will also do good to the economy and environment, for it is gaining the attention of foreign investors and the awareness of environmental protection is being strengthened. what is more, olympic games give a unique opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of chinese youth with the olympic values and the olympic spirit.
now that we have seen so many advances, could you even imagine us losing the holding rights? i’ve already said a lot about the olympics and china. but i think everyone should use some time to think of this question, ”does the olympic games have any special meaning to you?” for us, i mean the chinese youth, XX olympic games is a tremendous gift. because what we are waiting for is to do something significant as repaying the love given to us .the society is just like a ship, and in our dreams the captain is waving his hand and saying ”hey! come here and take the helm! ”how charming his voice is, but we have never heard of it in our true life. this morning, however, when we wake up, we will see the olympi ic games waving its hand. after chewing, most of us will have at least one plan about what to do for the olympic games. and mine is to be a “comforter” ----that is someone who will give comfort to others. at the end of my speech, i hope all the preparation will go well, and everyone will show their ability to the world. let us seize opportunities and give a big smile to challenges.

Honourable judges, ladies and gentlemen:
Good afternoon! Today I would like to talk about the importance of keeping opti
mistic. When we encounter difficulties in life, we notice that some of us choose to bury their heads in the sand. Unfortunately, however, this attitude will do you no good, because if you will have no courage even to face them, how can you conquer them? Thus, be optimistic, ladies and gentlemen, as it can give you confidence and help you see yourself through the hard times, just as Winston Churchill once said, “An optimist sees an opportunity in every calamity; a pessimist sees a calamity in every opportunity.”
Ladies and Gentlemen, keeping optimistic, you will be able to realize, in spite of some hardship, there’s always hope waiting for you, which will lead you to the ultimate success. Historically as well as currently, there are too many optimists of this kind to enumerate. You see, Thomas Edison is optimistic; if not, the light of hope in his heart could not illuminate the whole world. Alfred Nobel is optimistic; if not, the explosives and the prestigious Nobel Prize would not have come into being. And Lance Armstrong is also optimistic; if not, the devil of cancer would have devoured his life and the world would not see a 5-time winner of the Tour De France.
A rose may be beautiful, or maybe not; that depends on your attitude only, and so does success, so does life. Hindrances and difficulties do exist, but if you are optimistic, then they are only episodes on your long way to the throne of success; they are more bridges than obstacles! Now I prefer to end my speech with the great British poet Shelley’s lines: “If winter comes, can spring be far behind?” Thank you!

Honorable teachers, ladies and gentlemen, and my fellow sutdents:
Good morning! It’s my pleasure to stand here to make a speech. First of all , let me introduce myself. My name is TongYao. I am from Class 2 Grade 7 in ChengGong middle school ! Today , my topic is : “Innovative Thinking”
Have you ever thought that what is Innovative Thinking ? Somebody will said ,“thinking something different !” In fact, it’s not so simple. Have you ever thought how to think something different ? Now , let me explain it to you in detail !
First , we should admit that Innovative ideas do start in one mind before taking on the world. Only in this way ,we have the power of Innovation . For example , the radio, television, telephone and so on, all were developed by scientists . And these scientists all had the ability and courage to think something different . It is a well know fact that Albert Einstein was the mastermind of the nuclear bombs .
Second , we should be good at discovering , and be able to break the conventions. Sometimes, there are a lot of subjects of Innovation around us . But more often we lack the ability of discovering So, only if we be good at discovering and summing up ,we can innovate lly, I want to say , as a middle school student in the new century, we must have the courage and confidence to make innovations.)And we should study hard for development of our country ! Because we are the builders of our motherland !
Honorable teachers, ladies and gentlemen, and my fellow sutdents, according to what I have said above , have you learnt more about the “Innovative Thinking” ? Of course ,you have ! I believe my speech is perfect ! And I also believe that as long as we expand our thinking , we will find something different . That’ s all ! Thank you for your listening!

