口試如何做好英語口試中的“自我介紹”

近年來筆者有幸參加了大學英語四、六級考試口語考試(CETSpokenEnglishTest,簡稱CET-SET)的主考工作，對于考生在測試中出現(xiàn)的問題有所了解和感觸。

大學英語四、六級考試口語考試是由英語四、六級考試委員會組織的、用于測量我國大學生運用英語進行口頭交際的能力的全國性考試。凡獲得全國大學英語四、六級證書且成績達到一定分數(shù)線的在校大學生(包括研究生)均可報名參加考試。考試采取面對面的形式，一般由2-4名主考和3-4名學生組成。考試分為問答、發(fā)言和討論，問答等3部分。其中第一部分是“熱身”題，包括考生自我介紹和回答問題兩部分。整個考試全程錄象。

一.考生在“自我介紹”環(huán)節(jié)常見的問題

首先是跑題。顧名思義，自我介紹即介紹自我，其目的主要是確認考生信息準確無誤、幫助考生進入狀態(tài)及為第三部分的提問做準備。然而，在測試中相當一部分同學都將自我介紹變成了“家鄉(xiāng)介紹”、“專業(yè)介紹”等。“Mynameis×××.Iamfrom×××.×××isabeautifulcity.?”然后就開始介紹家鄉(xiāng)的歷史名勝和風景等。如南陽來的學生介紹張仲景、洛陽來的學生介紹洛陽的牡丹、開封來的學生介紹開封小吃和相國寺等屢見不鮮。

其次是千篇一律。計算機和網(wǎng)絡(luò)技術(shù)的發(fā)展和普及是一把雙刃劍。它們在為人們提供方便的同時也扼殺了人們的創(chuàng)造能力。在筆者測試過的考生中，網(wǎng)絡(luò)下載的自我介紹屢見不鮮，如超過90%的考生都使用了以下句型：Iamopen-minded,quickinthoughtandfondof?.考生給考官留下的印象以及考生的成績可以想象。

第三是變自我介紹為演講。由于考試的形式是公開的，考生的自我介紹都準備得相當充分。一分鐘的簡單自我介紹(abriefintroduction)變成了一篇長達3-5分鐘的演講，以至于主考老師不得不中途打斷。個別考生甚至把自我介紹變成了背誦，沒有語音語調(diào)的變化，沒有與主考的交流，面無表情干巴巴地生是將一片稿子給背了下來。

二.對策

以上問題的出現(xiàn)除了考生在考場上過于緊張之外，不自信是主要的原因。事實上，自我介紹所用的詞匯量較小，語法結(jié)構(gòu)也簡單，考生所需的是要能靈活運用所學的基本詞匯和語法結(jié)構(gòu)。針對以上問題，考生在準備自我介紹時應(yīng)注意以下幾點：

1.緊緊圍繞自己的實際情況做合理的介紹。自我介紹是“熱身”題，可以幫助考生緩解緊張的情緒，也使主考對于考生的口語水平有了初步的了解。自我介紹，顧名思義就是對個人情況的介紹，一般包括年齡、愛好、家庭成員、生活習慣等(姓名是主考專門問的第一個問題)，專業(yè)和家鄉(xiāng)也可以涉及，但注意不要喧賓奪主。當然，以上所列的的有關(guān)情況不一定要面面俱到，挑自己擅長的，又容易表達的常見的項目來說。例如，談專業(yè)問題時，尤其是表達醫(yī)學專業(yè)的專門詞匯，一般的英語教師不一定了解，自己說起來也不那么順口，可以稍作改變，避開該詞或?qū)υ撛~匯進行進一步解釋盡量用自己熟悉的簡短句型和詞匯。口語考試的測量不同于寫作，只要能達到交流的目的，表達中的暫時停頓、重復甚至句子的不連貫都是可以接受的。因而不必擔心句子長度或可以用復雜的句型或生僻的詞匯。形式是為內(nèi)容服務(wù)的，簡單的東西當然要用簡單的詞匯和句型。而在第二部分的發(fā)言和討論部分，由于要表達的內(nèi)容較為復雜，簡單句恐怕會影響你表達的正確和完整性。當然，語速不要過快也是一個要注意的問題，因為語速快并不等于英語好，相反，語速過快必然會導致一些音節(jié)被“吃掉”而影響表達的完整性。

2.加強語音的訓練。由于眾所周知的原因，我國學生的英語語音欠債不少。主要表現(xiàn)在重音位置錯誤，個別音發(fā)不對，語調(diào)帶有中國腔。講到最后還以“Ok.That’sall.Thankyouforyourattention.”結(jié)尾。死板：已經(jīng)問過好，問過姓名了，還要goodmorning/afternoon,mydearteachers!Nowpleaseallowmetointroducemyself.Mynameis?更有意思的是有個考生在離開考場前竟然扭頭說了一句“Thankyou啊!”。加強口語訓練的緊迫性可見一斑。

3.加強鍛煉。Practicemakesperfect.熟能生巧。有些考生基礎(chǔ)不錯，發(fā)音也可以，但是由于緊張，竟然在考場上大汗淋漓，光張口就是說不出話來。這主要是由于平時缺乏鍛煉造成的。而另一些人則很鎮(zhèn)定，一問，原來是學生干部，經(jīng)常上臺發(fā)言，所以膽量大。面試是學生畢業(yè)后找工作必不可少的一環(huán)，加強這方面的能力鍛煉不僅僅是英語一門課的問題，也是學生綜合素質(zhì)的需要。

語言是交際的工具，聽說是交際的主要形式。語音、詞匯和語法三個部分是語言的基本組成部分，聽說能力的培養(yǎng)需要從基礎(chǔ)做起，做到“語音要準，詞匯要多，語法要熟”，只有這樣才能學好英語，做好自我介紹也就順理成章了。
