90年前的五月四日，3000多北京學生高呼“外爭國權，內懲國賊”、“取消二十一條”、“拒絕在合約上簽字”等口號，掀開了中國革命的新篇章。這既是一場影響深遠的偉大的愛國運動，也是一場深刻的思想解放的運動和新文化運動。

是的!這就是偉大的五四愛國運動。

在這場波瀾壯闊的革命青年運動中，愛國主義精神同科學、民主精神凝

聚為一體，共同創造了既有深刻內涵、又有鮮明時代特征的“五四”精神。“五四精神”是中國青年強烈愛國熱情的體現、是一種追求進步的精神、是一種不畏艱難，頑強斗爭的精神、它是革命前輩們，給我們留下的一筆中華民族寶貴的精神財富-----愛國、進步、民主、科學。

然而培根曾經說過：“青春是易逝的，你揮霍它，時間也會拋棄你。”作為新世紀的青年，是我們最先觸碰時代的前沿，也是我們，心跳牽動著民族的脈搏。

作為新世紀的大學生，我們要樹立遠大的理想。

人的一生只能享受一次青春，當一個人在年輕時就把自己的人生與人民的事業緊緊相連，他所創造的就是永恒的青春。我們要堅持勤奮學習，立志成才。二十一世紀，信息交流日益廣泛，知識更新大大加快。形勢逼人自強、催人奮進。我們要跟上時代步伐，更好地為現代化建設貢獻力量就必須學習學習再學習，打下堅實的知識功底。我們要善于創造，在學習中要善于創新，善于實踐，善于把所學的知識運用到改造自我、提高自我中去，不斷成才。

多年前，一群意氣風發的青年為了祖國的發展，用熱血和生命譜寫了一曲最壯麗的青春之歌，繪就了一幅最宏偉的青春圖畫。

如今，當時的青年大概都已飄然逝去，而他們在中國大地上曾經掀起的慷慨波濤，早已被定格成歷史長河中的輝煌畫卷。“五四”運動也已作為光輝的一頁載入了中華民族的史冊。然而，“五四”絕不僅僅是一個歷史事件，它是一種精神，它表現出了青年人對我們民族熾熱的愛，對國家前途和命運的關注，表現著青年人的責任和使命。

我們這一代青年人有幸生活在改革開放的大好時代，有幸站立在世紀和千年的交匯點上。我們是幸運者。面對新世紀，我們責任重大。我們回顧發揚“五四”精神，認真思索著，自己應該擁有一個怎樣的青春，怎樣的人生。記得，最初開始認識“五四”是從小學的歷史課開始的。那時，老師講到“五四”運動，向我們講述了帝國主義列強對中國的種種欺凌，講述了青年們為祖國不惜獻身的種種壯舉。當時，我們雖然還不能完全理解其中的深刻道理，但有如一絲曙光照亮蒙昧的荒原，我們幼小的心田中已播下了愛國的種子。漸漸地，我們長大了，我們成為風華正茂的青年，我們更加深刻地懂得了五四的傳統和精神。想想那些曾經與我們差不多大的五四青年吧！他們稚嫩的肩上早已承當起一份救亡圖存的重任，而今天建設祖國的重任將別無選擇地落在我們這一代人的肩上，我們是否應該為祖國的更加繁榮昌盛而奉獻我們的一切？

是啊，我們不小了，我們不能永遠停在父母寬大的羽翼下避風躲雨。我們需要做的是同父輩們一起，共同撐起一片藍天。