In our daily lives, we have many choices to make, such as what to eat forsupper, what clothes to wear, or what to do on weekends. at certain times in ourlives, we need to make even more critical choices, such as which school toattend, what job to take or who to choose as husband or wife. yes, life is amatter of choice. seemimgly, it means a choice of tangible things. but inessence, it means choosing a way of life. life is to be lived, savored, andenjoyed, not to be wasted or complained about.
Hardly can we forget the time when our society faced the grave threat fromthe life-and-death disease--sars. yet, even during those dreadful times, someafflicted people remained optimistic. instead of wearing neutral white masks, some people turned to colouful ones, and thus display a happy mood. and somecreative people dubbed sars to mean “smile and remain smiling.” i was deeplytouched by their optimisim, nearly forgetting that we're still in a battle.people who survive these kinds of circumstances, (at some point)decide in theirminds to carry on in spite of the overwhelming odds.
Laid-off workers, typically regarded as the victims of economicadvancement, are subject to desperation that being unmeployed has brought onthem. but, encouragingly, we have witnessed some of them striving hard torebuild confidence toward life and discover new opportunities for demonstratingtheir values.
Although we cannot choose our appearance, inborn gifts and even avoidunexpected disasters and adversities, we do have the privilege to choose to liveoptimistcally,to love our lives, to have dreams, and to cherish hopes.

Honorable teachers, ladies and gentlemen, and my fellow sutdents: Good morning!
But more often we lack the ability of discovering So, only if we be good at discovering and summing up ,we can innovate .Finally, I want to say , as a middle school student in the new century, we must have the courage and confidence to make innovations.)And we should study hard for development of our country !
Thank you for your listening!

as quoted from “how to make steel”: the most precious thing to us is life. we can only live but once, thus, our life should be like this, when looking back, you don’t have to be regretful about those wasted time and shameful about the mediocre life. then till the end of his life, we can conclude that we have devoted our whole life to the most valuable thing in the world----dedication to human’s liberation. these sentences touch me most, and remind me to think about how we should live through our life, and what the most important thing in my life is! looking retrospectively about my past twenty years, lot’s of failures. but i know that the future is in my hand. there is one more important thing in my life is to cherish, cherish the person loves you and you love.
well, to be honest, i don’t think i was such kind of a filial daughter. because all i think about was to get away from then as far as possible, to free myself. i never have the feeling of homesick, even though when i stepped into my home and saw my lost-lost mother. in fact, my heart has been in self-approach.
but, what should i do? it seems strange for me to say “ i love you” to them, because they don’t need those unpractical words, by the way, i’m not good at it. so i decided to concentrate myself on study to repay them, which seems to be passive. but today, one thing happened strengthened my feeling about them.
i have sore throat all these days. i didn’t take it serious, because i think it will recover soon. however, the condition became worse. except headache, fever, runny nose, sore throat, slight tiredness, i was all right. to my disappointment, the latest clinic is being reconstructed, and i have no idea about other clinics. so i tended to my native friends for help, one was no answered, the other is shutdown. the first person hit upon my mind was my sister, who is far away from me. she did all she can to comfort me and give me suggestions. i didn’t realize it how touched i was as soon as i finished my conversation, my mother called me. i’ve been trying to ail myself, but without success, with large drops of tears rolling down upon my check. i can’t remember exactly what’s it saying on the other side, my helpless, lonely heart was saved eventually. in order not to let her worry, i turned off it in a hurry. how uselei was! with the helping of my roommate, i went to see the doctor. and now i’m better.
this small incident teaches me that the most important in our life is to cherish the person you love and the person loves you. my friends, we can only live but once. why not cherish and repay those you’ve owned? don’t regret till we are old!

There is only one failure called never try What is success? Different people have different ideas. You may say success is the realization of ones hopesand justified goals.Under such notion, however, people have different understanding of success because the hopes and goals they cherish vary from one another. There may ba so mangy kinds of success in the world that i cant enumerate them all.So maybe its difficult to set a defination for success. But ,in my opinion, its easy to define what is failure---there is only one failure called never try.Everyone has his dreams but not all of them dare to make it come true.Just like a huter aimed at his game but never fire or a soldier who crying out but never toward. They are afraid of failure that they might encounter. That reminds me of a game we used to play.
We put the chairs in a circle. And the player must pass through th barriers made by the chairs with his eyes covered up.He would be allowed to memorize the positions of the chairs. But as soon as his eyes is covered,we will remove all the chairs.Sometimes, our life is just like such kind of game.We tried our best not to bump against the barriers. But these things turn out to be existing only in our minds. And sometimes,we made them for ourselves. We dare not to participate a competition or get cold feet to call the boy or girl we love.It turns out that the barriers we made for ourselves lead to the loss of a lot of things.Dont give up trying untill you really bump against the chairs.Even so,at least you have a place to sit on.Some people would say i tried but i failed to pass an exam or to find a job.Iam a failure .But on the contrary,i prefer to call these things setbacks instead of failures. There is no failure in a winner s dictionary. It doesnt matter i you have a tumble , what really matters is that you lose the courage to stand up and give it another try.
The process is full of tears and pains.Just look back on how we learn to walk when we are young. If we gave up easily, today we may only crawl .If Tomas Edison gave up easily in finding a proper material to make a bulb, maybe we will live in the darkness after the sunset.Perhaps we need some torches to go on with our competition.I,myself,a shy person by nature who easily suffers from stage fright, had to get up my courage to take part in this speech contest like this.I could have stayed away and had an easy time of it by not coming here. But i chose to accept the challenge and to face the difficulties.
Now here i am.I will try my best because i know i would broaden my horizon and make a lot of friends here.I still remember the first time i sang a song at a party ,the first time talking to a foreign friends, the first time made a speech on the platform, etc.Although at first they almost scared me to death, but when it was over,i feel its worthing trying. There is a saying goes, people often regret what they didnt do instead of what they have done.Forrest Gump often says, life is like a box of chacolate ,you never know what you are gonna get.
I would say if the chacolate you got is not your favourite.Dont get upset but try the next.

