對兒童英語培訓的正確期待

孩子在不同的成長階段，有不同的語言發展目標。應該多看看孩子的點滴進步，而不要提前仰望更高的目標。

學齡前孩子參加英語培訓，授課的大部分內容，都屬于“此情此景”的語言范疇。換句話說，課上教給孩子的英語，大部分都是身邊正在發生、或者剛剛發生的事情。舉個例子，老師會拿著各種實物或照片，對孩子說：“看！這是餐巾紙（napkin）、這是水龍頭（faucet）、這是酸奶（yogurt）、這是茄子（eggplant）......”

再舉個例子，孩子們圍坐在老師身邊，觀看老師表演。老師演示各種動作，如起立（stand up）、坐下（sit down）、蹲下（squat down）、伸舌頭（stick out your tongue）、拍拍手（clap your hands）、皺眉眨眼（frown and wink）等等，老師一邊表演，一邊教孩子對應的英語表達。

可以看出，老師和孩子之間的英語交流，具有非常高的理解度。換句話說，老師演示的情景，和英文之間，形成一種“直觀而準確”的對應關系。正是依靠這種直觀、準確的語言對應關系，學齡前兒童才能掌握一點外語。

文字閱讀，則是更高層次的語言學習。外文閱讀，其特點恰恰是“抽象而模糊”，而不是“直觀而準確”。經典原版文學作品，抽象語言和意象語言交替出現，增加了孩子理解文本的難度。所以，孩子的外文閱讀力，需要專門訓練（即便是母語閱讀，孩子也需要系統訓練。我國 12 年中小學語文教育的重點，就是培養學生的母語讀寫能力）。

學齡前兒童，只要能和中外籍老師開展簡單的英語交流，臨睡前在媽媽的陪伴下，讀讀英語繪本，聽聽英語音頻，就已經非常棒了！系統的英語閱讀訓練，適宜在 7 歲以后進行。
