Dear teachers and students, good morning!Welcome to the 6th English Festival of Entel Foreign Language School!The theme of this year’s English Festival is“Appreciate Classics, Salute Masters”.It intends to expose the students to a variety of choices to read for delight and ability.Francis Bacon once said studies perfect nature, and are perfected by experience.By reading, pondering on the classic works and studying the masters’life experiences, we learn to value the rich culture and be better people.While appreciating the stories, we gain a better understanding of ourselves as well.I wish all of you can make full use of the English skills you’ve gained to see the world, to know the progress of human civilization, and introduce our own culture to the world in English.Thus, you are actually building a cultural bridge between the East and West.In the past year, students of Entel have made great achievements in English.More than two hundred students won prizes in English competitions of all sorts.Shi Buai from Junior Two won the third prize in the 21st Century Cup National English Speaking Competition, Pang Jiayu and Zhou Yidie won the first prizes of in Zhejiang Province.In the Star of Outlook English Talent Competition held not long ago, Yang Qifan and Ge Xiaoyi won the second place and third place in Junior Category, Gui Xuyue and other seven students won first prizes.Meanwhile, our school has sent more than 50 teachers and students abroad, and received three or four hundred international friends from all over the world.During these exchange programs, students were able to widen their horizon, enhance the friendship and get a better understanding of the world.This year, we will follow the pattern of past years.We’ll have English Singing Competition by Junior One, Mini plays of Classic by Junior Two, English Dubbing Show by Junior Three and Speech Contest, English Debate by senior students.In addition, every class is going to introduce a master to all the teachers and students in a vivid form.We hope that every one will have an opportunity to get involved in those.Don’t hesitate to show yourselves, practice your skills and be ready for the challenges of the future.I wish this English festival a great success!

早上好！
在這柳芽吐嫩、春意盎然的季節里，我校第三屆英語節隆重開幕了！同學們，英語作為一門重要的世界語言，已經成為現代人必備的交流工具，正逐漸地滲透到人們的學習、生活和工作中。英語，是每一個現代人不可或缺的一項基本技能。英語，更是通往世界的橋梁，只有學好了英語才能拿到走向世界的通行證。