once upon a time there were a fisherman and his wife who lived together in a filthy shack near the sea. every day the fisherman went out fishing, and he fished, and he fished. once he was sitting there fishing and looking into the clear water, and he sat, and he sat. then his hook went to the bottom, deep down, and when he pulled it out, he had caught a large flounder.
then the flounder said to him, “l(fā)isten, fisherman, i beg you to let me live. i am not an ordinary flounder, but an enchanted prince. how will it help you to kill me? i would not taste good to you. put me back into the water, and let me swim.”
“well,” said the man, “there's no need to say more. i can certainly let a fish swim away who knows how to talk.”with that he put it back into the clear water, and the flounder disappeared to the bottom, leaving a long trail of blood behind him. then the fisherman got up and went home to his wife in the filthy shack.
“husband,” said the woman, “didn't you catch anything today?” “no,” said the man. “i caught a flounder, but he told me that he was an enchanted prince, so i let him swim away.””didn't you ask for anything first?“ said the woman. ”no,“ said the man. ”what should i have asked for?“
”oh,“ said the woman. ”it is terrible living in this shack. it stinks and is filthy. you should have asked for a little cottage for us. go back and call him. tell him that we want to have a little cottage. he will surely give it to us.“”oh,“ said the man. ”why should i go back there?“ ”look,“ said the woman, ”you did catch him, and then you let him swim away. he will surely do this for us. go right now.“
the man did not want to go, but neither did he want to oppose his wife, so he went back to the sea.when he arrived there it was no longer clear, but yellow and green. he stood there and said: “mandje! mandje! timpe te! flounder, flounder, in the sea! my wife, my wife ilsebill, wants not, wants not, what i will?”the flounder swam up and said, ”what does she want then?“
”oh,“ said the man, ”i did catch you, and now my wife says that i really should have asked for something. she doesn't want to live in a filthy shack any longer. she would like to have a cottage.“”go home,“ said the flounder. ”she already has it.“
the man went home, and his wife was standing in the door of a cottage, and she said to him, ”come in. see, now isn't this much better?”there was a little front yard, and a beautiful little parlor, and a bedroom where their bed was standing, and a kitchen, and a dining room. everything was beautifully furnished and supplied with tin and brautensils, just as it should be. and outside there was a little yard with chickens and ducks and a garden with vegetables and fruit.
“l(fā)ook,” said the woman. “isn't this nice?”“yes,” said the man. “this is quite enough. we can live here very well.”“we will think about that,” said the woman.then they ate something and went to bed.
everything went well for a week or two, and then the woman said, “l(fā)isten, husband. this cottage is too small. the yard and the garden are too little. the flounder could have given us a larger house. i would like to live in a large stone palace. go back to the flounder and tell him to give us a palace.”“oh, wife,” said the man, “the cottage is good enough. why would we want to live in a palace?”

