7.agree or disagree: advertising aiming at children should be restricted.i disagree.it’s fair to advertize to children even children are always said to be unable to distinguish between reality and fiction, between entertainment and advertising.a supposed consequence of advertising is that children are being persuaded to demand things that they don’t need and to adopt consumerist values and attitudes in their formative years.however, it’s up to the parents to determine what should and shouldn’t be bought for their children.children need to know how to see these ads and realize how a certain product would affect them and thus balance out the pros and cons and see if it’s in their best interest.in my opinion, the parents as well as the world need to stop babying children and let them learn lessons for life, because certain things can’t be restricted well.temptation is always at children’s side.they have to learn to resist and make responsible decisions.8.agree or disagree: junk food should be taxed.cost and gain more profit.so, it’s reasonable to tax them.9.agree or disagree: universities should abolish the practice of cutting off the electricity at dormitory at night.i agree with it.as a student, i should say, university shouldn’t cut off electricity at dormitory at night.the original intention for university to cut off electricity is to ensure our rest for some students will stay up very late if there is nothing to limit them.however, these students are minority.most students have regular timetable.what’s more, we are now already in university, i think we shouldn’t be treated like high school students any longer.especially in summer hot days, no electricity at night would be a nightmare to all students.we can’t fall asleep without electric fans.i can’t just imagine that.universities should think more for their students and trust their self-control.10.some say music training in college is unnecessary, while others do not believe so.what is your opinion on this issue? 11.some people like to do only what they already do well.other people prefer to try new things and take risks.which do you prefer? 12.some say military training at college is necessary while other disagree.what’s your point of view on this subject? why? i think military training at college is necessary.nowadays, many undergraduates are lacking in self-control and discipline.the military training is quite useful in this case.we know that military training is very strict.during the training, we learn to obey the disciplines and keep high 13.what qualities do you think a friend should have to continue the friendship? use specific reasons to support your idea.14.some people say college degree begins to lose shining while others do not think so.what’s your point of view on this subject? why? it’s not an easy question.on the whole, i think, college degree do begin to lose shining but we should never think it unimportant.15.some say growing up in rich family promotes children’s personality and character.some think otherwise.what’s your opinion? why? not like that.subjectively speaking, poor children are easy to feel inferior and thus can’t study well.even if they study well, they hardly do well in practicing ability.objectively speaking, poor children can hardly receive good and plentiful education because of the economic limit.that will cause deficiency in some literal or artistic talent such as music or dance.therefore, i think children’s personality have little relation to their family situation.16.in universities, students should take history courses no matter what field they study.do you agree? 2、決賽（時(shí)間：11月中旬）

決賽內(nèi)容：（分為兩環(huán)節(jié)）

（一）根據(jù)給定的話題進(jìn)行命題演講（限時(shí)1—2分鐘）。演講題目將在復(fù)賽開(kāi)始前三天發(fā)給每一位參賽選手。

（二）參賽選手有1分鐘的思考時(shí)間，隨后進(jìn)行一個(gè)2分鐘的現(xiàn)場(chǎng)抽題即興演講，選手將在上臺(tái)前5分鐘得到即興演講題目。評(píng)委根據(jù)選手表現(xiàn)提問(wèn)，根據(jù)選手綜合能力進(jìn)行打分。

注：專業(yè)組與非專業(yè)組比賽分開(kāi)進(jìn)行。其中命題演講是參賽者在比賽前選好文章進(jìn)行演講。即興演講是現(xiàn)場(chǎng)抽題現(xiàn)場(chǎng)回答。評(píng)委們用英語(yǔ)提問(wèn)，可以是與主題有關(guān)的或是演講者在演講過(guò)程中涉及的問(wèn)題或是評(píng)委感興趣的問(wèn)題，參賽者用英文回答，這考察了選手們的應(yīng)變能力和對(duì)英語(yǔ)的運(yùn)用能力。

關(guān)于舉辦第三屆大學(xué)生英語(yǔ)朗誦比賽的通知

教學(xué)系：

為調(diào)動(dòng)廣大學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的積極性，提高我校的大學(xué)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)質(zhì)量，加強(qiáng)我校的學(xué)風(fēng)建設(shè)，營(yíng)造積極、向上的校園文化氛圍，配合全國(guó)大學(xué)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)的改革，決定舉行第三屆大學(xué)生英語(yǔ)朗誦比賽。現(xiàn)將有關(guān)事項(xiàng)通知如下：

一、競(jìng)賽目的為了調(diào)動(dòng)廣大學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的積極性，提高大學(xué)生英語(yǔ)聽(tīng)、說(shuō)方面的實(shí)際運(yùn)用能力，有力地配合專業(yè)學(xué)習(xí)，增強(qiáng)學(xué)生掌握和運(yùn)用所學(xué)知識(shí)的能力，從而提高學(xué)生在社會(huì)上的競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力。

四、比賽形式

本次大賽共分為初賽、復(fù)賽和決賽三個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)。個(gè)人在班上報(bào)名，在大學(xué)英語(yǔ)教師的主持下各班進(jìn)行初賽，每班級(jí)通過(guò)初賽分別挑選1到2名選手參加復(fù)賽；復(fù)賽勝出的20名選手參加決賽。初賽要求于11月25日前統(tǒng)一全面結(jié)束，各英語(yǔ)老師務(wù)必于11月26日提交進(jìn)入復(fù)賽選手的名單。

五、比賽活動(dòng)具體內(nèi)容(一)比賽內(nèi)容：

選手自由選擇一篇英文文章進(jìn)行脫稿朗誦，時(shí)間不超過(guò)四分鐘。(二)比賽流程

1、選手在比賽過(guò)程中如果超時(shí)會(huì)得到的提示，3分鐘時(shí)工作人員會(huì)舉起停止牌，停止牌放下，表明選手超時(shí)，主持人終止選手朗誦。決賽時(shí)，選手朗誦完后，回答評(píng)委老師提出的問(wèn)題。

2、出場(chǎng)順序：由選手賽前抽簽決定出場(chǎng)順序。

3、注意事項(xiàng)：

1)必須控制好時(shí)間，限時(shí)環(huán)節(jié)以秒表計(jì)算嚴(yán)格執(zhí)行，以確保比賽順利完成。2)統(tǒng)計(jì)分?jǐn)?shù)的工作人員必須認(rèn)真、細(xì)致，確保計(jì)分準(zhǔn)確無(wú)誤。

（三）評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)：

比賽根據(jù)5大標(biāo)準(zhǔn)為依據(jù)評(píng)分：

1、朗誦內(nèi)容和形式(30分)；

2、英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言水平(語(yǔ)音語(yǔ)調(diào)、斷句、音調(diào)的起伏、音色的純度、重音、重讀)(30分)；

3、語(yǔ)言風(fēng)格和技巧/表達(dá)和準(zhǔn)確度(20分)；

4、綜合效果/節(jié)奏控制和觀眾反映（10分）；

5、回答問(wèn)題（10分）。

（四）決賽評(píng)分框架 1．參賽選手的總分將會(huì)去掉一個(gè)最高分和一個(gè)最低分，取余下分?jǐn)?shù)的平均值，分?jǐn)?shù)精確至小數(shù)點(diǎn)后兩位。前兩名選手比賽完之后一起打分。2．比賽中如出現(xiàn)重分，由主審評(píng)委決定名次。3．評(píng)委在每個(gè)單元比賽結(jié)束后打分，由記分員統(tǒng)計(jì)，并由主持人在下個(gè)選手結(jié)束比賽后報(bào)前一個(gè)選手的分?jǐn)?shù)。