Accept the Gift from Life
Ladies and Gentlemen:
Today I’m glad that I’m standing here talking to you all. As the title given,I am going to talk you about a way of treating people and things in life. Myspeech here basically includes 2 parts,in the former of which I‘ll describe youthe present occasion we teenagers are in.,as well as the reason behind. Thenit’s about the several opinions of mine toward the case above.
Undoubtedly, every one of us has stepped into adolescence,a period of timewhere the most
exciting and mysterious changes take place. Boys, apparently become moreambitious. Girls,in some ways, start to dream and become more sensitive aboutthe world. All in all,as if our emotions become much stronger, somehow we’realways trapped in circles and struggling against something that can’t be changedanyway. We complain about how fragile our friendship is,how little people knowabout us,how unfair the life is,etc. It seems that every time we fail,we blameit to the tough conditions we’re in,while never notice a problem insideourselves, that we’re never satisfied.
Let’s just imagine that there was an old lady. What she sees was herneighbors’ being mean again while not how kind they were when they took care ofher sick body. What she saw was her dog’s annoying barking while not how muchloyalty it had shown. What she saw was always so depressing that it finallyturned her into an unpleasant person. Think about how our life would be if westand in her shoe.
Why don’t we focus our attention on how much we’ve already got in stead? Youknow it’s really simple to do as there’s a tremendous amount of examples. Likethe popular Jetpack Joy Ride on your Iphone, you can enjoy it whenever you like, whereas in some poor area people don’t even know such thing as Iphone.
Actually we should be thankful about the richness we’ve got, thankful thatwith each sunrise taking place we don’t need to starve to call it a day, thankful that the people we love are still in health, that we still got much tohold on. As a saying on website,” The world is tough, but I’m tougher.” Whatdoesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
Every day is a gift from life, all we need is to accept it,cherish thelessons life has taught us,so as to achieve our goal with high spirit. In thisway, someday when we leave the world,we leave no regrets.
Thank you for listening.

20 years ago, Wang and Xiao, two passionate junior high students, dared to dream, dared to act. Wang loved Michael Jackson’s dancing, and Xiao was addicted to playing guitar.
The two then formed a band, hoping that one day they could get on the stage and perform.
However, the reality has always been unsatisfactory. On the path of realizing their dream, the two suffered countless setbacks---from the fickleness of the world to conservative ideas of the society, from employment pressure to marriage pressure, and worse still, the rising of prices.
After 20 years’ torment, they compromised to the reality---Wang is now a barber, and Xiao is a wedding host.
Yet one day, they got to know that there was a talent show Happy Idol. They could not stop thinking of their original dreams of performing on the stage. And eventually they decided to participate.
This time, the two old boys, realized their dream. Once again, Wang played the guitar and sang. Xiao danced with preoccupation. The song they sang is a beautiful elegy to youth, a lament for all the things the post 80’s have lost along the way.
As was sung in the song, “dreams are always out of reach. Should I just give up? Have you realized your original dream? Or can we only mourn he present circumstances? Life is like a heartless chisel, changing our appearances. Must I wither before we blossom? I used to have a dream.”
This is the story in a hot online movie named The Old Boys. The movie has touched the hearts of almost all Chinese netizens, especially the post 80’s and 90’s. It makes them realize that, from the very beginning, we should choose to follow our heart, and follow our dream.
Robert frost wrote in his famous poem The Road Not Taken, “two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and I-I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference”.
In our life journey, we sooner or later will have to face the two spurroads. One leads to dream. The other leads to reality. Wanting wear, the dream road is grassy yet winding. The reality road, however, has been terribly trodden.
Why?
It’s because people are always struggling for the reality, having no time to fight for their dream.
Take the post 80’s generation as an example.
If you ask what their dreams are when they were kids. They might give you answers like becoming a scientist, a politician, or a great businessman. However, if you ask them now what their dreams are. They would tell you that they want to buy a house, a car; they want to have a secure job, a moderate income.
I got a question: where is their original dream now?
Actually, in face of the huge pressure from the reality, they have set aside their dreams.
Confronted with the college entrance exams, they spent 12 years in the ocean of papers. At last still not everyone could be admitted to their ideal university.
Confronted with the rising of house price, they will have to spend almost their whole life to earn a house.
Confronted with the pressure of raising family, they strive on their post day and night. When they go back home, tired with fatigue, they have no energy at all to think more about their original dreams.
It takes young people their whole life to fight with the reality. Meanwhile, their original dream fades out as well. Even if they have the passion, it still would be worn down by the pressure from the reality.
Living such a fail-fail life, how could one possibly get the real happiness?
How should we do then?
The dream road and the reality road diverge at the very beginning, and as the two roads extend to the distance, they would become even farther apart from each other.
Thus we need to make our choice at the very beginning: to dream, or to struggle with the reality.
I would say to young people that, it’s time for us to discard the pressure from the reality and follow our dream. It’s time for is to unburden our load and go to our Walden Ponds. It’s time for us to undertake the career that we have been dreaming of.
The housing price is high. So what? We could still choose Dwelling Narrowness.
College entrance exams are cruel. So what? If it really unfits you, then skip it and establish your own business.
Your girlfriend refuses to marry you simply because you have no money to buy a house. So what? I would say that she’s not the one deserves your love.
Stop hesitating, young people. If today is the last day of your life. You’ll know what to do! For the sake of not letting yourself regret when you grow older; for the sake of not letting yourself regret that the pain you have suffered does not pay you back any true happiness, please choose to follow your dream.
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and I-I took the dream road less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.

Today the topic of my impromtu speech is that when it is dark enough, you can see the stars. I can’t agree with this saying more. In my opinion, Darkness is about the frustrations. “enough” is about the effort and the “stars” are the hopes, dreams or success. So this saying teaches me three things: making my objective and direction clear, being prepared for wrestling with frustrations and difficulties and importantly, keeping in faith. So, I have three points to support my opinion.
First, we should make our objective and direction clear before we set out. We can’t see the stars during the day time. Is it because that there are no stars here? Of cause not. The stars are over there in the sky all the time. We can’t see them because they are hidden behind the sunlignt. So, we shouldnot waste our time. Rather, we should turn to the night to find our stars. So before we set out for our dreams. It’s very important to know what exactly we want and which direction to go to find it.
Second, we should be prepared for wresting with frustrations and difficulties. We can’t expect that the way to our objective are smooth and easy. In the darkness, we may feel cold, lonely and be afraid of some unexpected frustrations, just as on the way to our dreams and success. But, only in darkness could we see the stars. Similarly, only by experiencing harships and setbacks can we be clear about our goals and objectives. So, we should be not afraid of the difficulties we have to experience. Rather, we should hold a positive attitude to fully prepared for them.
The last but not the least point is that we should keep in faith and don’t give up. Sometime we may feel disappointed after having been working hard for such a long time but still can’t reach our dreams. But, we shouldn’t give up and instead we should just keep in faith. May be our efforts are not enough. We need to work hard and keep waiting for a little bit longer, and we will see the hope soon.
To conclude, if we choose the stars, we should be aware that we choose the darkness, too. if we want to enjoy the stars, make every efforts we can to defeat our fear to the darkness and keep in faith on ourselves. In the end, we will surly see our own stars.

My Attitude towards to Marks
For our students, marks is above everything. Teachers will judge us from ourmarks. With marks we can be enrolled into junior middle schools. With marks, wecan be enrolled into senior middle schools. With marks we can be enrolled intocollege. With marks we can be enrolled into postgraduate and doctrine studies.Still with marks we can be graded and be allowed to go abroad for furtherstudies. Our parents will be strict with us with the marks. Our society judge usfrom marks. However, sometimes we students compare one another with marksdirectly. We are completely controlled by marks. We like them and we feel sorryfor them. But what attitude towards our marks should we take?
Truly, marks functions cannot be underestimated. In terms of test in ourstudy, marks are fair and real. That is the reason why we say “Everyone is equalbefore marks. ”
However,I think marks are the sole standard to judge the success or failureof students in exams. Sometimes, marks more than ten or less than one or two inour exams comparing with others mean not everything. The success or failure inexams will be influenced by experience on the spot and the examinee’s healthetc. Once in a while one cannot fail in exams. “ Success or failure is commonsense for military. ” I think everyone is familiar with the famous saying. Don’tyou think such will be the case with our study? In exams, one cannot be “never-defeated general” . Even though one will be very good in everyday study,he cannot succeed in every exam sometimes. We can get proof from the fact thatthe very best one we call “Number One Scholar” in the entrance exams for collegeand ordinary middle school and specialized secondary school over the years isnot eminent above all others nor top student in every study.
As a matter of fact,“high marks” and “ability” are not unified. Some timeago,a new phrase “ high marks but poor competence” came into being. Once Ihappened to meet such a teacher as this .It is said that the teacher justgraduated from a far-famed key university. But his teaching result is much lessthan that of the one who just graduated from a not-well-renowned college. Whenlecturing, the teacher only repeated what the text-books says, which was verydull so the his students’ interest in learning was not aroused. His teaching wasshort of unity of teaching and learning. At present there is a fact that we knowa few brilliant and top college graduates are not qualified for their posts. Thereason for it may be lack of the ability to combine knowledge learnt from bookswith pragmatics in their work. Students of this kind will be successful in everyexam but they will be able to use freely their knowledge in their posts. Don’tyou think it waste training such persons for the country?
To sum up from the above,I can say marks are not absolutely authoritativefor some. If we neglect training and developing the students’ ability andcompetence and if we only seek for the high marks,we will be absolutely wrong. We should take an objective attitude towards the marks. Neither should weneglect them nor should we overvalue them like a God.
